Of course, it could be the cursed Samsung fridge, but this water filter froze and cracked.

Always used samsung filters with no problem but I picked these up one day when the samsung brand one was unavailable, huge mistake. Without warning I had a waterfall pouring out of my refrigerator drawer and into 4 rooms of my house. Currently have a water mitigation company drying out my walls.

I don’t understand why the OEM filters cost so much. The replacement filters fit perfectly and I have been using them for years. My current fridge is 4 years old and I have not used the Samsung brand yet. These replacement filters from Home Depot are perfect and last just as long as the factory brands. They are super easy to install as well! I plan on keeping a backup on hand.

HDX Filter for our Samsung refrigerator fits well into the socket and otherwise the same as the OEM filter . The FMS-2 only differs with a removable spare ring on the exposed end in the refrigerator . It carries the same spec as the OEM with the same approvals NSF and UPC according to the package , 6 Month 300 Gallon effective . According to the package it is made in the USA. Install is simple insert and twist. Be sure to flush it out The say 3 gallons. We can’t tell the difference in taste from the OEM all is good. Be sure to affix the replacement sticker to remind you to replace if your refrigerator does’t have a reminder light .

I have been having trouble finding filters for my refrigerator and was thrilled to have this HDX option. The filter fits with no issue and we haven't noticed any problems with leaking or taste with this new filter. It's nice to be able to run down the street to HD and grab one and save a few bucks in the process. We are very happy with this product and will be our go to in the future.

I ordered this HDX FMS-2 Premium Refrigerator Water Filter because we have two Samsung refrigerators: one in our home and another in a rental property, both of which use the same Samsung HAF-CINS water filter. Side by side, the HDX and Samsung filters look a lot alike and they both fit the same Samsung refrigerators. However, the HDX filter at $29.95 is about $2.50 more than I have paid for genuine Samsung filters. As shown in the side-by-side photo, the HDX filter has only a single O-ring seal compared to the Samsung's double O-rings, which could lead to leaks inside the refrigerator. The HDX filter may do the same job of filtering the water as the Samsung filter, but why pay more for a knock-off than it costs for the original manufactured product?

I installed the HDX FMS-2 - HAF-CINS Samsung Refrigerator Water Filter This HDX replacement refrigerator water filter uses compressed carbon block which provides the ability to remove and/or reduce impurities and sediment that may be present in your drinking water. The packaging says that the carbon block has millions of active sites on its surface and within the structure which can absorb impurities like a sponge, and can absorb and hold other types of impurities on its surface like a magnet. Additionally, this filter can catalytically breakdown other impurities very similar to the way a catalytic converter works in your automobile. Filter provides fresh and clean tasting water and ice cubes. See pictures and the video to remove old filter & install this new filter. Also, I didn't mention that after installing remember to throw out about 5 tall glasses of water right away.

Economical filter replacement for Samsung water and ice maker dispenser refrigerators. My refrigerator is the newest model just purchased this January 2022. The new style cartridge is square and shorter likely the reason for the slight difference in part number, indicated by the additional "S" on the end of the OEM. I hope HDX comes out with the newer style to fit exactly in my fridge. The only noticeable difference is the HDX is slim and linger with only one (1) O-ring to seal the connection. It does fit and he door to the fridge does close. So far no leaks. But I must assume the second O-ring seals better and is more secure. Other than that the HDX cartrig=dge performs well. Be sure to run a few gallons of water throughte systems to clear out the fine particles inherent to all water cartridges. Feel good your family is safe from harmful impurities in your drinking water. Get the sparkling clear ice cubes you'll want on your favorite drinks.

When you have a water/ ice feature in the fridge, that filter needs to be changed routinely. This HDX filter was a good choice for my Samsung refrigerator as it does what other higher price filters do. The filter removes about ninety nine percent of contaminants from the water including lead, chlorine, fluoride, iron, rust and many more but does not remove minerals good for our health. It absorbs impurities and holds other types of impurities on its surface like a magnet. Additionally, this filter can catalytically breakdown other impurities. Micron coconut shell carbon block does the filtering inside the filter. Changing the filter was easy because the filter is right up front, easy to access. First turn off water under the sink, remove old filter and push in and twist new filter to lock in. This fridge has an icemaker but not a water feature, so the icemaker must fill up the bucket and discard the ice to clear out the filter before using ice. The first drop of cubes has some dark cubes shown in one of the pics, but now, even though they look clear, I'll wait for more drops. It would be easier to just run water if that was possible. The filter has a three hundred gallon filtering capacity, or about six months.

i ordered this HDX water filter for use in my refrigerator because of its affordable price compared to the Samsung brand filter. this is a high quality filter that is NSF certified to reduce over 70 contaminants that may be in your water, is good for filtering 300 gallons of water or 6 months of use and it is made in the USA. installation is easy and no tools are required, just insert into filter holder, twist clockwise 1/4 turn and lock into place with arrows on filter and refrigerator aligned. i am very satisfied with this product and i can't see any difference between it and the name brand other than the price.

I just replaced my Samsung water is water filter. It was very easy to do less than one minute to replace my water filter. My water pressure has increased East and the water taste better. I shut the water supply vow off open my refrigerator door. Found the filter gave it a torque quarter turn pulled it out pushed a new one in quarter term turn and back on. And it's that easy. Be sure to find your model number to order the correct water filter. A very small investment for great taste in clean water.

I got this filter to replace the name brand filter I had been using. The HDX brand has never let me down so I thought I’d give it a try. I’m so glad that I did! It was incredibly easy to install, just a quick twist in with minimal pressure. The instructions instructed to run 3 gallons of water through before drinking, which I did. I recommend using a large pitcher. The water tastes great and I couldn’t be happier! I’ll definitely be buying this HDX filter again when it’s time to change it.

The filter replacement reminder light came on to the Samsung refrigerator so I knew it was time to replace the filter. This HDX FMS-2 was exactly what I needed. It appears to be completely identical to the original Samsung filter that I removed. Replacement is as easy as twisting and removing and then reinstalling. All that's left is to reset the filter reminder and enjoy the clean, filtered water

Refrigerator water filters are ridiculously priced. Especially as they are designed to be replaced every six months. One can spend more than $100/year on water filters easily. Luckily HD offers these HDX replacements that are identical in every way to the OEMs at half the price. The fit, finish and longevity is the same as OEM. The HDX filers have both an NSF 42 and 53 certification. I've used them whenever they were available and have NEVER had an issue with them.

I haven't noticed any difference with the fit or size. The filtered water taste is the same as with OEM. The biggest problem I've had in the past is ordering correct after market filters as opposed to the original manufacturers. I've included pictures of the new HDX with a measurement tape in case you need to be certain. However as long as it states HALF-CINS I believe it should replace any other filter that states HALF-CIN. My original has HALF-CIN/XME but the XME is not present on this XME.

A filter is a filter I guess, the one seems to be equal to the OEM. Once very big improvement on this is the ability to grasp and then twist to lock or unlock, easier than with OEM or any other filter! Seriously it is a big thing. Every 6 months I wrestled with other filters and am so glad this has this feature! As for taste, same as OEM. No reason to spend extra money for what does the same job!

I have found few differences between the HDX filter for my Samsung Flex refrigerator and the OEM filter which is almost twice as expensive. And those few differences are minor. It does seem that the HDX filter is a tiny bit harder to push into the compartment but it's truly minimal. I find that instead of a full 1/4 turn to remove the old filter and install the new HDX filter, I have to turn both filters a bit more than 1/4 of a turn, but maybe that's just my fridge. Something very important to note is to make sure you remove the plastic cap on the filter before inserting into the fridge filter compartment, otherwise the plastic cap gets stuck and is not easy to get back out! The water flow with the HDX filter is very good, in fact I'd say slightly better than the OEM filter, and the HDX filter delivers very good tasting water just like it's more expensive counterpart. Although my fridge tells me when to change the filter, the HDX comes with a nifty little sticker with a list of months of the year and little circles, and you can put this sticker inside the fridge to remind you when to change the filter. I've purchased this HDX filter several times now and there is absolutely no reason to spend more money on the OEM filter. This HDX filter does the job just as well.

The HDX refrigerator water filter works great in my Samsung 4 door refrigerator. I had replaced the filter the first time with a OEM filter, but because of the cost, I decided to try the HDX filter to save some money. It only takes a couple seconds to swap out the filter, then I run about 2 gallons of water through the water spout on the door to get all trapped air out and to flush the new filter. The water taste good and I am very pleased with this product. It comes with two O-Rings at the install end and they do a great job of sealing off the water from leaking.I have used this brand of filter for two years now and will continue using it in the years to come.

I have been using the genuine Samsung filters for years and it has been working normally. I am no filters connoisseur but I just know that everytime I put a Samsung filter in it worked like it supposed to. Whenever the light comes on and bothers me enough I change the filter. Like most people we searched the deals online and read reviews of how well these "off-brand" filters work. The reviews are relatively good. So I decided to give it a try. Like the Samsung filter these filters look pretty much the same. My feeling is filters are filters. Who cares. It doesn't hurt to try. They are relatively cheaper. Until yesterday when I came home. My whole kitchen floor was flooded and when I opened the refrigerator's door, it was like Niagara Falls. Not sure if this was an anomaly or not. But out of 10 times that I used Samsung filters this never happened and as soon as I used this particular filter, it broke. It was absolutely a nightmare.

We have had our Samsung fridge for 1,5 years. Have changed 2 filters and all Samsung. Decided to purchase the HomeDepot 2 pack because it says it filter PFOAs and it was such a good value. It did not affect the water flow like some reviews suggested but the water tastes bad.. we’ve had it in for about 2 weeks and the water tastes and smells like chlorine. So bad, that I might have to purchase a Samsung filter and throw these away... I wish HomeDepot had a filter recycling program

Easy. Turn off water flow. Remove old filter. Insert new filter. Turn on water flow. Run water thru to clear any charcoal fragments. Done. I have Samsung RF25HMEDBWW model.

This HDX FMS-2 product is a perfect fit for Samsung Fridge. No leakage;

This fits our Samsung RF28K9380SR (4-door flex) even though the package does not specifically state that it does. The only difference is that this has 1 black rubber o-ring and the Samsung branded filter has 2 o-rings. It's the same length and doesn't 'wobble' when installed. The door to access the filter also closes all the way. Exact fit. No issues for use in RF28K9380SR

This filter works great with my Samsung refrigerator. You get 2 for the price of one using this brand instead of the Samsung brand and we've used these filters from the beginning. We've had our refrigerator for 2 years.

This HDX Replacement filter fits my Samsung Refrigerator perfectly. I have owned the refrigerator for over a year now and this is the second filter I've had to replace. It's recommended to change the filter at about 300 gallons or 6 months. I have a nice filter light that lets me know when to replace the filter. The first one I bought was an original Samsung for a lot more money. Taking a chance on the HDX brand filter from Home Depot has not let me down. Twisted out the old cartridge, and put the new one in. No tools were needed and No leaks. Fit just like the original. Ran through about 3 gallons (used for plants) and we were set to go. Couldn't have been easier. Give it a try. A+

I bought a Samsung fridge from Home Depot. This was nice to see Home Depot sells their own brand of filter for my fridge. It costs a whole lot more to buy the name brand product. I have found this HDX filter to be an exact replacement for my fridge. It works just perfectly, it fits just as it is suppose to. No leaking and good water flow. I have seen other replica filters not work so well and cut down on the water flow. My fridge is thee 4 door Samsung.

This is a really economical way to go as far as replacing filters for my Samsung refrigerator. Came well packaged and was easy enough to replace. Installation was a breeze, simply unscrew the old one and pop in the new one with a simple twist. Afterwards, flushed about 3 gallons worth of water through the system as recommended and voila, great tasting and clear water! Also came with a sticker letting me know I should replace it after 6mo (my fridge has a reminder setting on the home screen for that too) but still nice to have. Thinking this will be my go to going forward for replacement filters, keeping it cheap and good quality - highly recommend!

If in fact this is the correct size I am happy that My Home Depot carries the filter for my Samsung Family Hub French Door Refrigerator I checked through my owners manual with no specifications of the size filter needed, I called Samsung's number for parts and they did not have the information. I was happy to find the filter that states fits all Samsung Refrigerators at My Local Home Depot HDX for Samsung removes chlorine, bad taste and odor's. HDX Performs comparably to OEM filters Purchasing my Samsung filter is more convenient than I expected, thank you HD!
