Beautiful Floor...easy to install
We absolutely LOVE this floor. We installed it in an upstairs hallway as a test run for the entire upstairs. This was a DIY project. First time I've worked with laminate, so I can't speak to the end locking features that competitors use. I will say that the ends of this flooring simply overlap and rely on the previous (offset) and next (offset) row to clamp the ends in place. That's why the manufacturer recommends gluing the ends in the first and last rows. I personally didn't have to glue any of the ends...they all lay nice and flat. I found the first row to be a challenge...it didn't take me long to give up on trying to maintain edge gap to the long wall. Instead, I put three rows together (paying attention to the clearances at the ends, because I was cutting for length). Then, the weight of the 19 foot X 18 inch section kept things from scooting around as I added pieces, so I was able to dial in the edge gap then and it stayed in place. A word of caution about transitions and T moldings. HD carried these items, although I don't believe they're from the same manufacturer. The ones I found (and bought) at HD are only good up to 12 mm thickness. Quick math says that 12mm flooring plus 3mm underlayment = potential problems. I suppose I could've installed the t molding track on top of the underlayment...maybe that would've worked. Instead, I went to the other home improvement store and bought a product that is good up to 15mm. All in all, very pleased with how it turned out, and we're now planning on doing the rest of our upstairs in the same product. See attached before and after photos...obviously there were some other changes going on, but it really did transform the space.

Love it!
This floor is amazing. It looks rustic and real for a laminate product. We chose this flooring because we have three large dogs. After six months, the floor has no sign of damage or scratches from the dogs. We hired Home Depot installers to do the installation. They did an amazing job and said this was one of the better products that they have put down. We had several different subfloors that they laid the floor, and you can't tell one bit. I highly recommend this product for the price. My only complaint is a creaking/cracking noise when you walk on it. Very typical of this type of flooring.

Nice flooring, looks great, simple install.
I did my add on family room with this flooring. Looks great, easy to cut and lay down. Took a couple evenings after subfloor prep. I recommend the traffic master premium underlayment with vapor barrier in the 100 sq ft rolls between the subfloor and this flooring. Feels natural like the rest of my house with real hardwood floors.

We love this flooring! Rustic and beautiful!
We had Home Depot install about 1800sqft throughout the house (all but kitchen, entry, bathroom & laundry). We've recieved so many compliments on the floors from everyone who has come over. They look rustic and beautiful, are easy to clean and don't scratch too easy either (which is good considering we have 2 large dogs and 2 kids). Installation through the Home Depot was great! The guys did a great job and only took 2 days, they were informative and very nice. Overall we are so happy with the results and love the rustic country look we are going for in our home! Thanks Home Depot and Home Decorators!

The tips/tricks of how to install this
I just got done installing, and am sharing how to succeed with this product. My review is for folks that bought this and are now kicking themselves, or for those who like how it looks but are put off by the bad reviews. First things first, this is good looking sturdy laminate. During install I dropped things on it, slipped with the pull board while tightening and nothing hurt it. That being said it goes together in a different way, and I'm guessing that the hand scraped nature of the boards leads to inconsistency in the manufacturing. And by the way, inconsistency like 1.5 mm off comes to haunt you. The keys you need to install this tear free are: 1. Screw the first row in. Period. Spacers won't work. Just drill a tap hole close to the wall so your baseboard will cover it (YES - your baseboards need to come off). 2. Glue, a dremel, knife, and weights. I glued every tongue and groove. Period. And yes, not every joint sits nicely when they are joined. This is not like other laminates. Use the weight to compress the pieces as you go. Some don't need it, most do. 3. I used the dremel ( and note the attachment I was using) to route out the grooves on select pieces. Siimilarly with the knife. 4. Process: Test fit the board, and see if it's perfect. A millimeter will kill you down the rows so perfect means perfect. If there's a gap between the boards, try working the groove with the dremel to see if that will bring it in. If not, go to the next board. I found that a board that didn't work in one spot is OK in another. Again, I think that's due to very small inconsistencies in the manufactureing. When you get a good fit, run a small bead of the glue in the groove and "snap" the piece in. (Not really a snap like Pergo, more of a slide). 5. As stated in another review, finesse works better on this stuff than beating, but I still tapped and pulled some boards in. 6. When I was done, I found there were some small gaps here and there, but due to the nature of the boards and how they look it's not an issue I'm confident this floor will last and remain scratch free for years. For me it was worth the effort to install. Good Luck!

What a waste of time and money!
For a "click" together or snap together floor, I had only 2 pieces actually hold tight. The "lips" actually just break off when installing. Every time I went to cut the end pieces, with the special $200 blade I bought just for this job, the last rows had all popped loose. The edges break way too easily for a tight install. this flooring needs pressure against the sides to hold the flooring together. I have no clue how leaving a gap all around could produce a decent job. I will put up the wall covering, and base molding, and hope I can force the plank together and down. This floor sure "floats". I may tear it out and try something else. I'll try wedging it in and disregard the expansion they plan on it having. The floor isn't down now anyway.Maybe the sheet rock and base molding will hold it flat.....let's hope so. It looks great from a distance though. Between tools and material, the floor alone is over $2,700.00 and i thought I was buying a "better" product. Never again

Easy Install in basement 1000 sq/ft
I read the reviews here and was surprised at all the comments of people say how hard it was to install and they returned it etc. I went ahead and bought it anyway as I have some experience in putting down floor but am by no means an expert. This flooring is actually very easy to install. I put down over 1000sq/ft in my basement over concrete floor with no problem. It's very easy to snap together and unlike some brands of laminate floor you can connect this in both directions meaning you can start with a straight line in the center of your room and build out both side. Many other laminates can only be built in one direction. Some folks mention putting in one end and the other popping out, this sort of happens but is very easy to solve. With an off cut of the floor, use it as a piece to put into the groove and hammer the other side with a rubber mallet. It will snug all the boards together very easily. Overall, this is very easy to install, looks great and is well priced. Ignore the reviews explaining this product is difficult to install.

Great appearance! Some flaws in design.
Pros: Appearance, price, pattern repeats randomly, even in same lot number Cons: could not use from different boxes randomly, dimensions were slightly off on a few, making it very difficult to get together properly. Some long seams don't completely meet. Be sure your floor is perfectly flat. Since these do not have lips on the end that lock together, they don't stay smooth. The instructions say to glue the end seams on first row of any run, do it. Otherwise they will stick up. The 6.26" width and 50.78" length makes room layout a little difficult, but not bad enough to not buy this flooring. Overall, for the price, this is a great choice for flooring.

Very pretty, but diffacult to start and put down
Just put the floors down and like most have mentioned, starting off was the most difficult and problematic of this laminate. We literally broke the tongue and groves off 4 boards before we finally got it to work. Once We got 4 rows connected, it started to flow pretty easy. We installed just over 700 sqft, which worked out to be about 38 boxes total. We had several cuts to make, which made things more difficult.. Overall, the majority of the room, without major cuts, took about 6 hours to install. With the cuts it easily took another 5 hours with 2 people working together. The floors do look very nice, the quality seems to be pretty good. Those that have seen our room say it has made our house look brand new and they couldn't tell much of a difference between this and real wood. If you are laying a pretty small square room... I would use these again. And there simply isn't enough DIY videos to watch on this to prepare yourself for the problems you will face.

    Looks great once it's in
My dad and I had never installed laminate floor before. I bought it in store based on the price and color and came home to read the reviews and was a little hesitant based on them. When we started laying it down, I can see where people say they don't all slide in very easy and a lot of them pop up. It seemed as we added the next row, it got better and better. I also bought the laminate install kit that included the spacers, flooring tool and rubber block. We were hesitant to use the block at first in fear of damaging the laminate and making it chip. We started using it more at the end and didn't have an issue with it chipping and our gaps were a lot less at the end. At first we were stressing out about it not fitting perfect, but in the end, once it was all together, it looks great. May not be perfect with a few gaps, but for the majority it was fine. I have never installed anything else, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but we definitely had issues with not all of the boards locking tightly. I would recommend using the rubber block and trying to hammer them into place when that happens. I am planning on doing the rest of the condo (only did my bedroom and closet) with this flooring. Also, one tip that I did not read about or watch in the video if you plan on installing your floor that I wish I would have known, is start with all the door jams first and then work your way to the easier side of the room. We left the door jam side of the room last, and it was so tough to wiggle those pieces into place and try to get them to lock all at the same time.

    High Style, Quality and Value
Installed around 1500 sqft in an older home that needed updating, including the living areas, kitchen, dining, study, and closets. What a difference! This floor looks great and has proven to be tough through a remodel. Our painter apparently didn't bother to put down drop cloths, so there were paint splatters all over the new floor. I was pretty upset about this. But with a minor bit of scrubbing, the paint all lifted off the surface with no trouble -- crisis averted. And, we've had a lot of furniture, appliances, and dollies wheeled across it over a 3 month remodel period without any scratches, nicks, or any sign of wear. Which is a good thing since this house is located in the country and I expect lots of dirt to be tracked across it over the decades to come. I didn't install it myself. We used the Home Depot installation since they were having a special, and it was too good to pass up for the large area. But be aware that HD insisted that our concrete slab needed both a moisture barrier and a separate underlayment. We were not allowed to use just a premium underlayment that had built-in moisture barrier, or it would void the warranty. I felt this was a hidden extra cost and tried to fight it, but they would not budge. I would definitely choose this flooring again, and highly recommend it.

      Beautiful Floors
I had over 500 sq feet of this laminate flooring installed into my living room and hallway. It looks beautiful! I love the color and the distressed look of the product. I have 2 dogs and was worried about scratching, but this product appears to be very durable. So far, I am very pleased with the product

little concerning at first, but once I got a feel for it, I will use this on my whole house
I read the reviews and ended up purchasing this flooring. The look was too good to pass up. I was concerned about the install process. To be honest it took a moment to get used to. So for everyone out there thinking about this flooring let me help you. This flooring does not snap as has been stated. It does almost drop into place. There are a couple of things you have to be aware of, but this is an incredible flooring. 1) PUT DOWN THE RUBBER HAMMER!!! This is a product that demands gentle applications of force. If when laying the piece of flooring it seems to not want to lay down flat, lift it and give it a wiggle back and forth while applying pressure. It should after a try or two lay almost completely flat. 2) The piece of flooring you are laying will not always drop perfectly flat, especially at the ends. When you come by with the next row and lock in those end seams they will be perfect. 3) Take your time on the first pieces and get a feel for it. DO NOT HAMMER the material. the lip on these panels is fairly soft. It wont take much abuse, but it will be much more forgiving of uneven surfaces because of the softness. 4) if a panel is giving you trouble give the panels you are trying to attach it to a lift, push, and wiggle. Sometimes it needs a little shimmying to get perfectly lined up. the corners of the panels should match up exactly. if they don't one piece is not seated correctly. the soft nature of the panels makes it easy to adjust already locked in panels. 5) use a circular saw. We started cutting these panels with a dremel saw. The cuts were clean, the sparks were fun. Then we started noticing how irritated our eyes were at the dust, and my pocketbook was at the loss of every $10 blade. an 18V Ryobi circular saw will make clean cuts all day. Set the depth to just barely cut through and you wont have to worry about chips. The blade made it through 400Sq Ft of install without any signs of failing. This is a great product. It installs a bit differently than other products. The end pieces do not lock and don't need to. If you are having buckling at the end seams it is because you did not seat the panels right, or the seams from the two rows are too close to one another. Be sure to read the manual and don't install it like your buddy who has done this before says to. I'm still stoked I was able to install this in one day. Please excuse the mess in the photo. We had just finished for the day and this is a living room that also serves as our 2 year olds play area.

Product looks great but a pain to install
We installed 800 sq ft of this flooring. It looks amazing and we get a lot of compliments, however the installation leaves a bit to be desired. We have installed both laminate and hardwood flooring before and this was far more difficult. It doesn't "snap" in as easily as others, therefore makes installation somewhat stressful. Now that it is in, it was worth the "sweat" but I am not sure that we would do it again, even though it looks fantastic!

      Sharp Looking Floor!
This is a great looking floor when installed properly. If your subfloor or existing hardwood has level issues it can be a little tough to work with due to the thickness. A quality underlayment can usually fix minor issues (as ours did for the most part ). The finish is durable and appears that it will meet or exceed the manufacturers guarantee. The old hickory stock trim molding (T mold transition) also matches perfectly.

      "Looks Stunning"
It was more work to remove and replace the old sub floor than it was to put this in. After undercutting the door jams and notching a few planks for around the shower. it went down with no problem.( I have done this before) It will test or eat your saw blades but that's the same with any Laminate floor. I did the whole floor with a T square, pencil.jig saw,and a skill saw. Wherever you put it spend the extra on a good thick Underlayment. There is no "right' direction but most of the time you want the planks to run parallel with the door. I ran it the other way because I wanted 1 seam instead of 6 in front of the shower !

      The Floor looks absolutely stunning!
Recently, we had one large room installed with brown, distressed hickory purchased at HD. Our private contractor installed the flooring and had a slow start with the installation because of the different lock system, but he stated it went down ok after several rows. My husband and I agree it looks fabulous. We purchased a more durable, thicker underlayment which hopefully will be warm during the winter months.

I have installed about 400 Feet so far.
I found it easier to install by making a block from scrap and using that piece to tap in each new section to get them to set completely was the easiest for me. At first I had an issue with the pieces laying flat, but by tapping in each new piece it went much more smoothly from then on. Planning on doing another three rooms with this, really happy with it so far.

      Great flooring for the price.
I cannot comment on the install, as I had a contractor do it, but it does look great in my office. We put down about 2000 square feet of this stuff. It has a nice warranty and seemed very durable. I actually took my car key in the store and tried to scratch the sample and could not. It seems very solid compared to other stuff I looked at. Everyone in the office loves it so far.

        PLEASE DONT BUY THIS FLOORING
I cant stress enough that the reviews talking about the seams coming apart and buckling as well as the bubbling are correct, its awful. It started about one year after installation and its only gotten worse to the point that we are replacing this floor next summer. We did the entire house in it 4 years ago not many reviews then. it looked beautiful until the seams started to flip up and buckle. We did everything to the letter when installing. Its the floor. Many negative reviews BELIEVE THEM,

              Unfortunate
Had this a little over a year. There is no water resistance, however. If a spill is not immediately cleaned up, you get bubbling and once it dries it starts to flake off. Sad part is I can’t even get more to replace the parts with water damage. Beware of having pallets shipped to your home. This took 3 months instead of 5-8 days and all exterior boxes were damaged. Since it was purchased by the pallet and not by the case, I couldn't return the damaged cases to the store. All around the look of the flooring is great but a letdown in quality and the ability to replace damaged sections after original install less than 12 months ago.
