I had a contractor install this as it was included in a larger project (complete exterior and siding job) but typically do my own work and I feel the installation on this product is straight forward and simple. Very achievable DIY project. The finished product looks great and am very happy with how it turned out. I live in Northern Minnesota and experience very cold and harsh weather in the winter and fairly warm weather in the summer so I am very curious to see how this product handles the temperature changes and its durability. First impression shows to be a durable product. Biggest drawback is the price (seems expensive for foam) but again, the final product turned out great and I am very happy with the look.

I bought this to replace the vinyl siding on my home. I built an add on garage and wanted a stone look and it's beautiful.

I installed over 130 sq ft of Kenai Genstone on a 2nd story front side over the weekend with ease. This was my first experience working with the material, and learned quickly how to cut it and measure. Installation was done over sheet siding without issue using deck screws. Now we really want to do the lower section. I ordered directly from Genstone and they shipped materials via a trucking company. It arrived on a pallet in separate boxes for each type.

Bought these panels and corner pieces to make an outdoor kitchen. They look like real stone but are so lightweight. Very easy to install. The product is able to cut with a hand saw very easily when cuts are necessary. Highly recommend

I removed an old deck and i wanted a strong refined look to my new deck. I did not want lattus or a planter... just a clean look. The stone pannels did just that. I love them so far. They are the face of my new deck.

Gem stone products exceeded our expectations. I am retired, 70 years old and complete this project by myself. Following the instructions available from the wed site and looking at few UTube examples prepared me for a successful project. Many positive complements from neighbors and three difference contractors. The products give a realistic appearance of real stone work. easy to install, recommend you lay out you project before you start for best results. I am planning additional projects with this product. best of all the Gem Stone staff were available to address my questions and offer suggestions. below are before and after pictures of my first project with Gem Stone.

I finished this project a few months ago and we are very satisfied with the results. We have gotten many compliments on how nice the stone looks. The panels were very easy to cut and install. I chose to use adhesive on the back of the panel along with screws to attach them to the wall.

I installed this product as a DIY project as I do have construction in my background. This product was extremely easy to install and with the offset corners, the product looks as real as it gets. What I especially like is the added benefits of the R value and noise reduction because of the dense foam. I compared this product to others and I think this product has the best definition, meaning it has great lines and a depth that gives it a very real look when installed.

We purchased 8 panel systems for a porch remodel. It turned out AMAZING! It truly changed the entire look of our home and we couldn't be happier with the finished product.

I redid deck facing with this ledger rock product. I was very careful to measure several times before I cut. It cuts like butter. Very happy with the end project.

The 40 year old stone cladding on the front of our home was in need of replacing. After researching several products we selected GenStone Desert Sunrise Stacked Stone panels. The panels were easy to work with and miter using tools most DIYer's have. Received many compliments on the finished project and would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to update their home without the high price.

I had to replace some very poorly installed and deteriorated EFIS. After removing the bottom 30 inches of the exterior wall, I clad the studs with concrete backer board, flashed and sealed it and installed gemstone.

When we built our house in 2012 we wanted a stone fireplace but could not afford one at the time. Years later we looked into a fireplace installation and found out the weight of the project would be just as big of problem as the cost. More support would have to be installed in the basement and make more expense. I had gave up on the project but my wife was going to find a way. One night she ran across your product on the internet. After studying the product myself and later looking at actual samples we not only eliminated the weight problem but the cost also. I am not a carpenter but installed the whole thing using a hand saw and a cordless drill. We couldn't be happier with the result. Thank you Gen Stone!

I love the look of rock and really wanted more of it inside and outside my craftsman style house. I started researching options, and found the stacked stone panels from Genstone. After I watched the installation video, and added up the cost, labor, and installation requirements, it was a no brainer.....buy the Genstone. The product looks great, has an awesome warranty, and is super easy to install. The "concrete rocks" are not real either, and I didn't want the mess and weight in my house. Everyone who has seen my wall has loved it, and I am very pleased with it. I am currently working on my second project using Genstone Kenai panels, and I would recommend them to anyone....

My wife and I installed this a couple of months ago to add a little "bling" to the front of a cabin that we just had built that was skinned with pole barn metal siding. We discussed what we planned to do with the builder and agreed on how to transition at the top and ends from metal to the stone veneer. Our project only needed 6 panels and 5 ledger sections for the single row of 2' tall panels. The end sections were easy to cut using a circular saw or table saw. We made angled cuts at the ends to transition to the corner trim. We used a utility knife to trim the ends by the sliding glass door so they fit into the J trim. We used a file to taper off the cut edges to look more realistic. The screws attaching the panels are easily hidden in grout lines below a simulated rock. We caulked over the screws and used Genstone's touch up kit to blend in the caulked and cut areas. We are happy with the outcome. There was no masonry work involved. This product provided the best appearance for the least amount of work of the products we looked at in my opinion. Contacted Genstone with questions regarding touch up paint and color matched caulk. They were very helpful. I actually give it 4.5 stars versus 4. It doesn't "feel" like real stone if you touch it but you have to be prepared to do masonry work for something that does along with the added weight and work.

this product is definatly the perfect choice for us, my only regret is that I didnt irder more. The friendly staff at Lowes helped us to outline our project and order tje perfect amount for what we needed. after seeing the product immediately started thinking of new projects!

I purchased Gen stone for a small area on my home that was exposed after tearing off my rotten wrap around deck. I was unsure how to cover up the exposed foundation as well as how to deal with the rotten siding that was exposed now the deck was gone. My wife wanted to do stone which I could have done but was not looking forward to the added time to this project. Gen Stone was the perfect solution! It looks great added an insulating value to my foundation. Any DIYer should consider this over actual stone.

The product is not very durable. I worry that if it get bumps into or hit with a ball, It will get damaged. I was expecting something much more durable for the price. With that said, the product is very attractive from a distance and looks like rocks until you get up close and touch it.

Built outside bar and the outcome was so good my wife had me do other projects. Very easy to install. Also Sales rep Kevin was very helpful and personable. Too bad I have no more projects. My neighbors are in awe of the realism of the stone.

I purchased in sept covid delayed arrival. Product took only hour to install light easy to cut. Replaced old brick facade really improved look

It took longer then I would have liked to receive it and weather got too cold to install this year I will say your customer service showed concern about the back order and kept me up to date. Also my installation questions were answered clearly and feel comfortable about further help if needed next spring. I will follow up with you after installation.

I purchased the Kenai ledgestone for skirting on a park model home. The installation was very easy and the finished product looks great. There is no mixing mortar or using a wet saw for cuts, all you need is a screw gun, table saw, and hand saw( a chop saw makes straight cuts easier)

This stone has transformed my lakehouse entryway! It’s so beautiful and it looks and feels real! You will not be disappointed. Believe me. As a NH resident with lots of real stone here this was a better option as it is very light weight and water resistant. My contractor loved it and it was his first installation. He was very impressed! You will not be disappointed!

I saw this product for the first time at an ADA conference in Denver, and was very impressed. It looks just like real stone, but much lighter and easier to install. Easy to customize fit with simple hand tools. Installed over stucco with no issues. Great curb appeal and a fraction of the cost of stone, especially on the labor. You can do it yourself!

Anyone looking to get a true look of natural stone with about 1/100th of the labor should definitely purchase this product. The ease of installation is unbelievable and the finished product looks awesome. Living in the northeast I have the full range of seasons and haven't noticed one bit of discoloration or delamination- the product is incredible!!. Also, just as important the staff over at Genstone is fantastic- My "hat is off" to Ryan Jackson and his team. Buy and install this and I guarantee you won't be disappointed!
