The buttonhole maker is why I bought this machine and it worked just wonderful! This machine is quickly spoiling me. It even cuts the thread! It is quiet and runs smooth. The instruction book is easy to follow. I have sewn thick fabric and thinner and each time, the machine does not hesitate. I have never had a machine that threads the needle, but this one does! I do not have to squint and still not get the thread through the tiny hole. I had no idea that the machine makes so many different stitches until I got it. I just did one of them and that came out beautiful! All in all, I am so happy that I purchased my machine. I had my previous machine for almost 40 years and was upset about getting a new one. I have never sewn on a Janome until I took this one out of the box. For the past one month, I have sewn on my new machine and this Janome has not disappointed me!

So far it’s been easy to set up and a dream to sew with! Loving all the cool features, like having the option to sew with either presser foot or with stop/start button (still getting used to that one!). Always had problems adjusting tension with old (much cheaper) singer machine and happy with Janome auto tension settings. (See difference in basic stitching as photo)

I had been using my grandmother's sewing machine for years. As I wanted to do more quilting I decided to purchase a new machine. Reviewed a lot of reviews on various machines and decided on the Janome Skyline after seeing a you tube video. And I am so glad I did. I love it. It is a great machine. Very quiet, great speed adjustments, love the separate bobbin winder with spool holder, and a great price. Highly recommend.

I simply love all the new features my new Jenome has! No longer do I struggle to see to thread the machine. The drop in bobbin is a pleasure and threading is so much easier. The cutting of the thread when I’m done sewing just blows me away! Yes I love my new Jenome S3

This is a great sewing machine Easy to use and thread and it’s very quiet!

This machine is awesome! I’ve patched a welted box cushion, sewn through multiple layers of upholstery fabric, and hemmed someones work pants so far and they all came out with such a beautiful stitches! The embroidery stitches are really pretty, the cat one is so fun. This machine can also hold my larger spoils of thread no problem! I’m in love!

I love this machine! It’s easy to adjust to and offers so much more than my old (very old) Singer.

I researched all and was amazed by this machine. Threader, cutters for both sewing thread and bobbin. Remarkably quiet and heavy duty. Manual and DVD explain features well. Far more advanced than I've used but well explained, pleasure to use. Highly recommend.

So far I am loving my Janome Skyline S3 sewing machine. Only thing so far that is confusing for me is me is when I want to buy a walking and free motion foot. I am not sure if I have to use a Janome foot, or if I can use one that says I can use an unbranded one that says certain pressure feet can be used on several different machines including Janome.

Just a fantastic machine!!!

A very nice machine, glad I finally got it. Took several weeks for order to arrive, but it was worth the wait. I'm not very patient when it comes to waiting.

The Janome S3 120 is an excellent sewing machine with lots of useful features. Larger workspace makes all kinds of projects easier. Highly recommend.

I love it this far...the only issue we had was the shipping and delivery timeline.

My wife Brothers sewing machine after 2 years just couldn’t cut it. Problems after problems one after another she finally gave up. Because of this corona virus situation she been sewing cloth masks for family and friends.That old machine could not keep up. I was in the middle of making Face masks due to COVID-19 when my 4th brother machine in 5 years broke. I did a ton of research and decided on the Janome skyline s3. I am in love with this machine and wish I would have switched years ago! Highly recommend it.

This sewing machine is great, would highly recommend to someone who want's a serious machine that should last a long time. It's easy to use, has a great stitch quality. This sewing machine is the starter for the Skyline series and works as well as the top of the series. Janome makes well made sewing machines, with confidence would say this is a great buy at a great price.

This machine is easy to use even a novice can use. No amount of attachments are needed to accomplish any task. Its light weight and the folded fabric cover makes it easy to transport anywhere. I have been teaching my daughter to sew and bring this machine to her apartment a lot. She sits at her machine and I at this one (they are not the same machines) and her at hers and do all the instructions from there. Some things just click. In the last month she has made masks for her whole family.

The Janome was a machine I was really interested in and the price was great.

This machine sews like a dream! Plenty of bells and whistles for a high end machine with a realistic price. I don't regret buying this and it has helped my piecework immensely! Having speed control and being able to move the needle is a huge help! The thread cutting button is great and I have stopped using the foot pedal! The start/stop button is fun! If you are looking for high end features on a budget, this machine is for you! Home Depot is an authorized dealer so your warranty stays intact!

After this sewing machine from a friend, I decided to buy my own. I love this sewing machine. It is amazing all it can do without being too complicated.
