Easy install and looks nice!

Although I wouldn’t particularly call this a fancy flush mount light, since this was replacing a white globe flush mount in the laundry room that had fallen and broken, I didn’t need a high-end shade. For the price though (around 10 bucks), this does look nice with its painted metal rubbed bronze look and is a better look than the plain white globe that was there. Installation is fairly simple, although the instructions could be a little clearer in some aspects. This includes all the mounting hardware, but does not include the 2 light bulbs. For a basic light in an area that you don’t need anything fancy, this looks as nice as any, especially considering the price. 4 stars

Sometimes seeing an item on display at the store doesn't quite do it justice - and, this would be one of those items. We needed an additional light in the hallway, but nothing too over-the-top, nor too plain. When I first saw this Hampton Bay flush mount light, I wasn't completely sold on the frosted swirl glass shade, but loved the oil-rubbed bronze finish and affordable price. Now that we've installed this light at our house, I really love it - and, the frosted swirl shade actually gives it 'a little something' extra.

It looks nice for the price but was extremely hard to mount. The way they had you do it made no sense and it was very difficult

Very economical and attractive DIY replacement light. The quality is excellent in this price range with nice ceramic light sockets, thick fiberglass insulation, metal base with a nice finish and attractive heavy duty swirl glass shade. The installation screws are a little short and would be better if they were about 1/2" longer. I installed mine with two 500K 60 watt equivalent LED bulbs that use only 8 watts each. I furnished a few photos for the interested prospective buyer.

Great light upgrade for a rental unit. I️ brought three entry hall, dining area & hall.

One out of five fixtures did not work. Installation was difficult because screws fit so loosely that they kept turning to the side when attempting to attach the bases. I have installed many light fixtures and these were the most challenging. The price was under $10.00. They were cheap as opposed to being inexpensive. You get what you pay for! Now that they are installed they look good. I am happy with the look but would not purchase it again.

Nice clean look and coordinates with any decor

Easy to put up. Took about 15 minutes for someone who never put up lights before. Looks very nice.

Could have used a longer mounting bracket for electric boxes not flush with the drywall. Other than that light installed fine thanks.

Nice looking light fixture, fits two cree LED bulbs, BUT installation is a bit...of an unreasonably difficult task. The biggest problem by far is the ground wire is too short. It should be at least half again as long or preferably twice as long. Because it is so short, under a foot, when you have it wrapped around the ground screw, the base obstructs most of the possible angles of attack to work on the other wires or get to the bolts. I had to flip the mounting bracket around so the bend was facing toward the floor to make this work. Also the holes in the base through which the longer screws protrude should be larger at the wide ends, so you can see the screws through them. Anyway for a complete novice at installing home electronics, myself, it took about 1.5 hours to remove the old fixture and install the new one. I had extra trouble because the inside of the ceiling socket was absolutely covered with ceiling paint. Our house was built in the late 80's, and I swear the builders and electricians were drunk the whole time.

At just $10 per fixture we were concerned the quality was going to be poor (maybe plastic instead of metal). Instead, we were PLEASANTLY surprised to find the fixtures are of high quality and they look beautiful!!

My husband installed this light fixture as a final finishing touch in our newly updated kitchen as we get ready to sell. For the price and look, this light could really pass as a higher end light and with the right light bulb, can really light up the room! The frosted glass is just enough to mildly dim an LED bulb, which is what we used, but still manages to let beyond sufficient light shine through. The oil rubbed bronze really gives the light a fancy touch and looks very classy. We ordered a medallion (16in outer diameter w/ 4in inner diameter) to make it look even fancier! Great buy!

The flushmount light is quite nice for the price. It is decorative and looks worth more than it costs. The instructions are minimal and could use some more detailed steps. Even so, it took about 15 minutes to install. It uses two medium sockets for the light bulbs which allows for a wide variety of bulb choices.

Just bought a house built in 1963. This is a perfect choice for replacing old ceiling lights. It comes in different sizes for different room sizes. It has all parts needed for installation.
