These are great deck screws. I've been using them for two years and they hold up well. I live on the Gulf coast so there's no shortage of extreme or severe environments.

Stainless steel Torx Drive, much better than square drive - no round out failures in the drive head. Upper potion of shaft is not threaded and will draw the deck board down against the frame tight. An excellent product. The 2-1/2 inch is excellent for 3/4 plywood to frame and 3-1/2 for 2 by decking far superior than nails eve SS ring nails. I am going back for another box (500) of each.

High quality SS screw with star-shaped drive bit. I put in more than 100 screw for my cedar deck boards. All of them went in like going into butter. Nice and smooth with not a single bad one! Not sure about the bad reviews mentioning broken screw. Maybe they got a bad batch? or they were used for very hard wood? The head is large and it will hold wood nicely. However, some countersunk hole will prevent some small cracking around the head when it was driven totally flush with the board.

I used these screws to install P.T. 2" x 6" lumber on a dock. All structural connections were made with SS lags or galvanized through bolts and then I used these screws to secure the deck boards. These screws were hard enough not to twist into a corkscrew in hard driving applications, but not so hard that they would easily snap off. The torx drive is far superior to the square drive at preventing stripped heads when sinking the screws. All screws were driven with battery powered impact guns with zero failures or problems. Now if you could just make them stick to my fingers a little better so that I wouldn't drop them in the water they would be perfect!!!

Used both 3 in. and 2 1/2 in. Stainless Steel on my under deck ceiling install at the shore. They worked well with ease of installation and no rusting in salt air. Previously I used them also on the composite decking and was very happy with the performance. No screw stripping out the heads.

Worked like a champ. It made it a lot easier to rebuild my 30 year old redwood deck. Bit was included in each package I purchased. I used 25 pounds of these screws and had only 2 screw heads strip out.

    The Best
I purchased two 5lb boxes for a deck. It was 16x20. Almost had enough to complete the job but not quite. Needed a few more, for convenience I went to a store close by and purchased another brand (1lb box, they did not carry this brand.) I had 5 screws either break or strip out of this box. Of The grip-rite PrimeGuard, I installed 10lbs and did not have any issues with any of the screws. That says something about the quality of this product. Highly recommended. Thank you.

Very good and easy wood penetrations. Not a single head strip out. Especially like the lifetime warranty and not having to replace in 3-4 years like non-stainless screws.

Grip-Rite stainless fasteners are vey good quality and are very durable to installation and later removal if needed, without twisting the fastener, or rounding out the head. This recent order of #10x3",is the 3rd large quantity of these screws that I have ordered and used. These are used on a dock, over salt water and original fasteners were galvanized nails, that are long gone, due to corrosion. The second set of fasteners were stainless screws, but with square drive heads, which were very easy to round out the heads...

    Great for redwood decking
These are not cheap, but neither was my redwood deck boards. I pre-drilled holes to prevent the wood from cracking and not a single screw got stripped or failed in any way. Should last forever.

These are good screws. I use them in marine applications as well as anywhere that I don’t want to worry about rust and replacing. These screws are not the strongest. I’ve snapped quite a few of them using a DeWalt 1/4” impact. But that’s stainless steel for ya. Overall, a good screw.

These are decent screws BUT they don't seem to grip as well as a traditional deck screw. Of course, precise cutting can help reduce the load on a screw in terms of the putting the screw in tension. Hardness of Stainless must be less than traditional steel used in deck screws (?) as the head will also strip easier.....at least in my experience. Still, very satisfied with their use in a harsh environment.
