It was better than what I thought it was going to be for the price. Great value for the money. Easy to assemble and to hang. Took less than an hour to assemble and to hang. I love it.

I ordered this pendant light to hang above a circular kitchen table in an apartment I'll be renovating soon. The quality is better than I expected at this price point. Yes, it's made in China but it's really well made. The instruction manual is well illustrated and clearly written. Assembly is quite simple, just a matter of screwing together a few parts. The most difficult part was getting the thing out of the box and Styrofoam packing. They packed it as if it was a $1000 chandelier. The light takes four candelabra based bulbs, maximum 60 watts, which are not included. It ships with 6 feet of chain that can be shortened to your desired length by prying open a link and removing what you don't need. Surprisingly they don't include any master links which would have made the chain connections much easier. (4 stars instead of 5) Just be sure to pad the link before prying it open or you'll mar the finish. I've found the easiest way to do this is with a little electrical tape and two pair of pliers. The clear lamp cord is not color coded but it does have a ribbed and a non-ribbed side. As always, the non-ribbed side gets connected to the house hot wire which should be black or it could be white with some black electrical tape around it to identify it as a hot wire leaving a switch. Either way it's best to test it with a voltage meter to be sure. I made a temporary hookup and tested the light with 40 watts bulbs I had on hand. I love the way the cut glass panels defuse the light. The manufacturer includes a 5 year warranty to the original purchaser. This light is so well made I can't imagine ever needing service but it's available and backed by The Home Depot.

Although I can't speak to it's durability yet, I love the look of this new light in our foyer. It's simple and clean looking and exactly what I wanted. The first day it was up I kept passing by to look at it.

Very attractive light with an easy install. You will need bulbs but this allowed me to buy led bulbs without having to worry about storing, giving away, or discarding the ones that would have come with it.

Beautiful light.

The color of this light is exactly as it is pictured ONLINE! I couldn’t be more pleased! The picture of the product on the box is more of a brown tone. Don’t be alarmed if you order on line and then pick it up and notice the color difference!

OMG I LOVE this light fixture!!! It’s the first thing I bought for my new house to replace an old brass one that came with. It’s the perfect in between of industrial and farmhouse! Will look great in my dining area once it’s installed! Shipping was faster than I expected, overall great experience!

Strange instructions but it turned out beautiful and matched my new ceiling fans. It was easy and I'm a woman to install on a vaulted ceiling. Would by it again, I like Hampton Bay Products.
