These fans are SO nice looking...however one was out of balance. We tried weighting the blades, tried taking it completely down and reinstalling, tightened/loosened all the screws, all to no avail. Soooo disappointed. Can't tell you how badly we do not want to take these two fans down and return, but whats the point if you can't turn them up? Not sure if it's just a fluke or not...the other fan has works great. But 50% rate of success isn't too great. And Home Depot doesn't have these fans available to order any longer...great. :-(

Love the color and light attached goes great with farmhouse decor.

This fan is a perfect addition to our new greenhouse. Being an indoor/outdoor fan allows us to use it in the greenhouse without worrying about moisture issues. We really like the industrial look and the remote control. Installation, however, was a challenge. Everything went well until we got to steps 6 and 7 about tucking the wires into the existing electrical outlet box. We wired and rewired the fan three times and the wires still would not fit into the existing outlet box as instructed in the installation manual. The problem is due to the remote receiver. The remote receiver takes up all the room in the space between the electrical box and the canopy at the top of the fan. For the wires to fit as instructed, the remote receiver needs to be a lot smaller or mounted outside the fan canopy. As a final note, we were able to finally get all the wires tucked into the electrical box and canopy. Not real pretty but it worked. Everything else in the installation went great and we love the fan ! See picture below.

The Fan looks great!!! So I bought two for my rustic front porch. I ran the electrical and I assembled both to my porch ceiling and I’m no pro. I only have two issues with the fan and that is the blades are plastic I was hoping they were metal considering the price and the other is the light on at night will randomly blink on and off for about 10 seconds but will stop and I have changed the frequency code inside both boxes and it still does it. Other than that they do the job!

Love this rustc looking ceiling fan. It pulled together the look i was striving for. Not too bright on its own, but there is enough natural light in the small cabin that i installed it in The remote is definitely a plus

We hired a professional electrician to assemble and install and he did so relatively quickly. The fan is absolutely beautiful!!! Matches perfectly with our nautical themed bedroom. I absolutely love the remote control...makes it extremely easy to turn the lights/faon or off as well as adjust speed

These fans were in our patio when we moved in....when they stopped working we were happy to find the exact replacement! We liked the design and sturdiness of the fans.

Instructions are not good at all. Fan quality and looks are just awesome. Moves air very well even on medium speed! Well spent purchase to replace an 18 year old Hampton Fan.

The fan was easy to assemble and install. Please note: the fan's variable speed is only operable via remote control. The remote control receiver must be located in the electrical box in the ceiling and you will need a least a 2 in., box. My ceiling fan box was a 1/2 in., pan box and I had to install without the remote receiver; or take on a much larger than intended project to retrofit a deeper electrical box to accommodate the remote receiver. Check the depth of your existing electrical box if you intend to used the remote control feature.

Very nice fan. easy to install and looks great. The light fixture could have a better seal. Had bugs inside the light in a short period.

We purchased this fan for our outdoor, screen enclosed porch which is size of 13' x 17'. The previous fan wasn't adequate. My husband installed it by himself and without any difficulty. It comes with either a short or long extension rod. Taking the recommendation of a previous rater, we purchased an Edison light (60w LED), which is much more appealing for the fixture than the light provided. The light button on the remote does not dim the light, so if you want more ambiance and a softer light, I would recommend a 40w bulb.

I purchased two of these fans two years ago. I had them installed under a tin roof portico. Our friend who is a general contractor liked them so much he bought two for his porch. I get many compliments from friends and family. I love them and would definitely buy them again.

It is just what I wanted for the space. Big and looks perfect with a tin roof. Installation was easy. We like having the remote as well.

The only thing I did not like about the fan is that is installed on a angle and the white transmitter box show's at the top .i have purchased other fans of better guality and the unit is wired without the transmitter so the install just looks like a better fit and for this price point can't complai.

I like the fan overall. Great look and seems solid so far. Installation was a bit rough though. It seemed like there were lots of little pieces and the illustrations in the instructions were lacking a little. I also had issues trying to cram the radio receiver + electrical wires into the area that meets the ceiling. That receiver is pretty large and should probably be integrated with the fan or reduced in size.

I recently purchased the Hampton Bay rustic copper ceiling fan about a month ago. This fan has an amazing rustic industrial appearance that I was looking for and was easy to assemble. I am amazed at the amount of light emitted from just one bulb. The fan motor is quiet on all 3 speeds and produces plenty of breeze. The fan is very affordable and I highly recommend this product.

The fan looks great and the bulb put out more light that I expected from the reviews....so far so good after 4 weeks.

Purchased this fan for the living room in our mountain home. Since we have vaulted ceilings and were installing it at 11' high, we had to purchase a 24" extension rod. This is where one of the challenges came in to play. The color of the fan is a cool vintage-looking copper, but good luck finding a matching extension rod with that color. So I purchased the Bronze colored extension and bought a can of Rustoleum Spray Paint in Copper color with the hammered finish and it almost matched perfectly. The extra work was worth it, imho. The other issue that we had was installing it in an 11' high vaulted ceiling. The fan can be mounted on an angle and the mounting of the unit went better than expected. Especially when it came to the remote receiver in the housing -- I was unnecessarily concerned with it's installation, due to past experience with remote fans, but it went in fairly easy. However, when we had to attach and screw in the blades, it was a different story. They were a bit of a challenge to align to the pre-drilled holes and screw them in place. I'm sure that the majority of our difficulty, though, was due to the height of the fan. One other adjustment we made -- we switched the included bulb for an Edison Bulb and it looks great. Overall, wifey and I are very pleased with the fan, it's great look and smooth operation.

Great price for a large size outdoors quality fan. Will get the breeze going and bugs out this summer. Remote makes it easy you use.

After searching countless websites and finding choices that were too expensive, I finally walked in my local Home Depot and there they were! Perfect for our Farmhouse build. We have 4 total on the porches, they go great with our metal roof. The remote control is an added bonus! Highly recommend!

Fans installed without issue and look great on my back porch. I changed out the bulbs for Vintage LED bulbs from HD and they look much better than the ones the fans came with. The reason I only gave the fans 4 stars is that when the temp is down around 30 degrees the remotes no longer work. When the temp goes back up to 50 they work again. I tried new batteries and the fans are set to different frequencies. The remotes are kept inside so it is only the receiver out in the cold. Don't need the fans much in that weather but it would be nice if the lights worked. Anyone else experience this?

Very nice fan, relatively easy to install, hardest part was blindly attaching the fan blades, as you can't see where the holes are in the housing...luckily we put a tarp down below the fan as we dropped several screws and they otherwise would have fallen thru our decking...very quiet, very nicely constructed...love it...

This fan is going in my covered patio but it's just too cold and windy out to consider doing the wiring and installation now. The fan motor is of the standard three speed variety and is controllable with the included multi-function remote. The handheld remote control require a 12 volt battery, included, and offers 3 speeds with independent light and speed controls. If you already have a fan box in the rafters Installation requires only a pair of wire strippers and a couple of screwdrivers. This is the first fan I've worked with that allows for dual mounting possibilities. If installed with the included 4 in. downrod the distance from the ceiling to the bottom of the blades is 12 ins. If mounted as a "ceiling hugger", on horizontal ceilings only, the drop is reduced to 9 ins. The 4 in. downrod is perfect for an 8 foot ceilings and longer downrods are available for higher or cathedral ceilings. My porch roof has open rafters so mounting a round ceiling fan box will be easy. The roof is slanted so I'll have to use the downrod installation method. The mounting bracket (A) has a key tab that fits into a slot in the downrod ball (E) so, in my case, the ceiling fan box must be properly oriented to allow the fan to hang at the needed angle. The unit itself is very impressive. The galvanized motor assembly is substantial, the other components are made of heavy gauge galvanized steel. The blades are painted silver. The manual says they're made of wood but they feel more like a polymer composite. All the metal parts have a protective coating against the weather. Also, the forward / reverse switch on top of the motor wears a protective rubber boot. The package includes a 14 watt compact fluorescent bulb which I'll replace with an LED bulb which I think will last longer. This is definitely the fan to choose for anyone that likes the industrial look. I found this model available from a few other resellers but Home Depot has the best price by far. I didn't wire it up to check the motor but with its lifetime warranty I'm not worried. Minka-Aire, the importer, has a lot of confidence in this fan to be willing to offer this warranty. The manufacturer warranty's the motor for lifetime and the remainder of parts, excluding any glass or acrylic blades, to be free from defects in workmanship and material at the time of shipment from the factory for a period of two years after the date of purchase by the original purchaser.
