Sorry, but I had to return the item. It failed to start up.

Needed to replace a Ryobi 25cc trimmer that was 11 years old. The Homelite trimmer is a bit lighter in weight ? which is good. I like the curved shaft. It is a little hard to start but I have only used it twice.. I hope with more use I will get better at starting it.

First of all I’ll start off by saying I have worked on many string trimmers and this thing here is terrible. Like many other reviews have stated. It starts when it wants to start. Some days it will start on the first pull. Other days it will not start. And if it decides to start, you better keep it running until you are completely done for the day cuz if you turn it off,you will not get it running again until a few days later or when it decides it wants to run.

Ilove this weed eater very easy to use, and light weight. Also VERY EASY to reload of you read the back of the box the preload song comes in which i also love. Very durable string and for a great price i believe it was $15. For 5 reloads which will last me forever. One last thing very easy to start. If i could give more stars i would that's how much i love this thing. I highly recommend!

It won't start ! Why?

This unit works great for the price. The easy reload of the string is probably the best feature. I have 2 of these for a couple of different houses

Easy loading I love it

Very heavy, and loud compared to my previous string trimmer! Returning it after 1 X 30 minute use!

After only one or two uses, I cannot get this to start and run for the life of me. I have tried everything, including TruFuel 3 in 1 oil and gas mix. Either the cord is jammed and I cannot pull it when I go to start it, or it just won't start. I probably only got 1 good use out of this.

Will not stay running no matter what I tried. I am returning it.

I'm sure this is not indicative of all Homelite trimmers; however, we could never get outs to start and ended up returning it and purchasing a different string trimmer.

Spool keeps jamming. If it keeps happening will have to throw it out.

The trimmer works well when the string comes out easily. It's easy to start and efficient as a small gas trimmer, however the bump feed sucks. I'm constantly having to turn it on and off and fixing the string because it sucks it up. I have it wound correctly but it just eats through string.

Should have listened to the reviews about it not starting easy. Takes forever to get it going,might have to return it.

Gave it to my son for a bday gift. He loves it!

Economic y de buen performance

Pull start is extremely hard to use. I have tried 4 times and was only successful once.

After four months of owning this thing it decided it didn’t want to start anymore. I’ve cleaned out the carburetor, changed the gas and changed the spark plug. For some reason, the engine floods almost immediately. I have to wait for the engine to dry out and after about 30 more pulls the thing will decide to start. Then it runs like crap. I would never buy another Homelite product again

Jury is still out on the trimmer head but the rest of the device is as advertised.
