Bought it, took it home, went to attach the lid, and one of the attaching pieces snapped right off. So it may be a good garbage can if you can get the lid on without it breaking, but you couldn't prove it by me. I returned it half an hour after I bought it. Also, I don't see how the step-on thing would work if you had a bag in there, since the little lid-raiser part would tear right through the bag. But I never got to find that out, since it broke.

The trash can works as advertised. It is simple and easy to load and remove bags. Very simple. Bags stay in place. I put the lid on in the store to make sure it fit properly. Lid drops by gravity not by a piston. Not expensive.

Basic, solid, sturdy, easy to clean.
