A:  Yes. It's easy to string out of the spool and can be cut into strips at any length. Make sure it's the correct width (ie .095 in) that fits your trimmer. They come in different widths.

A:  I apparently have purchased the trimmer line, as HD sent me a "can you help" email, and with that said, I have and do use it with a couple of my Ryobi trimmers. (I can't say how it would work with other brands of trimmers). It is a bit harder to fit into the hole when you first start to rewind fresh line, but other than that no problem. On the plus side, I do think it "cuts" better than the non-twisted line.
