Toilet sprays water on the lid and seat every flush. There is a hole directly inside the bowl that causes it. Our plumber thought it was a defect in the toilet because he had never seen a toilet like that. I went back to the store to look at the other toilets and they all have it. Im in the middle if trying to exchange it and its been a huge pain in the butt!! Dont buy!

This is an awesome toilet. I was concerned that there would not be enough water and when someone went number 2 it would leave skid marks... Plenty of water, powerful flush, quiet, comfortable and great design...I will continue to buy this one.

Nice toilet for the money. Perfect for a small bathroom. Perfect finish to my bathroom remodel. While the contest says show your product in action, I forego that part!! LOL!!

Installation went quite smoothly except for the part of attaching the tank to the bowl. The flat part of the rubber gasket can not touch both tank and bowl sides to make it more stable. I did not want to tighten screws further since the center part of the water path gasket is already pretty tight. I wish the rubber gasket can be better designed. To prevent possible leak, I add some plumbing silicone grease on the rubber gasket. One thing worth mentioning: this model does have a bit shallower bowl meaning the water line will be closer to the top of the bowl probably by half to one inch. I did not see issues. But other people might. Just keep that in mind.

Easy to install. Haven't had a chance to use it much yet.

Very easy to install and the double flush feature saves water but if you need an extra flush without using a lot of water or waiting for the tank to fill the double flush feature is there. The tank also fills very quickly and quietly.

Ships with undersized washers for attachment to the floor. Fender washers should be included, not the small (tin foil thin) ones shipped. Disappointed with the purchase and will now need to purchase a new wax ring and washers to finish the install.

We bought three today and my son installed them by noon. They are a more comfortable height, flush fast, and fill fast. My wife says they are quiet and, "all my friends have the comfort height toilets". The acid test will be to see if my grandsons can clog them up.

The Kohler toilet arrived in perfect condition. The box included everything needed (toilet, seat, toilet bolts, bolt covers, wax ring) to install the toilet along with instructions. The toilet flushes great, fills quickly and is easy to clean.

Great toilet. Cutting excess toilet anchor bolts is kind of a pain but other than that it's an easy install. Nice flush action. Looks great. Very happy with it.

Warning - Sloppy quality control. I purchased this unit on Jan 14, 2019 and planned on a simple 1-2 hour installation. The floor in my bath was retiled, meaning 1) the surface was very level, and 2) the closet flange was recessed slightly below the surface. Unfortunately the base of the Kohler K11499 toilet was NOT even. The base casting has several support protrusions that extended beyond the plane of the rim. In other words there was no way it could be stable on a flat surface. I spent the next two hours of trying to adjust, shim, and level; finally, I concluded there was no way to stop it from rocking. In desperation, I resorted to a hand grinder to whittle down the supports to a point where the thing would sit flat. Then to top it off, the wax ring provided by Kohler is the thinnest version available. That coupled with the deeply recessed base cavity meant that the ring does not extend past the rim of the base. In other words, it tucks high and dry up inside the casting and never touches the closet flange - totally useless. So that meant another trip back to HD to get a properly sized seal. I should have taken it back to HD, but I was already committed and there was no reason to think the next one would be a better casting. I expected more from Kohler... wrong again!

Nice toilet, and also nice that they carry both the elongated and round bowl so you can have all the same style/line toilets in the house. Many of the units we looked at did not have both elongated and round options. Toilet flush is pretty quiet for a low flow model, an does appear to consistently remove all the debris. Overall the toilet is nice, but the seat is something to be replaced. It comes with one, but it is not much to talk about, Plastic and no soft close, thus the 4 stars.

Kohler toilets are made very well. I recently replaced a 30-year old Kohler toilet with the Highline model for its height, new flushing "Aqua Piston" technology, and higher seating height (2" higher than the one I replaced). I also decided to try the new "No wax" universal flange seal ($7) instead of the traditional wax seals. After taking off all the old, gooey, wax seal and installing the new "No Wax" seal, I would highly recommend the new "No wax" seal. The directions are simple for any toilet installation and works perfectly!!! Wax rings can be messy and you only have 1 try to get it right. Also wax rings can leak with excessive plunging over time. The newer "No Wax" ring is the way to go. Installation of this toilet is relatively easy. Take your time, read the directions first, and follow the steps. Everything out of the box is pretty much "ready to install", including a matching toilet seat. The only part that was not clear was the installation of the tank to the bowl. The 3 screws and their rubber coverings were not completely ready. When I put the tank on the bowl, the screws were not long enough to secure a nut, I had to jiggle the screws a bit to get them to protrude so I could put on a washer and nut from under the bowl. Once I did this, tightening with a small open wrench pulled the rest of the screw into the tank for a proper seal. All-in-all, this is an easy install, the toilet looks great, no leaks on the first try, and the toilet flush is amazing. It only empties only about one-half of the tank to flush the toilet. I would highly recommend this toilet to anyone. It looks great and is a very good value for the money. In comparing this toilet to the Cimmaron model, I found no real difference except for toilet handle style and a slightly different tank design. However, the Cimmaron was $60 more than the Highline Classic model. Not worth the difference in price. Double "thumbs up" on this toilet. Very glad I purchased and installed it on my own.

This is a very good toilet - it is quiet, efficient, comfortable and saves water. The toilet seat, however, is a bit flimsy. I suggest replacing it with a sturdier one. Overall, even with the purchase of a new toilet seat, this is still a good value.

nice toilet, comfortable height, flushes very good with little water, i was able to put my more expensive toilet seat on this toilet. it took about an hour and 20 minutes to install from start to finish removing the old and getting this one finished, i bought a perfect seal wax ring adjustable worked great instead of the wax ring that came with it, easier and better wax ring. i am really happy with this kohler highline single flush toilet. a great value for the money and very comfortable. i would definitely recommend this.

The flush handle came loose. Plastic ring that holds the flush handle can’t be tightened. Bought this unit July/19/2018 from Homedepot. It was installed about a week ago. I was thinking to replace 2 remaining 2 units in my toilets with Model# K-76407-0 model. Now I will buy another manufacturer. So for no leaks or any other issue but I am disappointed because the unit malfunctioned within a week. Nothing but junk! I can't believe no one at the factory noticed a hole in the lid. The flush path has sharp pieces of porcelain sticking out, perfect for catching toilet paper. The glazing is very poor, and the bottom has excess material around the outlet hole, which would have to be ground off with a dremel and diamond wheel. I now have to pack it up and return it and buy a different brand. Kohler has several factories that manufacture toilets, including at least one in China. This one clearly says "Made in the US". I am so disappointed in this company.
