The freezer itself is excellent and is perfect for our circumstances. Fairly compact and whisper-quiet, it is perfect for garage placement and I am sure would be fine both inside the house as well as outside as long as it was under cover. I can not vouch for the temperature extremes yet as it is the colder season here in SC but I am fairly certain it would survive just fine as long as it isn't continuously exposed to the direct summer sun. The controls are mechanical and there is no temperature gauge or light, I wasn't really looking for bells and whistles when I bought the freezer, just needed extra room for frozen food and something that could survive in my garage. Now for the 3-star rating and why I didn't go with a 5 (which it truly could be). After the freezer was delivered and set in place I went to stack some fish in there and it rocked back and smacked into my wall. I figured the support legs just needed to be adjusted but to my surprise, one of the brackets that held the adjustable support legs was completely missing (see pictures). It looks like it came from the factory without it installed as there is no evidence of hardware ever being installed in the designated holes for the bracket. GE does produce excellent products and this may have just been an error within their process, but none the less any product sent to the customer should include all of its parts and pieces.

This is a tentative rating. So far it's performing as expected. But it's advertised as garage ready so we'll see how it fairs through a Florida summer in the garage. Stay tuned.

Perfect size. What can I say? It keeps frozen foods frozen. Simple to set up, simple to operate. This 7 cu.ft. freezer is a good value.

We have been searching for awhile for the right freezer chest and this one checked all our requirements. It has a light outside to indicate power power is on, has two good size trays, and has more than enough storge space. It is also garage ready up to 110 degrees but in the end we opted to put it in our laundry room since we had the space and it also provides us with a folding surface! Highly recommend this freezer.

It gets the job done. No fancy feature. Just a good old chest freezer. It is very well made. I don't like GE products in particular. But this one is 5 stars for sure.

This freezer chest was EXACTLY what I was looking for. It fit perfectly in my condo. It is very roomy. Easy to set up. And whisper quiet!

The online purchase was easy. The company delivering called with the delivery time frame. The delivery went very easy and they put it where I requested. They even helped remove the packaging. I let it sit for the time frame requested before plugging it in. When I went to plug it in, the panel where the cord comes out, is not there. There was not sign of it in the unit or the packaging. Is this normal?

We purchase this for our detached garage. Live that’s it’s rated to zero degrees.

I got this in the middle of the pandemic. Its been really useful so far Pros: It reduced my trips to grocery store It is very quiet (no sound at all) It holds lots of stuff. You can easily fill in the food needed for 3 -4 weeks It can survive power outages for long time. there was a power outage in NJ after i bought this freezer. I didn't open the freezer for 24 hours(until power came back) there was still ice in the freezer. Cons: Cant think of any, but they delivered the freezer after 2 months ( maybe its because of the huge demand)

Great product , works very good. Only negative was the 13 weeks waiting for the freezer.

Purchased recently due to COVID for extra freezer storage to reduce store runs. So far so good the freezer maintains temperature. Upon first use it ran quiet while reaching the set temp (less than 2 hrs bottle water was frozen solid). Comes with a pretty standard warranty. Overall great buy.

Overall, this unit seems to be decent quality. However the include wire baskets prevent a proper seal and ice accumulates.

Perfect size, ideal for patio or garage. It does accumulate heavy frost and so it is important to maintain it. Overall I am extremely happy with this unit.

Bought this just to store our dogs raw meat and it hardly frosts up even when jam packed. Absolutely love it!

This freezer fits our small garage well, and is very quiet. It cooled down to freezing in a few hours after getting plugged in, and had no problem freezing a full load of new items overnight. It's simple, sturdy, quiet, and comes with a couple of handy baskets. We've only had it for a week, but so far, so good.

Once i received my freezer i was surprised on the room inside .very roomie and i will now be storing a lot of meat and other goodie .super happy ☺

Just got freezer delivered but looks like the back panel where the power cord originates is missing? There even appears to be screw holes for a panel. Nice place for a rodent to hang out. Hope it works better than the 1st impression.
