Works if your pool child sized
Not wide enough to do any good. A wider version was not available at least when we needed it. Should have ordered one.

Quality seemed fine, but did not remove algae. My plastic brush ended up working but I had to spray spots with chlorine to get it to work. Also, a little too small for the job I had.

Hi, This algae brush with stainless steel bristles is particularly good to remove the heads of crusty black algae spots on hard plaster pools. (Black algae doesn't respond well to a softer brush.)
Other types and colors of algae typically begin to disperse with use of extra brushing (soft nylon bristle brush is best), application of algaecide treatments, extra sanitizer (such as Chlorine shock) as well as running the filter system longer each day!

This stainless steel algae brush is especially made (for gunite pools) to scrub the tough heads off of black algae in particular so the water can be treated and the algae removed.

I needed the wire brush to get algae out of...
I needed the wire brush to get algae out of the area where the top of the steps meets the back of the steps. The plastic that the wire brush is attached to keeps the brush from getting in the edges. I'll have to buy a regular hand held brush to do it. If you're using it for flat areas not near an edge it will likely work well.

Hi, Sorry to hear the straight shape of the brush didn't cover all areas needed.
Perhaps a Corner Brush (Poolmaster # 20200) might be of help here.
The corner brush is not stainless steel, but the bristles are stiff and may work well in this case.

Needed to remove algae stains from in ground pool. Could not find a pumice stone to fit pool pole. Decided to try this stainless steel brush. Bristles are not to hard to damage plaster. Hard enough to remove the algae. Summary it works better than expected. Fits my pole. Buy it!
