Came with an adjustable depth nipple. But was to long. Returned it to Home Depot. An associate went on the Kohler website and discovered six different nipple lengths. I ordered the correct nipple from Kohler directly for $17.00. Getting the correct part was a big inconvenience but now I am very happy with the finished look and operation.

**Be ware of additional costs**
While the item is of high quality, you may need to PURCHASE an adapter to fit your individual installation. They range from $10-16 plus shipping, essentially making it a $40 item at the end.

Hi TC, my name is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear your supply elbow required you to purchase an adapter. If dimension between the finished wall and the elbow within the wall is between 1-13/16" (46 mm) and 2-5/16" (59 mm) you can use the included supply adapter. For any other dimensions, the appropriate supply adapter can be ordered. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please email our team at KohlerCustServ@kohler.com. Sincerely, Sarah B. Ease of installation :
These are nice yet require special plugs for the supply that are held in by 2 O-ring and a set screw. You will need an flange elbow and then if your wall spacing is very large you can build a backer stud to get the correct adjustment. The adjustment provided is very small of under 1/2 inch. I have not installed them yet I am building new wall so I can adjust and build it to fit.
It would be far better if the supply line was threaded and have a set of washers and nuts to make it tight to the wall and the set screw to adjust the angle and direction of placement.
The special fitting is designed so that you can tighten the fitting down and then place the head on with out fear of it not being in the correct aliment.
