These are small enough to reach into many areas. I like them for removing simple things like zip ties without accidentally slicing up anything else; it's a very controlled tool. They're also great for clipping down hose clamps to proper length for a more organized look. The nips are angled-in which means the object you're cutting needs to be more than a 1/16th inch long/thick or else it won't grip. The spring could be stronger (as it seems to have a weak return) but it'll do. The best thing about them is they're very sharp, and the connecting pin is welded in, part of the actual frame and non-removable (meaning they won't ever fall apart).

I was actually surprised by this set of nippers. The size is tiny, great for nipping off wire ends, but they have a really decent quality steel and have not dulled at all through many nippings of soft steel, chicken wire, and a few protruding screw tips. I've tried a few tools with the GearWrench brand and have been happy so far. The prices are moderate, but the quality is very good for DIY. I'd recommend them especially for outdoor work around the yard, like garden fencing, etc.

The Gear Wrench 4-1/4 inch mini end cutting nippers are a designed for those next to impossible places their bigger counter parts can't reach. Or for those smaller projects where you don't need a larger pair of end cutters. Very well designed with spring action open makes the tool very easy to use. The padded handles make the tool very comfortable to use all day. Highly recommended.

Small, solidly built pair of end-cut nippers with spring-loaded and rubber cushioned grips. I'm always surprised, when I'm doing a project, how often I reach for a pair of end-cut pliers. These are VERY compact, great for tight spaces, electronic projects, or even craft applications. The build quality is impressive, and they are sharp enough to make short work of wire, soldered connections, staples, small nails, etc. They are spring-loaded, which is useful; otherwise, they are small enough that they might be a bit fiddly. My only real concern is with the spring assembly, which doesn't seem quite as robust as the rest of the tool. The lifetime warranty offers some peace of mind. Highly recommended.

This review is for 4-1/4" GEARWRENCH End Cutting Nippers, model 82003, by Apex Tool Group of Sparks, MD. This nipper is ideal for cutting wire and removing staples and small nails in tight quarters. It is small enough to fit nicely in the palm of my hand and is spring-loaded so that it opens itself quickly after release of grip on the handles. The handles are curved nicely and covered with a soft-grip for comfort during use. The cutters are quite sharp and have remained so after quite a bit of use for cutting stiff steel wire, an indication of suitable tool hardness. This tool has a lifetime warranty. This tool is a very useful addition to my handyman tool collection.

Nice size. Easily fits in your palm. Cutting edges are sharp and the design gives you nice leverage when cutting. Spring opening makes it easy to make multiple cuts without having the handles expand beyond the size of your palm. Works nicely in small areas. Rubber coated handles makes it easy to grip. Easily cuts electrical wiring and small diameter stainless wire

I work in tight spaces with electrical and I found this mini nipper cutter plier gets right in flush to snip a clean cut. The tool itself only measures 4 inches in length, one inch thick, and has a black and red rubberized handle grips which gives a non slip and comfortable feel while working with. Very high quality metal and a sharp cutter. A welcome addition to my tool arsenal!

These mini nippers are quite the handing and useful tool. I've been using these to pull mails out of old boards with great success. The spring opened easily and are small enough for even my pocket. I like the color coating too making them easy to spot. I have found these to use be useful in other applications as well. I really liked the size and the design.

These mini nippers are great for getting into tight areas or doing fine work on smaller objects. The ergonomic handles with rubber over mold are very comfortable and easy to hold even with wet hands. The tool is spring loaded which makes operation a breeze and as an added bonus, the spring is hidden so it won't get in the way when you are trying to grip the cutter.

Frankly, one can't have enough small nippers. The really nice thing about these are they are small yet powerful and have a nice spring action that opens after each cut or pull. In fact, what I find I use them for most of all is pulling nails, staples or tacks when removing carpet or upholstery material as well as loosening up nails on wall hangers. They also cut through wires that are not too hard or thick, for example chicken wire or 16 gauge concrete tie wire.
