Misleading title
Beware, this gasket "for InSinkErator Badger & Evolution" did not fit into my Badger garbage disposal... and it is not even compatible with the Evolution series.

When changing this piece for your Disposal, make sure of the size needed. Could not use it, wrong size for current disposal.

It fit perfectly and that wasn't the problem. The garbage disposal was leaking internally. It's hard to differ between where the water is leaking from. This garbage disposal is not old and should of lasted a longer time. When you buy a disposal make sure the internal parts are stainless steel or galvanized. The disposal is a badger but I think it's the cheapest price and you get what you pay for.

If you're using an Evolution Septic Assist, the baffle compatible with it is the quiet collar sink baffle, which has a part number of 74653D for reference. Fit my InSinkErator 555ss perfect. Suggestion: Once the gasket is installed. Have someone pull up on the disposal inside the sink while another person turn the clamp back on. No struggle to get the disposal back in place.

It is mounted on the disposer and creates the seal between the sink and the disposer. We have several types of mounting gaskets made for specific models. Fit like a glove. Good seal. Works as intended. I originally bought the wrong diameter size, but once I dropped the garbage disposal and measured the diameter properly the product fit. Let that be a lesson not to assume the size.

The item fit and seems to work well. The only reason for removing a star is that this design requires the whole disposal had to be pulled out to put the gasket into place, rather than installing it on the sink side, like our previous disposals. Poor design for a regularly maintained item is a hassle.
