Although we seal our countertops prior to shipping to retailers, in some cases, the countertop may sit in the retailer's warehouse for an extended period, causing the sealant to dissolve over time. Therefore, it is advisable to re-seal the countertop before use and regularly every 6 to 12 months thereafter. The vanity IS made of solid Rubberwood and does have some interior MDF components but has been tested in humid environments. We back this with our warranty.
