Opal Ice Maker does it all!
We’ve bought less expensive ice makers and regretted doing so every time. This is our 2nd unit and we are excited to enjoy plentiful, fresh ice and as much as we want. The production capacity, water storage tank (a must-have) and quiet operation are just a few of the reasons we’ll never own any other ice maker. Opal Ice Maker isn’t cheap, it’s an investment that will last years with regular cleaning. “You get what you pay for” has never been more true.

Love my Ice Maker

Great ice
I love ice if the maker its self didn’t mess up and make this awful noise after just opening it it would deserve 5 stars however I can not figure out why there is an awful noise

Cold Addition to the Family
I have thoroughly enjoyed my GE Opal 2.0 ice maker. Initially, I was hesitant to purchase one. After seeing one in action at a friend’s house during the holidays, I decided to purchase one 2 days later when I was able to locate one. My family enjoys the new addition as well!

Great Lakes under my machine all the time!
I have had this ice maker for a little time now and have had issues with it leaking all over my counter since I pulled it from the box. I constantly have to keep something under it to soak up all of the water. It's not just a little water, no, it's a lake under my machine. I have read where people are told to check the hoses. Don't you think that was the first thing I checked? I wouldn't tell any of my friends or family to purchase this ice machine. I would tell them to save some money and buy a cheaper one since this one leaks anyway.

Last 6 days.
Done great for 6 days and it stopped making ice. Gives an add water light and it's full. Tried over 2 hrs priming the pump and resetting. It starts dropping ice and gives a add water alarm.

More than worth the purchase
We skipped over so many cheaper options for an ice maker and we are glad we did. This ice maker makes a perfect nugget of ice for drinks and makes a lot in just one hour. The soft chew ice is perfect and was exactly what we were looking to buy.
