Purchased 9 months ago for residential weed spraying. Today, the compressor handle broke while trying to unscrew it to refill the sprayer. The compressor handle is made of semi-thin plastic which can easily binds to the container, preventing easy unscrewing and refilling. This can occur due to normal storage use in places like garages where heat temperatures can exceed temperature norms. Product was used less than a handful of times, and I will repurchase a different brand.

Great addition to my Ryobi collection of electric tools. Lightweight and sprays a very fine mist.

1) Sturdiness of the pump and tank is just fine. 2) Take note of the photos, manufacturing Quality Assurance does not pat attention to their finished product. Inside the tank were very rigid curls of plastic at the bottom of the wand stem entry point from when the machinery drilled out the hole. I had to take a drill bit to drill this out otherwise the wand stem would have never been able to be installed. Photos taken looking into tank from the top opening. 3) The wand and hose is absolutely junk. The wand flexes too much and the hose is so flimsy that it kinks and folds in upon itself. Returned and went back to my old faithful sprayer of 12 years. Nothing is made like it used to be with quality in mind, yet want to charge more for the product.

The pressure valve has two positions: quick release and slow release. There is no way to close the pressure valve. The handle is also garbage. It’s not a full cylinder, it’s a 2/3 cylinder cup open on the top where the user needs to press down. Because of this design, the handle is flimsy, twists when pumping to pressurize the constantly leaking tank, and it cuts into the palm of the user’s hand.

bought one year ago. used it today and the pressure reli t knob just fell off. I now have to use players to pull the pressure relief

Very good pump ive had many different brands of pumps, this only requires a few pumps and you’re ready to go. Have a fantastic spray id buy it again and being its 2 gallon it sure is compact highly recommend the 2 gallon over the one gallon

I bought it in person at a local store, but had to go back to the store to get the main gasket replaced. The main blue gasket wasn't properly made, leading to it leaking. See attached photo. Customer support was good. Why don't they make these things WITHOUT the stupid hand pump? Don't people have battery-powered inflators? I of course added a Schrader valve to mine. I would think they can make it cheaper (and/or with better quality for the same price) if they skipped the hand pump.

Great little sprayer. In the long-run it saves money by buying the "refill" or by mixing a concentrate rather than buying the "premixed combination of sprayer and solution". I liked the ability to attach the sprayer hose to the side of the tank (via the handle) or to the top of the handle. In addition, there is a separate "pressure relief" valve allowing you to release the internal pressure without having to unscrew the entire handle, preventing the pressurized solution to spray into your face. On a precautionary note; do not make the mistake I did by filling the tank beyond the "maximum fill line". When you insert the plunger back into the tank the solution that is beyond the "maximum fill line" will prevent the "pressure relief" valve from operate properly, (i.e. releasing liquid out instead of air). The "maximum fill line" on the tank is hard to read (& see) as it is not highlighted or clearly marked on the tank but is the same color as the encasing material. I took a Sharpie Marker to highlight the "maximum fill line" for future reference.

Worked as expected. Easy assembly. Hose connected really easy and spray was evenly distributed.

I mixed water and vinegar. First use was great. I went to use it a week later and the seal on the bottom of the pumping mechanism was distorted and does not seal making the sprayer useless.

Right out of the box there was a weak spot, a bad kink in the hose right at the top, just before it attaches to the nozzle. The zip tie holding it together for packaging was there. I can pinch it back but it flattens right back. I don’t want to keep it like this.

Works fine for the first 2 usages and then the lid plastics will break on you.

This broke my first use. Thought I was going to break it to get it to seal. Then pump pump boom.

Leaked like a siv, i even tried using pipe thread tape & it still leaked bad through screw on threads. Got pesticide everywhere. Total junk. Buy another brand that has some type of rubber gasket at top to seal it properly.

I bought it last month. I used it once to spray the garage. I decided to spray again and cap snapped. I’m truly disappointed. I hope I can have it replaced.

I love this thing. Easily one of my favorite tools as a house cleaner who gets the honors of doing the restrooms ☠️ This allows for 100% application of my choice cleaner for any given task, and with toilets and the endless crevices, that is a critical task when disinfecting easily the dirtiest thing in our homes 💩💩💩 My only critique is for a better quality components aside from the tank itself, as the plastic bends easy and has broken in the past, but at it's price point this is to be expected and I have noticed better quality plastic with my most recent purchase; no star deduction because HD always replaces within the specified time period and again, it's the least expensive option for it's size.Note: Make sure to frequently clear the nozzle and hose with hot water to prevent buildup of cleaner product in the hose and/or nozzle, also don't let solutions sit for longer than 48 hours as this can cause gas buildup that could end badly ☠️☠️☠️🙏🏼🤞🏼

I had a larger 2 gallon sprayer and the adjustable nozzle had broke, so I went to get a replacement which was going to cost me a couple dollars less than if I bought this HDX 1 gallon sprayer. I bought this instead. This sprayer takes up less space and is more than I need for use in my small backyard. I am using it to spray liquid Sevin on my pepper plants to get rid of those pesky white flies. It works great and easy to pump, you get a very long spray with only a couple pumps. So it has three positives going for it, size, ease of use and definitely the cost. I made a great choice.

Very easy to use and put together

Bought this the other day to apply insecticides. Does not meet expectations for insecticide sprayer, will be returning it to the store. I like home depot products overall, this one is not for me. The plastic Wand Handle leaks. I tighten the joints and in 15 minutes there are leaks again. When spraying insecticides or herbicides the product and person should not come in contact with one-another. Also, the neck flare is relatively small, still need to use funnel to safely add product to canister.

Brand new out of the box there was a pinhole leak in the hard plastic handle that shot a high pressure stream into my eye - a very strong bleach mixture. Luckily it wasn't poison or something worse or I'd probably be blind. This is one of the worst safety failures I've ever experienced in a product.

The sprayer works well, easy to fill and pump, locking feature on spray button is useful. Pressure relief valve works when done, but it's fragile. The knob on the valve holds on to a notch on the end of the stem, which makes the end of the stem fragile, and mine broke off. It's not difficult to unscrew the black body of the valve from the canister to release the pressure, but it's a bit obnoxious. The valve should be offered as a replaceable item, as it is simple to replace, but fragile.

I bought a 2 gallon and a 1 gallon sprayer. I used the 2 gallon last night. I do love the pressure release valve. The nozzle is not adjustable as advertised. I got a straight stream no matter how far I twisted the nozzle. When I pumped, some liquid gathered around the area where the pump is screwed into the container. I will be getting a couple more of the type of sprayers i already have (of other brands) because this does not meet my needs.

I use a lot of sprayers in three sizes. I bought this as my next "stand by" 1 gallon sprayer and in 2-3 months it was called to action. On the first use I pump it up, went to spray, and... nothing. Open the yellow valve to release pressure and ... nothing. Pumped up again, listened at the valve an heard air escaping while the valve was in the closed position. I now read other reviews with the same experience. HD needs to know this new style valve is not reliable.

I use it for spraying treatments around the outside area of the home and it does great for small projects. The pump latch moves a little too much but just remember to get locked in place tight. The pressure release works great and it cleans up easily. Would definitely recommend.

my wife brought me one of this pump sprayer that I needed for some ant problem I had and honestly is very good and the price of this even more. got it assemble like in 2 minutes. for the past week I have use this and no leak problem or any other issues. make sure to install it correctly to avoid leak problem.

Sprayer works great but the pump handle digs into my skin. Fix #1: keep sprayer handle in top when spraying. Fix #2: Use a short piece of 3/4 PVC pipe in pump handle. Fix #3: (My Favorite) drill hole near top and add in a tire valve-No Pumping!

using to mist houseplant foliage. the fine mist that this nozzle generates is much better than other commonly available plant misters that i have used. ive seen these for sale online for double or triple what i paid for this at the home depot.

the yellow pressure release valve broke on me the first time I tried to release pressure and now is inoperable and won't release pressure.
