Love the way they look and ease of use.

I originally wrote a very positive review of this product (which I would’ve liked to edit now, but was having a hard time finding). We bought these four months ago and I loved them at first. They felt papery but they did a good job blocking light at an affordable price. Fast forward four months and these shades are already starting to fall apart. If you look at the pictures, it’s like a coating or whatever is on the shade is coming off and letting light through. I didn’t catch it at first because the tinier spots don’t show up except for when full sunlight is streaming through. But now that there are bigger spots, it’s become obvious. This is the worst shade of the four we bought. The shades in my kid’s room are beginning to get the pinprick spots as well where the shades crease (I would’ve assumed it was wear and tear from my kids had I not noticed it on mine first). Very disappointed. I knew these wouldn’t last a lifetime for the price, but four months? Even at that price point, it’s a money loss. Looking into any possible warranty options. Next time, we’ll know...

Great shades. They block almost 100% of light. They are a very tight fit. Not sure why they made the bottom bigger than the top, but they all fit. I ordered 9 of them for the whole house. A few had to be pulled all the way open to fit, I guess the windows aren't perfect but they all look great!

We installed these shades in all of our bedrooms, in the family room and on one of the windows in the sunroom that gets really hot. I love three things about them. 1. They're so convenient. No tangled cords. 2. They're attractive. 3. They really keep the sun out when you're trying to sleep. LOVE THEM.

The blinds started out great and worked with the remote as well as with the application. Then I started to continually get a back drive fault on the motor. I have had the blinds for almost 4 months and only 3 out of the 7 work consistently. Here is the deal I have constantly ran into. I have reprogrammed these blinds around 300 times. When you open the blinds or close the blind it will constantly cause a back drive fault. This causes me to have to reprogram the blind. So now I have reprogrammed the blind and lowered the top setting to avoid the blind going to high maybe and faulting again. Close the blind open the blind maybe once or twice. Back drive fault again... spend another 15 minutes programming all the blinds........ 2-3 more openings and guess what..... back drive fault.. sadly I’m stubborn and spent way too much money on these but I believe my only option now is to replace them with standard pull operating blinds.

With the pandemic, I was concerned about having strangers come into my home for window treatments. I purchased the blinds first and they went up easy so I decided to try the shades. They have only been up a week but I love them! I put them up myself and they went in easy with a snap. I love how they go up and down with one hand and no cord. The pewter color is a beautiful gray. They give me the privacy that I want at night and the beauty of an open sunny window during the day time. I also love the fact that they are white on the outside. Fantastic product that is great for my budget and not complicated to install.

In all honesty, I wasn't sure this purchase would be a good one. They were easy to install and they really do blackout a room. I felt like I was in a hotel with how well these shades keep light out. I have been recommending them to everyone. Since our new home had no trees at all for shading and keeping the house cooler, these shades are amazing and look great.

The easiest blinds to install!!! I bought them for 3 houses because I could install them in no time!

Like most cellular shades, these are fragile if mishandled, but they do an excellent job of blocking light straight-on. Be aware though that the cellular design allows significant light to exit to the sides. Due to the weight of the lower cells, the upper cells elongate, allowing more light to exit to the sides. If you truly want to block all light, you should have a plan for dealing with this trait.

These were ridiculous to hang. I have been able to hang light fixtures and shelving but had to get help with these. These look good but the bottoms are bowed so they do not sit flat. Would be an improvement to make different clips. For the price I would still recommend them even with the bowing flaw and the horrible clips

Overall I am happy with the purchase. However, I have to give it 3 stars because I wish the motor wasn't that loud. This morning, my dog jumped out of bed when the programed shade opened.

I did an outside mount on this with about an 1 1/2 in Wider than my window as recommended and while it isn’t 100% blackout it definitely darkens my room, keeps it cooler and minimizes outside noise. And they have a nice modern look to them. My only suggestion for more blackout would be to do 3-4 in wider than window width but some light will always kinda peek through unless you add curtains. Still worth it.

Serves its purpose as a shade. The room darkening model does keep the light out, but made of very thin paper like material. Custom cut, but whoever did the cutting didn’t bother with quality control, so straight out of the box each “cone” was mashed and fused together. I had to use a razor blade to seperate while being extremely carefull not to cut the very thin material. A customer shouldn’t have to do this. You pay for something it should be sent in proper condition. See the attached photo. I would reccommend this product but definately not paying full price, only if it were on sale at a really good price. Not worth the full price.

Definitely filters out light. Not a black out, but very close. Easy to use. Seems to be solid construction

Shades are perfect for hot south west sun. The make a huge difference in indoor temps. both winter and summer. I love the way home depot measures; you enter your measurements and the site calculates the EXACT measurements the shades will be - so no light at the edges. Arrived timely, securely packaged. These are the 7th windows I've done. Super easy to install!

If you're looking for true blackout coverings for your windows, do yourself a favor and order these immediately. I was beyond happy after I hung one shade up for comparison to a standard blind. (See attached photo) They are so worth the money. They are super easy to install. They arrived in under 2 weeks. Completely and utterly satisfied.

Bought These flies for a right room or we just needed some relief from the heat and sun in the summer, lines were fairly easy to install they look great, they are however paper so they’re not incredibly sturdy, but we don’t have little kids and can be careful with them so that’s fine with us

They are perfect for my grandson's room keeping it dark for his afternoon nap! They fit right in the clips that the former owner had so just used those. Have had them about 6 weeks now. Picked them up at curbside and they came out with the shades in only a few minutes!

Easy "inside the window frame" install. And when they say blackout shades, they mean blackout. Only light coming through is the cracks along the side where the frame is slightly larger = the .1875" sliver on each side of the window. Using these for starting night shift for residency, and am very appreciative how well they work!

Thrilled. Made myself a COVID sewing room on our enclosed back porch. Sunny window was just too warm. Perfect fit, easy install, makes a huge difference in room temp. I was shocked how quickly it arrived.

I ordered the Home Decorators blackout cordless cellular shades for my bedroom windows. My house came with all dark brown vinyl shades, and while room darkening when closed, they still let in a lot of light from street lights at night. Also one window faces full west and lets in a lot of heat in the summer. The windows are old and drafty so I'm hoping for improvement with insulation for all seasons too. I bought the snow drift color to make the room brighter, and it does make my bedroom cheerier. The shade appears to be good quality, but I don't have anything to compare it to. Home Depot did a nice job cutting them; I ordered them online instead of buying from a store location. The shade does darken the room much better than the original vinyl shades although there is light around the edges. I have noticed a slight improvement in room temperature by about a degree or so although I was hoping it would be better based on some of the other reviews for this product. Reasons for 4 stars: I had a terrible time snapping the blind in for the second one that I installed. The first went in fairly easily. I spent two hours trying to snap it in. It seemed to make the sound but would pop out when I let go of the head rail. After much frustration, I finally got it to click in. To be fair, I only installed one of the screws into the window frame for each bracket when installing the second shade. I don't know if that would affect installation. I had two inches of depth as the one window guide recommends but not two inches of flat depth as the other guide recommends and that became a problem for me when installing the first shade so I opted to forgo the second screw on the second installation. Design-wise it would have helped if the brackets spaced the screws differently so they would work for my windows which have an additional interior framing. I prefer the look of an inside mount better than an outside mount. I also wish they could have been cut to lessen the light bleed around the edges. I feel that I should have bumped up my measurement slightly instead of using the actual width in order to get the finished blind closer to my window width measurement. I would have liked it to fill the window better. Overall I'm happy with the blinds, and I would recommend them.

Measurement and quality of the shade are spot on and appear to be decent quality for the price. However, there is nothing on these shades whatsoever to make it “blackout”. If you need a decent affordable shade without blackout purpose, then this is it. But otherwise, look elsewhere and spend the money.

This window shade is perfect for my new kitchen. Already have friends asking me where they can get for their own windows.

Easy to install. Shopped around. A blind store quoted us over 4k to do the whole house! I paid 600.00 total. They look great and I actually prefer this brand over an expensive blind in my bathroom. The other blind has a push button when closing or opening and sometimes get stuck. This blind is a simple push or pull down. My son-in-law installed for me. The 1st one was a bear to install but after that he installed 12 blinds in an hour and half.

Very lightweight. Blocks out the light. Light does come through a little around the edges of the window but not bothersome. Room is much darker than before with the shade down. I bought 2 and put them next to eachother because it's such a large window. I would give it a 5 if it would've come the the bottom clip the let's you lift the shade without having to use your nails when it's all the way down. I'll be ordering another one.

This Cellular Blackout Shade was an excellent purchase! We have searched high and low for something that was affordable, would block out the sun, and look good. Prices were so expensive everywhere else, and the affordable options looked so cheap. I wish we would have know about these blinds years ago. Now we are saving on air and our eyes get a break from the bright sunlight that’s hits our restroom in the morning. Thank You for making a quality product that’s affordable! It also arrived quickly and easy to assemble. We will be replacing all of our old metal blinds with these Cellular Shades! Just waiting on the white to be in stock:)

I have bought two of these and hung them In different rooms. I just love them.!!! Will be getting more for all my windows.

They were easy to install and worked really well for a week, but now one side won't stay up! I have two--one is working great; the other isn't. I've tried to look for tricks and fixes, but nothing. Disappointed in the quality and frustrated they didn't last even a week!
