Kohler Wellworth Toilet Units
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought two Kohler Wellworth Classic toilet fixtures on their website about 6 weeks ago. Ordering process including actual talking with couple of Kohler customer service Reps for assistance was straight forward. Both reps were very friendly and helpful. The products were delivered very fast. The installation by a local plumbing service went smooth. The only issue was we had to replace a canister seal inside the tank on both of these brand new units as the original ones that came with the units were leaking. The customer service immediately responded to my call by mailing a new seal part as well as the entire valve kit assembly. I was very happy with their fast and hassle-free response.

Works well and is quiet.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this 3 months ago and it works great. It is easy to flush and have had no problem with anything staying in the bowl. It is relatively quite for a low flush toilet. It look great. The installation manual was poor which was why I only gave it 4 stars. We ended up having to reinstall it because we got the spacers in the wrong place. I also could not find the toilet, or any Kohler toilet, with an insulated tank at the 2 stores I looked at. So, I had to buy a different brand for the one in the basement which I wanted to be insulated. It does not work as good as the Kohler but I need the insulated tank in the summer.

So disappointed with this toilet! We have always had Kohler toilets and appreciated the quality of their products. We bought this toilet for a bathroom remodel and have been unable to use it from the beginning. The water in the tank keeps seeping out. The water in the toilet bowl stays fine, but when we go to flush the toilet, nothing happens. I've emailed Kohler, but heard nothing back. The mechanisms in the tank look nothing like what is in the old reliable toilets. Such a shame that they didn't stick with the old design.

I like the look and form of this toilet, and...
I like the look and form of this toilet, and I really like the flushing mechanism which is really a two-stage option. A quick push of the handle for half the water (for #1) and hold it briefly for more water flush (for #2). I had trouble with the supplies to bolt the tank to the bowl. They are poorly designed, trying to be fancy. I replaced it with a traditional bolt kit. It also did not come with a wax ring or seat.

Poor choice
Bought 2 of these toilets about 3 years ago. I hate them, I cannot stress that enough. I have to clean them all the time, at least 3 tom4 time’s a week. Nastiness gets caught under the rim and you have to practically stand on your head to see and scrub them clean. They obviously don’t have the water flow to wash things off when you flush. Do not buy this toilet, you will be very disappointed. Spend more money and get something better.

Hi Desk, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble keeping the rim holes clean. First, we suggest checking the clearance of the rim holes. To do this, add some bright colored food coloring to the water in the tank and swirl it around to distribute it. Flush the toilet and watch the rim holes during the flush. If water is not coming out of the holes, you can use a penny nail or end of a wire coat hanger to ream out the rim holes. Keeps leaking
We bought three of these toilets and had them installed in our home. Two of the toilets are working great, but one of them continues to leak. We have replaced the wax ring at least ten times. We have had all the plumbing replaced underneath the toilet also. We’ve had a plumber out and he looked at everything & couldn’t find any problems. I can’t believe how much money we’ve wasted on this toilet. I am very disappointed with this product. I would like Kohler to contact me so that we can remedy this problem. I would like to rate this toilet better than one, but for the amount of time, money, and frustration the ONE toilet caused, the rating is low.

This is the last purchase, of a total of 3 toilets, exactly the same model # toilet, purchased over months as we removed the 1994 era toilets we had in the house. This particular toilet is chair height. In my option a comfortable height for people in the 5ft 5" give or take. Tall people would like a higher seat, my option. Home Depot delivery, worked and delivery to the door in good shape. The toilets' came in two boxes that we could move with hand cart or with two people due to weight or odd shape of box. We had a handyman install the toilets, 1 toilet was missing the bolts. Quick run to HD to purchase (pre-Covid). The other no missing parts. I have been happy with how they have done their job, better then the toilets we had before.

Toilet was shipped on time and was the exact toilet that was ordered. Curbside pick up was efficient and fast. Toilet flushes well for only 1.28GPF. Convinced me to order another for a second bathroom toilet replacement.

The Wellworth Classic is a great toilet that's been around...
The Wellworth Classic is a great toilet that's been around many years, yet improved along the way. This current version has a reasonable 1.28 gal flush and uses an improved canister flush valve rather than flapper, making the flush more reliable every time. I also like that it comes equipped with a Fluidmaster fill valve. This is again, a tried and true, reliable component. Should it ever misbehave due to sediment, it's a simple matter to clean. Although many toilets come with a toilet seat, this does not. Pair it with Kohler's slow-close Cache model for a good look. If you're installing this yourself, try the Fluidmaster Set-Fast bolts. These are non-rusting, all brass and best of all, self-adjusting.

Never misses a beat, flushes great. They sure have improved low-water toilets since the early days! About half (or less) the cost of fancy imported toilets, it has worked very well for us.
