It appears that no one at Honeywell, or Resideo has given thought to why these doorbell push buttons get such a bad review due to the lugs breaking on the bracket when people try to replace the battery. The written instructions are awful, the video instructions online from the company are terrible as well, and do not spend nearly enough time on how to achieve this procedure without breaking the product. The directions should clearly indicate that one puts a small screwdriver in at the bottom left and pushes the tab towards the door frame, then slide the button assembly upwards to disengage it. I don’t think they must realize how quickly a large company can get a bad reputation just by providing really bad directions.

When I had some doors put in, they ruined my wired in doorbell. I was pretty unhappy. But then I found this Honeywell doorbell. I was worried because we have 2 doorbell ringers for our front door alone (one is outside of our porch and one is at the actual door. And there's a big distance between the porch and the inside where I would want to hang a new doorbell chime thingy. But these work! I LOVE the fact that I could buy more, which I did! And I LOVE LOVE the fact that I can pair each push button with a different color and sound. I could have done them all the same as well, the choices were wonderful! So now I have this system with 3 push-buttons (one for the back door) and I know which button is being pushed and where. The chime is loud and I bought the system that allows me to even add in my own sounds and I was able to put it in the living room next to our air and heating thing so I can now hear it all over the house (my old system I could not hear it in the back bedroom).

Easy to install, 5 choices of ringers. Different for front and back. Had to order a second ringer, but shipped to store quickly.I am happy!

Upgraded and connected this button to an older Honeywell wireless doorbell I've had about 10 years. Works great and looks like I have all new system at a fraction of the cost!

Works great your able to change chimes for different doors loud enough to hear though walls installing it took a little work because our house is cinder block bought some anchors drilled the holes installed the mounting bracket snapped on door bell button and done

I needed a door bell for each entrance to connect with my Honeywell receiver. Very easy to set up.

Safe yourself the headache and buy another brand. When they work, they work great but they never last and there is no way to fix it. Won't pair to replacement doorbell buttons.

Same issue as most, doorbell works fine, mounting bracket breaks the first time you tale it off to change the battery. Cheap cheap cheap !

I bought this door bell (PRWL400W2000/A) little more than six months ago. Since then, bell switch sometime works other time do not. Sometime switch get stuck and bell keep ringing. Last week I put my hand on door bell switch and it fell off. I notice that hook on back grey plastic plate were broken. I do not know where to get this plastic plate, so I have to replace the door bell.

This item easy to install takes minutes. Works great. Has great sound tones.

A problem I found with the push button is that the battery is not held securely in place; I installed a thicker piece of foam on the battery cover and it appears to have cured the problem of it not working. This appears to be a design / manufacturing flaw.
