I'm using it in the kitchen for an island and work station. The top can be adjusted to a good height for work. The under side can also store Sharp knives and instruments from kids, by lowering it and removing the handle.

Recently my wife and I started caring full time for an elderly family member, which meant relocating to a much smaller home where I no longer have the luxury of a work room or garage, but I also did not want to give up working on, tinkering with, refurbishing things. Enter the 52 inch long by 18 inch deep, 10 drawer “Work Cart”. I selected this particular model because it has an adjustable height work surface. This means when I’m doing some detail work I need to be close-up and personal with, I can raise the top to a comfortable height and when I’m working on something secured in my vise (which is coming!!!!) I can lower it to an appropriate height. NO MORE BACK PAIN as payment for my hobby! I did opt to have Home Depot deliver it (about $100 to have it delivered to my door) and am glad I did. She weighs in at 300lbs. That’s a bit much to load into my truck and then off load and get to my door by myself – and if I hired someone to help, probably would have cost me about the same, not to mention the time to go and get it, load it, drive it home and unload it (I live a little over 30 minutes from the nearest Home Depot). Assembly consisted of attaching the heavy-duty casters and the handle. While the drawers do not fully extend, there is only about ¾ of an inch left when they are fully open. Each drawer is rated to 75lbs and the entire unit is rated to 1000lbs. It has 2 short, 2 medium and one deep drawer on each side. The long drawers are 29 ¼ by 15 ½ and the short drawers are 14 5/8 by 15 ½. Lifting the top exposes two additional storage areas, the one in the front is 49 ½ by 4 ¾ and the one in the back is 51 ¾ by 6 ½ the center area receives the structure holding the top and cannot be used for storage. It does not come with drawer liners, but Home Depot sells it by the roll – 18” by 100 feet for $10.00 a roll, you’ll need three which will cover not only the drawers, but the two storage compartments exposed by raising the top.

Let me start by saying I got a killer deal in this when they found it long after Christmas. Now that that's it off the away, I'm regretting waiting so long to buy one cause it was worth the full price. Plenty of various size drawers for the large collection of mechanics tools I own. thInk drawers for sockets, a big deep or that holds my floor jack and jack stands. First time I've ever had all my tools in one place and the difference that makes in completing projects is amazing. Three months ago son number two wanted to remove the running boards from his truck - took us about an hour and a half, most of the time searching through the four to boxes I used to use to find the various sockets we needed. Sin number one decided to take his off today - thirty minutes start to finish. Want hi on the crank up top originally but now I can get the work at the right level to be efficient and there a huge storage are for it duffs and specialty tools that only get used once in a while. The best thing about it is the lock - now i can keep my tools where they belong instead of wherever my three sons leave them.

I waited for a LONG time for my store to re-stock this workbench, but couldn't wait no longer. So, I ordered it online, and it was shipped to my home. This workbench is wonderful. Being as versatile as it is with a work table that cranks about a foot and a half or more, it can hold those long tools in the front and back cavity when the table is lowered back down. The reason you can't keep anything in the center cavity, is because the center table beam sets down in there. I mounted a large vice on the opposite end from the crank handle, and was able to even mount it to one of the table beams for more strength. But, I did have to drill a large enough hole for the bolt and nut to go through the front plate, so the table could go down completely. I hope the hole showed up in the picture. Wasn't that big of a deal either. I did repaint the hole after I drilled it out. You'll really like this Workbench.

Heavy, tough & well built. I used 2-3 rolls of protective matting in the drawers. Additionally, I've put a wooden board on top of the bench to protect the surface from epoxies/drill holes & other damage. I would have liked the option to put the handle at the other end & swich the castoring wheels around. Will be purchasing another!

A great addition to our garage! A neat, compact storage area for tools and equipment, very nice fit and finish, and steady as a rock. This intelligently-designed item saves space and money by having tools and workbench in one place. The only assembly required is installing the wheels and the side handle. Just have a helper, as it is quite heavy, but therein lies its strength. Just measure and trim the optional shelf liner, and you're ready to load your tools. We highly recommend this versatile workbench!

    Serious Heavy Duty
I have purchased two of these so far, I am going to buy two more today if I can find them. They are used in a light/medium industrial setting. Each of the drawers is holding well beyond their rated capacity. Tool blocks and chuck jaws used in a machine shop in the drawers, under the raising top are hundreds of pounds of carbide. You can't buy tool storage that gives you more value for the money.

    Love this workbench...
Delivery was on schedule and workbench was well-wrapped on a pallet. As mentioned elsewhere, the wheels need to be installed which is easy with two people, but a bit challenging with one. I'm old (70), but was still able, with a little creativity, to safely install the wheels. Workbench is now in its designated spot and I couldn't be happier with my choice. Industrial strength and good looking. Will surely be around and in good shape to be inherited by my heirs.

      Love It!
Even though I've done quite a few DIY projects and building around our 2 homes, this is the first actual work bench and tool storage unit I have used. So far, I'm very happy with it. The size is perfect--we have a 2-car garage and will easily be able to park 2 cars with it stored up against the wall. The black finish looks sleek, easy to clean, and durable. The wood top is a nice finish, although mine had a slight scratch on the surface out of the box (no matter to me, it is a workbench, after all, and I'm sure I will be adding more dings and scratches as I work on it!). The wheels are sturdy, with 2 wheels having locking pedals to keep it in place when you don't want it to move. The handle on the right side is long and sturdy, making it easy to move the heavy cart, even when it's loaded up with items. There is plenty of storage for tools and hardware, even a deep drawer that easily fits my 7" circular saw, drills, and jigsaw. There is a strong lock to ensure your tools stay in place when you're away from it. The table top extends upwards 10 more inches with a crank that is very easy to raise and lower. Once raised, the table top feels fairly secure, but it does have some movement to it so I would just be careful about what you put on top of it. It's a great addition to help organize my tools and supplies in the garage, and to have a work table to complete projects on.

Finally what i was looking for
Talk about a great storage / work bench solution for your garage. I have a one car garage so I was really looking for something compact, that I could still park my car in the garage, yet still have a great solution and work bench when I needed to get some handyman work complete. This is the winner!!!! First of all it is on casters so you can quickly move it around (it includes a handle which makes it easy to push left right, front to back) and the casters have locks in them so you can lock in place. The adjustable height wooden top is so cool - there is even extra storage in there! There are many reasons as to why you would need to raise the height whether you need more leverage to clamp something to the side of the wooden top or if you needed to raise up the top to meet the height of another workbench for a consistent height for your projects. The drawers are silky smooth and are deep, so you can fit all your bigger tools (and smaller tools in the top) . Overall i'm very very satisfied with this mobile workbench and it even got the approval of my designer finance who mentioned "it actually looks really good with that wooden top!"

      100% Garage Awesomeness
Functionality wise this tool box is great. The drawers roll out smooth an have different depths to hold various tools. The metal construction is strong. the top is made of solid wood and can be elevated. Elevating the top is easy using the removable crank handle that comes with it. The ability to raise the top also gives you extra large storage space for long flat tools. The ascetics are awesome and this toolbox is the envy of my neighbors. Not only does it hold tools well but it can serve as a nice place to hang out and watch the game in the garage. Installation: the only installation needed was to put on the wheels and side bar. Very easy

      Inovative Design
Receiving this delivery is not a one man job. The driver told me with the crate it weighs 370 lbs. Mercifully this work bench was delivered on a straight body truck with a lift tailgate so the driver was able to backup to my garage door. I've never received anything packaged as well as this unit was. It took me an hour to disassemble the crate and remove all the nails. Now I have a nice size pile of 3/4" X 4" project lumber. I know, I'm cheap, but I hate to waste good lumber. After removing the cardboard box, the reinforced cardboard corners and the Styrofoam, not surprisingly the bench was in perfect new condition. Some assembly required. Husky includes a 10mm X 13mm open end wrench. The side handle gets installed with four 10mm bolts. Next comes the 6" heavy duty wheels, two swivel casters with brakes and two fixed casters. The swivel casters go on the handle side. This puppy is 225 lbs. I didn't have a helper available but after raising the work top a little I was able to get a finger-hold and lay this on its back. Lay a board from the crate down first to prevent crushing a finger. Each wheel is held in place with four 13mm bolts and washers. That's it, you're done. This unit measures 52" wide by 38" high and at only 18" deep it tucks away nicely when not in use. The adjustable butcher block top is beautiful, much too nice to use as a work surface. It's made of Parawood, also called Rubberwood, and has a polyurethane protective finish. I'll protect it with a non-skid shelf liner and I'll probably line the drawers as well. The removable crank handle adjusts the top for a working height from 38" up to 48". The load limit for the top, when extended, is 300 lbs. With the top completely retracted the load limit for the bench is 1000 lbs. There are a total of ten drawers, of varying size, that all lock with a quarter turn of a key, two keys are included. Only when the drawers are fully closed will the key turn smoothly. The drawers have full-length glides and are easily removable for cleaning. The whole unit is powder-coated in a high gloss black finish so it should resist rusting and last for many years. The 3 year warranty covers all the mechanicals but no cosmetics.
