Great mixer. I got as a Christmas gift. Works well so far. Love the ease of storing the beaters and cord.

Blender is OK. It does what a basic 5 speed hand blender should do. If you have it shipped to your house be warned. It gets shipped directly from a Hamilton Beach warehouse. They just slap a shipping label on the flimsy retail box. When you get it, the box will look like it was kicked to your house. Wouldn't advise if ordering for gift or would like to reuse the box to store when not in use.

The Hamilton Beach Professional 5-speed hand mixer runs slow enough at the first speed setting to mix an angel food cake mix without slinging the flour all over the kitchen. I'm not sure about the power needed for other mixes, but the main reason I bought this one was for the slow speed, AND IT WORKS! The Snap-On storage case is an added benefit. I bought this for a Christmas present for my wife, and she loves it.

The blender starts a little slower then revs up to full speed which prevents splatters. Pretty slick.

I LOVE my Hamilton Beach mixer. It arrived speedily...my old one had a damaged cord and I couldn't use it. It works very well and I really like the snap on storage case..so nice not to worry about a loose cord getting tangled on the shelf that I store it on.

The power of this hand held mixer is good however I gave it an average rating because the wire whisk will at times fall out when I’m beating something very strong and I don’t like the fact that they have to be the exact whisk for the left or the right hole. Didn’t have a problem with the Hamilton standard non professional hand mixer.

Used on two packages of cookie dough. Started slow and increased speed. The motor smells hot, as though it’s burning up. I believe it’s going back.

This is the best mixer I have ever had. I bake quite often and it is easier to get out than my old stand mixer. I've no problems so far with it, I find the beaters eject without struggle. I would recommend this hand mixer for anyone who has any kitchen experience.

Quietest mixer I have ever owned. Would buy again.

This hand mixer was too heavy for my hand and too bulky for the beaters and cord to fit into thesnap-on storage case so I had to return it. I'm sure it would be just fine for a younger, stronger person.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my video I am making banana bread and blending the bananas. When the beaters hit the side or bottom of bowl they just keep going quietly. The old ones banged noisily. I love the way the mixer & attachments store compactly all together. I didn't have a problem with cookie dough. The slow start does prevent splatter! If I had a Hamilton Beach microwave, my kitchen would be all Hamilton Beach now!

I worked great with power to spare. I love the storage stand that came with the mixer, well thought out no more searching for the beaters.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested this mixer on 2 different types of food. The first was slow cooked chicken. Definitely couldn't shred all 6 breasts in one shot. Had to do it in smaller batches but got the job done. Today I tried it on a double batch of sugar cookie dough... Creamed the wet stuff like a champ but I definitely was rough mixing the dry ingredients in. I could hear the strain on the motor at the lower to mid speeds. I tried turning up the speed to 4 or 5 and then the mixer got hard to control. The handle is not easy on hands that have arthritis and that's definitely a design flaw I'd change. I'm going to be making chocolate chip cookies later and probably won't do a double batch now which I frequently do just because this mixer definitely can't handle the thickness of it.
