Hi Deborah, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm very sorry to hear water stains are appearing on your Kallan bath/shower faucet. Water spots are most of the time caused by hard water but if your water does not have a lot of minerals, the spots are likely being caused by salt in a water softener. To prevent water spots, we suggest wiping the shower dry after use. To remove them, you can use a solution of 50% white vinegar and 50% water. A 50/50 solution of white vinegar and warm water may also be used to remove hard water build up and water stains from a faucet. To clean, use a cloth or soft sponge with the solution to wipe the stains off. To help prevent water stains from forming, the faucet can be wiped dry after use. We put a lot of thought into our products, so it is unfortunate whenever we do not meet a customer's expectations. There are several things that can contribute to the flow issue, please ensure that both valve stops are open, if the trim and adapters are removed and the valve stem is turned clockwise to the open position is there cold water flow and the pressure from both inlets should be no more than 5 psi difference. When installing the spout, the tub needs to extend 4 3/8" - 4 5/8" from the wall. The spout should be slid onto the tub and tightened with the set screw.
