Packaging was beat up pretty bad but there was enough protection that the wood was untouched! Looks great after stain!

Make sure you select your own. I picked mine up at customer service desk after ordering on-line and I think they picked the crappiest one for me. One side was fine, the other side had manufacturing defects and voids in the surface. It worked out for my use but I was a little disappointed.

We used these in our kitchen remodel. First time working with butcher block. Purchased 4’, 6’, and 8’. The pieces were easy to sand but takes the stain really quick so you just move fast in order to avoid streaks. **Please note as I learned...DO NOT cheap out on the blades to cut it.** I needed a new one for my circular saw and went the cheap route. It flexed so much it had started to walk away from me. Luckily it was on the scrap side. If you aren’t careful, it becomes an expensive mistake. So I purchased a good name brand blade and cut through like butter. The under mount sink hole was a little nerve racking due to the complexity of the curves. I must say they came out really nice! Applied one coat of American Oak stain and have applied 2 coats of conditioner after 2 coats of mineral oil.

The wood looks great. Took the stain well. Would get this for other counters.

I bought this butcher block island top to use on my new assembly table/ table saw outfeed table. It is 1.5" think and very flat. It added 110 pounds of heft to make a solid surface to work on in my woodshop. I'm very excited to have such a nice table top and it saved lots of time compared to gluing one up.

Pretty nice, but did contain some flaws. I had one 8 foot, one 6 foot, and 2 four foot countertops to make two L desks. Typically one side would have more flaws than the other, and that one would be thr bottom. A couple of things for newbies to note: these are longer than the header lists by 2 inches. Messed up my floor plan. Also, you find out after opening (vis a paper on the inside of the wrapping) that they start warping after exposure to ambient moisture if you don’t finish them within a couple of days. Did find this to be true, as we didnt have all our project supplies right away. Did turn out great anyway. Note: the 6 and 4 footer are in the photo. The 8 footer is out of frame.

I really wanted to give this 5 stars but one flaw knocks it down to 2 for me. Right on the edge of the counter top is a flaw that was filled in with wood putty. It was unnoticeable until the second I put mineral oil on it, at which point it stood out like a flashing light. By that time it had already been cut to size and put in place. Other than that, it's beautiful.

Beautiful piece of wood that we turned into an amazing desk simply by attaching some iron legs. Looks fantastic!!!

Purchased this to finish a section in my kitchen and knew it would be too hard to match the existing granite. Read about how to seal it and went with mineral oil since I didnt want it to be too orange and may occasionally use for food prep. Measured and cut to size, sanded and oiled. Very happy with the end result.

The butcher block I received is very nice. It was shipped well packaged and there was no damage. All surfaces were sanded ready for finish. Because I used this as a tabletop for a workstation I applied stain and clear coat. There are no separations between glued pieces. I am very satisfied with this product and would purchase again.

I bought this one year ago, stain and put polyurethane. Looks amazing. However by the time it started bowing from the edges.

Good product, should last a long time if finished and maintained properly. Lots of good informational videos available.

Just as expected. We used a food safe polyurethane finish on it. We did have to sand it a couple times for a satin smooth finish we wanted.

A really good choice finished with watco food grade

I updated my bathroom vanity and wanted to 'warm' the space up with wood surfaces, so I purchased this birch butcher block for that purpose. It cuts and sands beautifully and takes finish exceptionally well. I highly recommend it.

OMG, SO EASY TO USE, my kitchen had a super yucky counter. After applying Danish Oil with a roller it is gorgeous. SO I just put it on top of the old yucky counter and it is so much nicer. Love Love t.

I bought 2 of these and one of them had lines that went across when we stained them. The other one was perfect. Not consistent.

Love this Butcher Block Countertop. The guy at Home Depot cut it for me and it is perfect! I love it. I moved the refrigerator and decided to build a cabinet in its place.

These were the best price I could find and they are lovely! I ripped them in to 10 and 12" shelves for my open kitchen shelving. They are amazing!

Took the plastic off to find the “top” covered in quite a bit of excess glue. Went to sand it off so that I could add a stain to the wood, when sanding with the grain led to a large chunk coming out. A short stain and install project turned into a glue removal, planing, epoxy fill project...

Used for our basement bar project. Love it!

I was not happy to learn that the butcher blocks were not 100% solid.

The price can’t be beat and we got the results we were after. I used wood conditioner, 2 coats of a dark walnut stain and 4 coats of a Tung oil/resin top coat.

The countertop arrived on time and was in great shape. I only had to trim a little off from one end, drill a few hole sand stand and seal. Attached the legs and I have a new computer desk.

Arrived in perfect condition. We stained the top and sealed it. This was a perfect piece for my island project.
