5 months old a piece of the handle cover chipped off .

I grew up on G.E. products they where always amazing back then and they're even more amazing now.

We love it, it has a lot of space, it is easy to clean, I can place the grates in different positions according to my needs, it cools super well. And I ended up loving the black color.

Hit or miss. Less than 5 years and the gasket needs to be replaced twice and a basket is cracked . Doors gasket has poor suction and cool air is escaping.

Bought three of these for ouselves and rental units. They all came our of the crate with damage some with even worse than shown. Still waiting for a replacement door. They are noisy too. Had an earlier model of this for 20 years.

my landlord delivered this a couple weeks ago... the hotpoint I had previously had a good life of 13 years... I love the color , size, and QUIET now.

We needed an extra refrigerator freezer for added storage space, but were unable to get one in this size, with this quality and price during COVID. We are thankful and glad to finally have our Hotpoint refrigerator freezer in our home, confident we will use it for many years to come. Bless you all!

If you have the same size in black upright frost free freezer, I will buy it (any maker will do). The special sale came at the right time for me to buy a new refrigerator though smaller than the one I replaced it with. I am loving it.

I is so nice to now be able to find something compared to my old chest type freezer. Just wish they would of add one more of the larger racks

I am very happy with this refrigerator.It is spacious, clean, and practical,not complicated and meet my needs.I love simple.I live in an apartment for 16 tears and the refrigerator was a Hotpoint a little smaller than this and never failed. Now I moved to a house and that is why I bought this one, an I like the black color it is so nice. Love it!

We have had this refrigerator for several weeks now and there are several issues with it: there is a decorative (?) strip that prevents the freezer door gasket from sealing (see photo); during defrost there are water drops all around the freezer and freezer door (see photos); and, despite setting the temperature past Recommended and slightly past Colder, the refrigerator stays above 40 and the freezer stays around 5 (as read on a freezer thermometer). No vent is blocked and the freezer is full. We used to own a similar basic refrigerator made by Roper (Whirlpool) and never had these issues. Are these normal? My recommendation is a qualified yes, because I want to like this refrigerator. It looks good, it is the right size, and it is sturdy.

I have a similar size refrigerator at home already, and as my mother-in-law moved in with us, we decided to get another refrigerator. She loves to cook, and our 18 CU was not enough for her. Of course, I shopped on-line first, went through Sears, Best Buy, etc, but there was a Home Depot near where I live, so I decided to pay a visit. It was nice to actually see the product (size and compartment) rather than purchasing on-line w/o actually seeing it. Price was very satisfying, and deliver was very prompt. (I also visited Best Buy and HHGREGG nearby before purchasing) We considered going to HHGREGG, since they had something similar, but they were charging for the shipment verses Home Depot was offering free shipment. If I were buying a new refrigerator for the first time, I might have gotten the stainless double door that is very popular nowadays, but for a second refrigerator, price was great, size was just enough, and no hassle purchase!!

Have to keep freezer almost empty and still have defrost every 4 to 6 months

I bought this recently and I love it. The recessed handles, and the hidden coils are great. Will highly recommend!

Bought this model to replace a refrigerator in my home that was starting not to work well. I like the sleek design and that there are no handles that stick out. Just grab the pocket to open. Forgot to measure old fridge, so this one is about 4" smaller overall. Not a big deal, but if you want a bigger freezer, than opt for a larger fridge. I like, and trust GE appliances and would purchase again.

Spacious and very ergonomic. A great appliance that has tons of room.
