My husband and I bought this cedar planter to modify and match our deck. We used left over composite decking which was close enough in profile and cut to fit inside the posts. We primed the cedar and then painted the cedar to blend with deck. Looks like a custom planter was built for us. My husband is not a carpenter just has a good miter saw and power nailer.

Easy to assemble except for corner post covers. Drill & screwdriver necessary. It took a long time to arrive. Looks nice.

Giving this only four stars because the six top caps were not in box. I emailed company and if they send them to me I will change to five stars. I am 66 female and these were easy to put together and nice and tall. Can’t wait for next summer to fill them with fresh veggies. I hope they last a few years

What I was looking for at the price I wanted to pay. Easy to put together and manipulate in setting up.

Overall I liked the product. It saved me a lot of time. I bought both the finished wood and unfinished wood beds and found that the unfininshed wood went together easier, although the finished wood seemed to be a better quality. One of the planks on my unfinsihed planter box is warped. I'm hoping it straightens out. It was a little difficult putting this one together because they didn't finish the ends where they slide into each other. One end cracked a little, but not significantly. I ended up spraying the ends with silicone before inserting them and that helped. I put the whole thing together by myself in less than half an hour. They look pretty good, but I'm thinking I really didn't need them this tall for growing lettuce and other greens. The shorter ones would work just as well. I do wish they came with a plastic cover to grow greens in the winter. I will be making my own.

I would recommend this product, but be mindful of the “rough cuts”. The machined wood needs to be cleaned out BEFORE assembly. And if you are not careful, the end posts will split. It is a good product, just not exceptional.

They were easy to put together. I ordered 3 of them. One was missing a board. I called the company and they sent me one. I received ot in 2 days. They look great. I would recommend them.

Great buy. I bought 2 of these kits, and they worked better than I thought they would, I followed the recommendations of the reviews, cleaned the channels first with a putty knife. I stained them with Thompson's stain and waterproofing. Assembly only took about 30 minutes for both. Planted each with veggies, and so far so good. I do recommend tilling the soil, or at least turn it over first, then add soil to desired levels. I have been square foot gardening for over 30 years, and I would recommend Greene's Premium Cedar Raised Beds, for any level of gardener, from a beginner to the most experienced, they work great in small spaces. See the attached photos of my beds.

Overall this was a cost effective way to get a raised bet (when it was on sale). Packaging was good, and all the parts were included. It could be a little easier to assemble. The grooves aren't the smooth so in some instances you needed to apply a little more force to get the pieces to connect. In my opinion once this is assembled that is it, there is no breaking it apart without damaging it. It's all set in the backyard and now waiting for the plants to grow.

I bought this in spite of the negative reviews. I am glad I did. Sure the rough hewn boards and corners have rough edges, that is not unexpected. This is not fine furniture, it is a garden box. To over come the issue that others posted about when sliding boards into the corners, I used a broad flat head screwdriver to deburr each channel (see Picts). It took maybe 60 seconds per corner piece and made the assembly a piece of cake. The wood smells great, like cedar should and should hold up to the elements.

I would have said 5 stars on the first purchase, but this time around I'll say 3. For $130 they didn't do anything to clear the splinters and other machined tooled debris from all of the corner pieces (all 6). What this means is that I split two corners before I spent another 20mins cleaning each of the other four grooves of each piece. (See picture of piece on left. Piece on right had to be nailed back together after splitting.) That's shoddy woodworking. If you want us to build it then give us a finished product to work with or charge us $50 bucks and leave the labor to us to finish.

These are excellent raised garden beds. This is our 5th one. We extend our garden every year and have loved these beds!

The size was perfect for the space allotted, but you definitely need to wear garden gloves when taking the boards out of the carton and assembling it; otherwise the chance of getting splinters is high. Additionally, there are no instructions - had to Google Greenes and look at the illustrations! Also, there aren't any pre-drilled holes for the screws (I had no idea where these were supposed to go). Be prepared for very rough planks.

Very easy to assemble and I love the way they look in my yard.

We bought it to increase our raised bed footprint. Arrived on time, easy to assemble, used the calculator on the Home Depot site to determine how much dirt we needed. Up and running.

The 3’ boards are 35 inches. When I went to school 3 feet equaled 36”. Also no screws were in the box and the incorrect instruction sheet for the model I purchased was in the box. I called the company and they are shipping the screws to me. Also the wood is rough, not sanded and the knotched ends are splintered. I haven’t put it together yet as I’m waiting for the screws. I put everything back inside the house. I should have had Home Depot make me one.

Excellent raised garden planter. Easy to install. Usually I have to use a sledgehammer to get one or two boards in the slots, but I can't complain about that.

Came quickly, wood was in great shape, easily put together. Now for the gardener to get to work!

While this bed has the premium boards, that just means they are wider and maybe a shade thicker. Their wood is still pretty low quality with hanging chad and some knots. But it should work very well as a garden bed and was easy to assemble.

Just put it together and filled it - so far so good. It looks great too.

So far we were able to put it together and get our garden started. We'll see how it holds up through the season.

Side walls could be thicker.
