The brass finish, which dominates the appearance of the fixture, is neither bright nor antique; it doesn't coordinate well with the brass finishes already in my home. I therefore returned the fixture without installing it and cannot comment on its functionality.

I received this light fixture for review two weeks ago. I was very impressed by the appearance and overall workmanship. All hardware needed to install this ceiling mount light was included in the box. I did have some trouble trying to use the twist on wire connectors and after three times, where the wires pulled out of the connectors, I used crimp-on butt connectors. The next problem was where the main body of the light had to be connected to the mounting plate that was attached to the electrical box in the ceiling. Here there are two long screws that protrude downward from the mounting plate and must pass through two small holes the main body of the light. It was difficult to center the screws and get them to pass through the holes because once you push the light up toward the ceiling you can't see where the screws are anymore. Ball nuts then have to be screwed onto the screw ends that protrude through the inside portion of lights main body. To make things worse the area where screws protrude through the main body have a countersunk hole that is nearly impossible to both hold onto the ball nut and then turn it so as to tighten the main body to the ceiling. If I had four hands it still would have been very difficult. Finally, after three failed attempts to center the light and attach it, I was able to get one ball nut started ono the screw and it held the light up long enough to tighten the other screw. To fit the ball nuts onto the screw ends I taped them to a nut driver which allowed me to fit them down into the countersunk area and turn them. To say the least, installation was very frustrating and I feel that this manufacturer should work out a more simple method to attach the main light body to ceiling mounting plate. Now, once the light was mounted and the glass shade/diffuser was attached I was very impressed with the performance of this light. It is very bright and the light produced is a warm white color. I installed it in my kitchen and it looks great and was a substantial improvement over the fluorescent fixture it replaced. Overall, I like the light fixture but can't recommend it because of the installation problems.

This is an attractive fixture with just a light amount of antiquing applied. Nothing is brass, of course, except maybe part of the finial. It is easy to install, provided you are replacing an existing fixture, and provides good light for a bedroom or hallway. Warning. This does not have replaceable bulbs. When the light dies, the entire fixture must be replaced. I would only put this in areas where the light is seldom used. Even if the circuit lasts ten years, it will still be highly annoying when someone realizes they can't just screw in a new bulb to vanquish the darkness.

for a woman I am tall i stand at five foot nine and the men in the house are taller. that coupled with low ceilings made for head injuries with the traditional chandeliers that hung from the ceiling in a cascading way. I saw this one that lays flush against the ceiling and I knew it was perfect for my home and famiily. It looks very expensive with the brass and the led lights give more than sufficient light. Highly recommend.

This light is very bright. It provides nearly 1600 Lumens of brightness. Not only is is bright but it is very eco-friendly because it ONLY consumes 25 watts due to its use of LEDs versus old lighting technology. No bulbs to replace. I installed this and the smaller (12") version in the basement in my work area, replacing two standard overhead lights. What a difference! For the first time my work room is totally well lit. I really like these lights! The aged brass and white glass shade look very nice together. This light is so bright that my when my wife saw it after I installed it she said "don't look into the sun!" Installation was fairly straightforward and the light comes with all the necessary mounting hardware.

The light looks fantastic and puts out a lot of light but installation was VERY difficult. First, the pros: the "aged brass" finish has a really nice gold tone to it and looks great. The integrated LEDs are bright but put out light that isn't too cold. We put this in a hallway and it's perfect for that location. It sits flush with the ceiling when installed correctly and I'm very happy with the appearance. Now for the cons: installation was CHALLENGING. All the included hardware is fine and the process seems very straightforward but the instructions are terrible. Once the mounting bracket was up it's hard to actually mount the light to the screws simply because you can't see where they are.

The Versailles 15 inch Aged Brass 25-Watt Integrated LED Flush mount with White Glass Shade looks great and it is listed as dimmable an extra desirable feature, but you do not have to install it on a dimmable switch I am just using a normal wall switch. It was easy to install and everything needed for the installation was included in the box, I would not hesitate to get more of these.
