I'm always on the lookout for sturdy storage totes to use in my travel trailer, so when I got the chance to try out this 18 gallon Professional Duty Storage Tote from Husky I jumped at it. Contrary to some of the totes I've used, this container is built to last. The red plastic sides are thick, but not brittle, so they should be able to take some knocking around without cracking. The clear plastic lid hinges on both sides and locks together when closed. This increases strength and allows the tote to be stacked on without the lid giving way. Having a clear lid also allows easy viewing of the contents. The tote fits perfectly into the side storage compartment of my Winnebago. I'm very pleased with this storage tote, and highly recommend it!

The storage bin is a good size. I added odds and ends that had been piling up in my shed on the counter into it. The tote is made of sturdy - strong plastic. The lid is also made of a stiff plastic. My concern for the lid though, is that it may shatter. It seems that the plastic is a type in which it does not flex very well. So I would tend to lean not to stack too much on top of it. Sealing the lid shut is easy but you have to watch closely as it can be a bit of a tricky seal. I like that the lids are hinged really well and that you can see perfectly through the lids. Overall, its a good bin. I would just use caution with that lid.

I was looking for storage and this Husky storage fit the bill. It was large enough to fill a lot of my things. The lid was hard to open, but to me that just feels like it is sealed nice and tight. Preventing things from seeping in. It felt very sturdy and the handles were comfortable. These are also stackable, which is great. It will help save space in my house.

This is a good, heavy duty storage box for the garage or house. It's very sturdy plastic for bot the box and the lid. The hand grips are comfortable and it is stackable. It says that it has metal hinges, but the hinges are plastic with a metal rod through them. The lid is definitely dust-proof, but not water/leak proof so I wouldn't recommend it for outdoor use. The lid closes VERY securely, but I took off one star because of how difficult it can be to open it. It's best to pull up from the two ends rather than the middle. Not that this is not designed to be a lockable box.

Sturdy box which can take a pounding. Before I started using this, I let me kids play with it for a few days and they did everything they could to destroy it but the box still looks like the day I received it. The interlocking lid ensures a tight close and will hold whatever is inside nice and secure. Will be perfect for holding all my tools, keeping them out of the elements.

I had some miscellaneous tools and items sitting underneath my work bench and was looking for a storage solution. This box is really well made. The plastic feels tough without being overly heavy. The side handles don’t protrude too far but are still comfortable. I like the clear plastic lid for easy identification of what’s inside. The one thing I find challenging is the opening and closing of the lid. The way it saw tooths together it is a little difficult and it feels like you are going to break it. Overall this is a good storage box with ample capacity.

We use totes a lot for storage, because we have a storage unit where it's nice to have stackable, enclosed storage for different items. This tote is better than most any I've seen before; it's a solid exterior shell in a great size for being able to hold a lot, but not be too heavy to be moved around as needed. The lid is split and has nice hinges. The lid folds shut in such a way that it seals up the tote very well. This should help reduce dust and dirt getting inside and also prevent mice from finding their way in. The lid is also clear, so you can see at a glance what is inside the tote!

When I saw this Flip Top Storage Tote from Husky, all I could think of was storage for Christmas ornaments. Why – because the red color is a perfect way to identify which container has Christmas ornaments from the other storage containers I have. The container holds 18 gallons and has a clear plastic (polycarbonate) 2-piece top that closes upon itself. The design of the top is the only feature that I dislike. I would have preferred the metal clamp-down clips like they have on other products. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to open and close the top and my concern is that after repeated uses, it will break. The good news is that it has a lifetime warranty! There’s also a place for your hand to go when you want to open the top. There needs to be an illustration on the top showing how to properly open and close the top. I’m attaching a picture that shows how it works. The container is rated to hold 100 pounds of items and the top will allow other containers to be stacked on top of it. Fortunately, my ornaments won’t come close to weighing 100 lbs. Because the top is clear, there’s not a problem seeing what has been placed in it, and that will reduce the need to open the top.

This Husky 18 gal. storage tote is great for storing items in a garage, basement or any indoor space. It is large and very sturdy. The one piece molded body is heavy duty and the 2 piece clear flip top lid has sturdy hinges and snaps closed at multiple points for a tight seal which keeps out dust and protects the enclosed items. I used this tote to store Holiday items which are stored 11 months of the year.

The 18 gallon heavy duty Husky storage bin is the best constructed storage bin I have ever had. It is rated to hold up to 100 pounds. The pinned hinge two piece polycarbonate lid is listed as unbreakable. The two pieces overlap and interlock in the centeer of the bin. The pins that are the hinge pins are metal and seem very durable. Viewing the contents is really easy.

If you want better totes, here they are. These are sturdy and very well made. These are great for heavier items. I like the hinged clear lid that interlocks helping to keep it closed, protecting the contents inside. The hinges are metal pins that add strength and durability. With the clear lid, you can quickly and easily see what's inside. There are four reinforced holes that allow you to secure the lid. These come with a lifetime warranty. I like the red color too.

I recently received the Husky 18 Gal. Professional Duty Storage Tote with Flip Top Lid in Red. There must be a hundred different totes out but this one is different, a very well made tote that has a unique lid that folds together to form a nice locking like lid. The storage tote is made of a heavy high quality material. This tote will last for many years. With the see trough lid you can see what you have stored inside very easily, I like that feature. If you are looking for a well made heavy duty tote with a see though lid this is the one for you. I would recommend this tote to everyone.

I got this Husky 18 gallon tote to replace all the cardboard boxes I have been using for Holiday Decorations. It is indeed well made and the see through flip lid makes is easy to view the contents without having to open each container. The flip top lid does a good job of sealing the contents from dirt and dust. I will be rearranging all our Christmas decorations into these totes as soon as I get 4 more.

Was looking for a storage box that was large but not gigantic, had a locking lid, and was clear so that I could more easily see the contents. And this box suits my needs very well. It is deep enough to store a large volume of paint supplies, Opens easily with a meshing lock system, holds tight when moving, and you can see through the lid to assess the contents. Very stackable and easy to handle as not that large to be bulky and stuffed to over weight. Locking mechanism allows me to stow in pickup truck bed without fear of contents flying out.

This Husky 18 gallon flip top storage container is well-built with metal hinges, a clear polycarbonate split folding top (see picture), and reinforced tie holes (see pictures of the tie holes with the lid closed and open). It has a formed top and bottom which will allow stacking so that the bottom of the top container securely rests in molded hexagon indentations on the top of the lower container without sliding (see pictures of the top and bottom). It is 27 inches long by 13 inches high and a little over 19 inches deep (front to back), so this can fit a lot material for storage. Thanks to the pre-molded recessed handles on each side (see picture), it is easy to pick up and move. I highly recommend this storage container due to all of these great features. I expect I will be going back to the store to get more of these!

Husky 18 Gallon Professional Duty Storage Tote with Flip Top Lid is pretty standard in design and construction, but with enhancements. It measures 27-inches wide, about 19-inches long, and 13-inches high. The top is clear poly-carbonate, tough material, can see the contents quickly that's very useful. It has an enhanced lid closure design, in my opinion, adds rigidity to it when closed for more support when stacking. It's a little tricky to close the first time, not difficult after you've done it a couple of times, worth having it . The body of the container or bin is all a one piece mold,well done. What I like are the hinges, several on each lid section that are held in place using metal pins spaced along its length. Finally, on the short side has hand holds to lift and carry the container. I plan to use mine in the garage for tools and supply storage. The bin can be used for any other general use purposes, too. As with Husky's products come with a lifetime warranty.

Inside dimensions: On the top it is 25" x 18" and it's tapered to the bottom. The bottom is 23" x 15-1/2". It's 12-1/2" deep. The split lid (hinged on the long sides) latches and locks together rather tightly to keep dust / dirt out. It takes a bit of dexterity and practice to latch it closed. Once you do it a couple of times you'll understand it. The lid is clear and you can easily see what's inside. The tote is solidly built with steel pins at the hinges. As such it is easy to overload with over +100 pounds of heavy items. Trust me; I had difficulty lifting it onto a storage shelf 4' off the ground. It's on the bottom shelf now... This tote is overkill for 10 pounds of Christmas ornaments; but works great for my tool storage.

This is a heavy duty tote compared to your typical storage tote. I can imagine using this tote to carry tools or materials to a job site. No worry for things to fall out or get lost. The 18 gallons of space is huge. Anything larger you'd be buying a pickup saddle storage. It has two handles on either side of the short ends of the tote and a top that engages with its mate to make sure everything stays together in case the tote tips over.

This had been sold with a heavy duty lid as the sides and bottom are but they changed it and made the lids breakable making it useless compared to before. Stupid decision. Probably they don’t want it to last very long so you will buy more. Nope!
