We were looking for a simple swing set for our very young grandsons when they come to visit. We purchased the additional nest swing and a toddler swing for it as well. It took my husband and I about 8 hours to put together, The directions were clear and the kit was complete and well marked. We are pleased with its appearance and sturdiness and expect the kids will have hours of fun on it.

The instructions were easy to follow but sometimes finding the correct hardware and wood was time consuming. Worth every minute though! I have 3 boys 8,6 & 5 and they play on it for hours! They love that it had a rock wall and a rope ladder. Its extremely sturdy and something they will play on for years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A local Church bought this Gorilla Treasure Cove 2 playset, had a new fence put up, and suddenly no one to assemble it due to the week of July 4th, most builder/assembler types are in their busiest season while others are mostly on vacation. I volunteered/donated the week to the assembly as a community gesture, for the children. Anyway, first off, ALWAYS follow the directions on these playsets: They are engineered to be assembled in specific order, by the letter, and IF you don't you will have to go back and undo what you've assembled to continue forward at some point. I had help on day one for 5 hours and spent half of day two undoing most of what they assembled, thinking they could cut corners by jumping ahead. All of the parts are marked with coded alpha/numeric stamps which my only request for bettering the plans would be to add those codestamps to the assembly plan instead of just the material list. Would save a LOT of time and confusion spent measuring parts over and over in search of a measurement match. (It's how modular office furniture parts are marked/coded and saves much time unloading 18 wheelers and staging parts pre-assembly, btw.) Secondly, the lumber used to mill these parts is lighter than say treated pine, so don't be intimidated by the size of the towers. Two lean people can easily stand the towers after horizontal assembly, and not out of the question done as a one person task. Once all towers are locked together and all bolts are tightened down, levelled/plumbed, the playset is very stable and safe. The lumber is smooth and sharp corners and edges removed, plastic and metal parts/toys are smooth and comfortable. There are plenty of combined activities to do for a horde of kids and my 3 yr old daughter was the first on it, my little test pilot...she LOVES it! Now I want one for our yard. My husband and I have put other sets together....this one was the best. We are so pleased with it and our grandkids love it. It was only missing one part and they will ship that to me. I recommend opening everything and organizing the pieces and hardware. Follow the instructions step by step. Don't second guess. If they leave a bolt out, there is a reason...it will come later. The hardest part was getting the tower posts plumb and level.

Easy to follow instructions. Everything is pre drilled which makes it simple to assemble. Just make sure you have time, it takes a lot of time to assemble . Prepare for the UPS driver to be of no help getting it off the 18 wheeler it comes on. Have a fork lift of some kind that lifts 1600 lbs. My driver would not cut the straps and unload it one box at a time, he said if I cut the straps he would take it back to where he got it. So we drug it out of his truck with a rope and my tractor, it slammed off the ground but amazingly nothing broke, this is the only reason it did not get 5 stars. The playset is super sturdy/heavy duty. I recommend the timber shield, it's a really nice shrink wrapped plastic on all the posts and beams. I don't have it done yet but everything I see looks like great quality parts .

It’s way to much for a every day guy to attempt to assemble, hire the right person to put it together for you . Once it’s together and you turn the kids loose, it’s as nice as anything at any playground , great product, looks like it will out last my grandkids .

We’ve had it now for a month and a half and still don’t have it put together. We started, but we are needing to hire someone to finish it. It’s a little too difficult for my husband and I. There’s over 200 pages of instructions and we are on page 38. I’ll rate it as average until my grandchildren can play on it.

My kids loved it, every feature. The only issue I had was there was a missing box and no way for me to know unless I tried to inventory every part. A box was missing from the pallet, so it appeared I had everything until we got a couple steps started not being able to find pieces. I found some directions very hard to understand but most of them were pretty straightforward and easy to follow. When I got the missing box delivered it was missing things in that box. So I had to wait for a third shipment. We had multiple groups of adults helping put this together over multiple weekends, 6-24 hours estimate doesn’t count trying read and understanding directions or inventory parts or find parts. The hardware was a lot to manage, we got screw tool box tray for the stuff worked nicely. I highly recommend hiring someone to put it together. The only thing missing a tire swing and monkey bars, my kids pointed out, but they still love it.

Probably would love our playground if we had all the pieces but Gorilla failed to send us about 30% of the playground and won’t answer their phone or return multiple emails. Can’t recommend anyone buy anything from them.

I assume the playset will be fine, but noone that the Pro Referral from HD will install it. It remains in boxes. :(

We ordered this swing set a couple months ago. After sorting all the boxes, we realized there were 3 boxes and two slides missing. When we called customer service, they told us we had to return the whole thing and we have to reorder. My husband had started putting it together so we had to take the whole thing down and pack it up. It took a whole month to get and only a few days to return. We ended up re-purchasing from somewhere else because of the whole ordeal. It was a disappointing experience.

Amazing playset! It should be noted that nothing is pre-assembled. It took a team of three people two days to put this together. Do not be surprised that it may cost a bit to have it put together. That being said, it is well worth the effort.

For how many boxes it came in, I thought it would be missing pieces but to my pleasant surprise it was all there! I love the safety features as they put me at ease for sure. The wood is high quality, well cut, and beautiful. The accessories and details really spice up the product. Very impressed and well worth it! This playset will last my family for years to come!

Good playground, quality is acceptable. Wish that it was packed in a more logical manner.

Pros hired by Home Depot referral said assembly complicated. Took 2 guys 4-5 days to assemble. The slides are FAST. Sandbox is a bit small. Picnic table only has ONE side of seating, (I didn’t realize that!), the unit overall is smaller than I thought it would be. Other than that, kids loves it!

When it’s finally done it truly is a beautiful play set. It took me approximately 30 hours to put together and I am pretty handy. When it is complete it is very solid and sturdy. We love it and the grandkids love it. Follow the instruction manual and be patient .

The wood is very good quality and when put together the playset is very sturdy. We would recommend this playset to friends. It did take a long time to put together but was worth it in the end!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just finished putting it together and my son is obsessed with playing with it. A couple small problems we ran into. The slide was very difficult to assemble, and the top buckled before we could put the brackets on, which was following the instructions. The wood roof was frustrating. It may have swelled up in the humidity and some pieces were not perfectly straight for alignment. One piece of wood cracked as we were putting in a screw and we were missing a piece of wood for mounting the bracket for the slide. Except for the roof and the slide it was pretty easy and enjoyable to put together.

Read before you purchase: We bought this set for my grandkids, 4 and 6. They absolutely love it, but I have significant concerns about the safety of the clatter bridge. It is held together with chain and wood slats that little toes can easily get caught in. If this were to occur, it could cause amputation. I'm not joking or overestimating the strength and danger. If a child were to crawl on it, their fingers are in going to get caught, especially if two kids are on at the same time. Underneath the bridge lies the same danger as older kids can reach underneath, push up on it while their friends are crossing and the undulation can make it very easy to catch fingers in between slats. The other aspect is that this is not a simple install AT ALL. The instructions leave a lot to be desired. The packages and parts are difficult to figure out. It was so unorganized and sometimes ridiculous. For instance the parts you need are listed in the directions you are reading each step but instead of labeling on that page what crate they can be found in, you have to go through a ton of pages to find out the crate number. My son, his father, and I put it together and the two of them are master mechanics/carpenters and my son is also an engineer who designs, builds, and installs curtain wall for high risers... I was a GC... We were often scratching our heads trying to figure out where to find things. It took a lot longer than the instructions say. Just carrying the materials and uncrating takes many hours. You need to know carpentry or you will be beyond frustrated. The machining of the parts was not perfect, which is to be expected, but if you don't have the right tools or the know how, this set will not come together beautifully and safely. I'm happy now that it is done and that we did it as it was an awesome family project, but I kept thinking it appropriate to warn people who may not realize how much time it would take. It would have been worth it to hire someone who does this routinely.

The play set seems to be great for my grand kids but it takes forever to build when you are doing it yourself.

Not an easy project to tackle yourself but with a few friends and a long weekend its doable. Great product!
