Good but not as good as Cresent/Wiss
I have both the Milwaukee and Cresent Wiss scissors. I use both scissors to cut anything thick such as cardboard boxes and carpet. The Milwaukee scissors will cut ok but the Cresent Wiss will cut with less effort than the Milwaukee’s. In my opinion I would buy the Cresent Wiss brand.

Excellent, Sharp, Precise, Strong, Durable. Extremely Well Made.
Precise accurate cuts are easy; fine serrated edge, perfect amount of blade pressure due to threaded pivot bolt with intricate ‘washers’ preloading the blades for best possible cutting. Pivot bolt is actually adjustable. Easily made very precise thin cuts in paper, mail and a variety of packaging with ease. Scissors seem too good for DIY ‘mis-use.’ But…. rounded smooth red handle grips and index finger groove are very comfortable, large and easy to hold securely for precise control. Offset is great for standing while cutting. Scissors also slip in front jean pocket nicely for handy access. Great DIY tool that is now part of the everyday tool bucket. For under twenty bucks these are quite a deal. Highly satisfied and recommend Milwaukees Jobsite Offset Precision Scissors Model #48-22-4047. Great for bird netting, thin styrofoam, cardboard and best thing- eliminating ‘plastic rage’ by easily cutting clamshell plastic packaging (much safer than knives) making them great to have at home, with DIY and jobsite tools. Milwaukee continues stepping up tool standards, and these scissors are proof.
These Milwaukee scissors have so many extra features it is hard to list them all. They are metal from the cutting tip all the way around the figure holes -- with comfortable plastic grips molded over the metal tang. Those grips include a groove for your index finger in front of the lower loop. This helps make the scissors feel like part of your hand. The sharp, cutting edge of the blades has a special kind of slightly serrated surface to help keep goop and debris away from the actual cutting edge so the scissors stay sharp even after messy cuts. The lower blade has an inch scale that can be used as an impromptu depth gauge or to keep your cuts near a specific length. The loops are large enough for a man’s hands -- even when wearing work gloves. The blades can cut up to 4 inches. The fastener that holds the two blades together is a fancy thing with some sort of serrated washer that is supposed to stay tight forever. I have only used them a few times so I cannot testify regarding their longevity, but these are my go-to job-site scissors now great for cutting anything.
I ordered both the Milwaukee Jobsite Offset Precision Scissors along
with a pair of Milwaukee Jobsite Straight Scissors to use in my shop. For years in my shop, I have used scissors, both sewing and kitchen, that my wife was going to discard when they got dull. I had to then attempt to sharpen them and have never been fully satisfied with their performance. The Milwaukee scissors are much heavier duty and longer than even the kitchen shears I have used. As you might expect, both arrived in similar packaging which was a real pain to open. As you can see in the photo the plastic was bonded front to back in the finger holes of the scissors. It requires a sharp tool to slice through the plastic and using a knife or a box cutter was hazardous. Once I had one pair out of its’ package it easily cut through the tough plastic of the other pair, but was ineffective in removing the plastic in the handle holes. Dangerous and frustrating.
Once I had the scissors out of their diabolical packaging, I was very pleased with both pair. Both are heavy duty and sharp. With the offset pair having longer cutting blades. The different angles are handy for different cuts with the offset scissors good for material that can be laid flat on the workbench while cuts that are hand held or on material that stick out from a larger object, the straight scissors seem more natural.
The scissors are both well balanced and the ergonometrics of the handles are very comfortable for my large hands. They work as well with work gloves on as with bare hands. Both pairs have ruler markings for precise cuts when you don’t want to mark the material you are cutting, however, the markings are very difficult to see under any glare. I used a permanent black marker to highlight the markings but the lines are not etched, therefore the markers must be carefully drawn with a thin tipped pen.
I am very appreciative of the hinge design with ridged facings that act like lock washers without the fuss. That design feature facilitates separating the blades for sharpening and tightening them to the optimum torque when reconnecting them.
Heavy duty, sharp and ergonometric, these scissors should hold up for years; just be careful getting them out of the packages. I’m glad I got one of each style!
These Milwaukee Jobsite Offset Precision Straight Scissors are a very good quality. They are firm in my hand and easy to operate. I like that they have larger handle loops so I can use even when I have my work gloves on! I also like that there is a ruler mark on them which makes it easy to cut the length you want without having to try and hold a measuring tape alongside while cutting. They also have a bolt-lock so the scissor's jaws won't loosen their position, which should provide good precision cutting!
The Milwaukee Jobsite Offset Precision Scissors I got from HomeDepot is a nice heavy steel scissors. The grips provide a comfortable fit and the offset allows me a more pleasant angle to view the cutting ares. As a DIYer I need tools that are quality made and dependable. This scissors even has a ruler inscribed on the left blade to aid in making correct cuts. We would recommend the Milwaukee Jobsite Precision Scissors for your tool box.
This item is of excellent quality, it met my expectations.
