Stunning Sink & Faucet
This stainless steel apron front sink brilliantly blends traditional and contemporary design. The faucet handle has a soft curve that complements the lines of the sink nicely. I love the depth of the bin. I can have a number of pots, pans and dishes soaking all at the same time. Installation was very straight-forward. A few things I have noticed "performance"-wise: - It is hard to turn the faucet on low; the handle only needs to be moved ever so slightly, so I almost always get a much higher-pressure stream than I want when turning the water on. - The in-sink grate is a wonderful accessory. However, the rubber stopper feet leave stains in the sink that don't come up with other spots when I clean. I have not tried an abrasive cleaner, as I do not wish to scratch the metal. - The faucet tends to drip if the pull-down sprayer is not fully retracted and set (you turn the head slightly, and there is a click when it sets). All in all, these issues are fairly minor. I absolutely love the look of this sink, and functionally it meets most of my needs perfectly.

Not enough detail in specs...
This apron sink is beautiful. Shipped securely to my front door. Here's the con: this sink will not fit in the Kraftmaid 36" cabinet without entirely removing the front edges of cabinet. We ordered kitchen and sink through the Home Depot. Please include in your description this sink will need 3" spacers on each side even when installed in 36" cabinet. Stalled kitchen completion!

Best Sink Ever (if there is such a thing)
The sink is very solid. The insulated bowls really do help with making less noise. The grates at the bottom are very nice. They keep the sink from getting scratches and you can have a sink full of dishes and still get the bottom of the sink clean. The 10" bowl is awesome and the 60/40 split is the way to go. You can get very large pots in the 60 and still have enough room in the 40 for rinsing. Install Tips: Keep the plastic on the sink as long as possible to avoid scratches. Also you can not use standard sink clips. You'll need to place some 1x4's in the cabinet for the sink to sit on (see attached pic). Also there is no lip on the apron front. So the cut you make into your cabinet base will be visible unless you put in some scribe around the sink (see attached pic)

Not my favorite
The good thing: * Water flows nicely from this faucet. * It looks and feels like a quality faucet. The not-so-good-things: * When the faucet is pulled out, the retraction weight isn't good enough to get the faucet seated well. You have to assist. * Because the neck is curved, you don't get good distance with the faucet fully extended. I like to fill my coffee pot by extending the hose, but it doesn't extend far enough. * I worry when those unfamiliar use this faucet because it's set up backwards from other side handled faucets I've used before. With a right-hand set up, it's hot water when you pull forward and cold when you push back. * I wish it had a spray setting too.

Good Faucet
This pull-down kitchen faucet was easy to install. It has a good flow and the pull-down works well. It has a much smaller spray head than most, which makes it look more sleek.

this does *not* have a dual function spray head, as described
Before I get to my impressions on the faucet, I need to stress right at the beginning that the product description on Home Depot’s site is wrong, in a fundamental way. Hopefully the person approving this review will have this fixed. The description reads (in part) “For flexible functionality, this pull-down kitchen faucet features an ergonomic dual function spray head with an aerated stream and powerful spray.” This is *not* the case. The KPF-1622 pulldown head is single function only. I called Kraus and was told that for dual function, I should buy the KPF-1621, or other models. I asked if the head/pulldown hose from another model could be purchased and swapped out, but was told that they do not sell parts separately. This is quite annoying since I chose this faucet to replace an older faucet and separate spray hose, with the intention of *keeping* the spray functionality. I installed this for my tenants, who are now upset that I “upgraded” their faucet and took away the spray function. If this were not part of the Seeds Program, I would be returning it and getting a different model that has the functionality that was promised. So, if having a dual function spray head is important to you, go look at other faucets. If not, read on. Now, the product review: It’s a lovely little faucet. In fact, it’s so lovely (see the pictures) that it makes the rest of that sink look drab by comparison. If you’ve got an older looking sink, you may want to keep that in mind. The installation was a bit of a pain, but I attribute that more to the presence of the garbage disposal under this sink than to any design flaw with the faucet. In fact, the design of the screws in the locking ring is a major improvement over a standard nut that has to be tightened down all the way with a wrench (in an area that usually doesn’t have room to get the wrench at the nut). If you’re installing a faucet without pulling up the sink, that’s one less headache in getting the faucet to sit tight to the sink. However, the presence of a lot of tightly packed plumbing under the sink (see pic) means that the weight on the pulldown line has to thread it’s way past obstacles on the way up (if pulled out more than halfway) and then gets hung up on the way down (requiring reaching under the sink to free it). Again, not a design flaw per se, but a very real concern if your sink has any feed or drain lines that this weight may hang up on, or just bounce against repeatedly during use. So, all in all, a mixed bag. It’s a good-looking, durable, small to mid-sized single handle kitchen faucet. The lever can be mounted in any position (i mounted it left-side, for reasons, but could easily have done so in the middle or to the right). It’s got a 360 swivel, so if you it would also work for a center mount between a 2-part sink. The installation would have been a lot easier if there wasn't a disposal in the way, or if the sink had been taken up from the counter during installation. As mentioned, it doesn’t have the dual function spray. And if you have tight access directly below the faucet hole, you may find your weight for the pulldown line hanging up on the plumbing under the sink.

Attractive faucet
This faucet looks fantastic! All of the necessary parts came in the box... great start! Removing the old faucet took longer than installing this faucet. Installation is simple & straightforward. It took about 20 minutes to install once the old faucet was removed. All of the lines go through the center hole but a cover is included which will cover the other two holes, if your sink has 3 holes. The water pressure is very good. I have not had any problems with any leaks from the handle or elsewhere. Looks great!

Modern and Minimalist Faucet
Installation of this faucet was breeze compared to taking out the 8 yr old existing faucet, which took all day to remove the u-shaped mounting nut from the sink. The KPF-1622 took approximately 1.5 hours to install; however the installation time could be much less for experienced installers. The instructions and enclosed diagrams were clear and concise. I also liked being able to use just my hands, a plain wrench, and Philips screwdriver to install the faucet; I didn't need to use any special tools like a basin wrench. The drop-down installation feature with underside mounting nut is another plus - didn't have to finagle with u-shaped mounting nut obstructing installation to both the sink and the waterlines. The faucet came in an sleek black box w/ the Kraus design, which resembled a nice gift; in addition, the insulation of faucet packaging was quite thick which is vital to protect the faucet when the shipping carrier (i.e. Fedex, UPS, etc) decides to throw the package at your door step because it was raining. The faucet design is quite modern and minimalist in structure, with the chrome had a nice sheen without appearing gaudy and harsh; it also has nice weight to it as well - not a flimsy or an inferior product. The copper pipes were labeled for hot and cold, which is nice so there's no confusion on the waterlines; in addition the waterlines were also color-coded as well - red striped for hot and blue striped for cold. I also like how all the necessary but small parts (i.e. base, base o-ring, rubber washer, metal washer mounting nut, and mounting screws) were attached to the faucet in the packaging. The only minus I would give is that the spout turns 360 degrees, which I wasn't expecting; I'm not sure if this can be changed but it's not something that would deter me from purchasing the faucet again - I'll just have to get adjusted to it. Side note: For the open sink holes, I used 1 1/4" knock out seals - may not be for everyone but it suits me just fine - a little industrial added to the design scheme :)

A beautiful, durable and elegant Kitchen Sink.
The Kraus Farmhouse Apron Front Stainless Steel Single Bowl Kitchen Sink is a piece of Art and Elegance. Kitchen is the center of the house, and Kraus has made a great center piece with this new heavy duty 16-gauge premium grade T-304 stainless steel construction with an 18/10 chromium/nickel composition. It is indeed very much pleasing to the mind. The cutout template for a new counter top and drain connection was included. The new technology of Padded and stone guard undercoated insulation over a rubber pad reduces noise while sink and the garbage disposal is in use. After the installation, the inner dimensions of the sink is 27 inch wide and 16 inch depth; lot of space to use, and wash big pots. As a bonus, Stainless steel bottom grid, a Stainless steel basket strainer and Dish towel were included. Overall, a very nice and beautiful center piece!

I love this sink!!!!
We have had this sink since May and we love it!!! It is very deep and spacious. I have yet to find a pot or pan of mine that I won't completely fit down in this sink for easy washing and soaking (including big roaster pans). I love the grate included and I LOVE the little drain basket. We debated on a white or stainless steel sink - I'm glad we chose the stainless and this brand. When we bought this sink, the faucet wasn't included and I wanted to pick mine out separately anyhow so I can't rate the included faucet that comes with this. GREAT product!! Love. Love. Love. Also can't comment on installation as we had our contractor install it, but if you can install it properly or have it installed properly it will be the gem of your kitchen!

    We love our new sink!
The sink looks great in our new kitchen. If there was anything I would change about it I would design the bottom so it slopes to the drain more.

    Great product, not-so-great other materials...
My husband and I bought a fixer-upper a couple years ago after we got married, so we are pretty handy and decided to re-do our countertops and replace our sink and faucet this past weekend. We did a retrofit of our 36" cabinet to fit this 33" sink (our previous sink was a standard drop-in 1970s style at 33", and with the apron front on this one the full 36" Kraus sink would have fit, but looked cramped as it would be directly next to the dishwasher). The retrofit was surprisingly easy (we found a great Youtube tutorial for a similar sink by Kohler for ideas). We opted to leave the sink edge slightly higher (1/2") than our countertop, and are very happy with the look. We haven't used it much yet, as we finished late last night and need a part for the faucet, but I wanted to leave a detailed review on the things we've noticed from our work over this past weekend in case it helps someone in the future: Pros: - BEAUTIFUL sink, and the accessories we got when purchased as a set (grids, drains, etc.) are very nice and seem to be very good quality. Looks awesome with our brushed stainless appliances and fits right in. - Edges are great-looking all the way around (note that the back edge only goes down about 2", not the full height like the sides and front of the sink, but this was not a problem when installed). - Love the deep bowls and the sizes of each. - The sink was packaged securely in styrofoam that fit it very well, and it reached us in great condition. No crate as previous reviewers mentioned. - From our initial tests (have to finish the plumbing), it seems it will be relatively quiet when the water is running. - The rear-mount drains are great and gave us some space back in our cabinet for cleaning supplies - a welcome bonus! Cons / Things I hadn't realized from product info and other reviews: - Fingerprints show easily, but seem to be pretty easy to clean off as well. - NO INSTRUCTIONS! The 4-page leaflet was inaccurate (some drawings are correctly the 33" sink as marked, but interior shows 36" measurements instead?? Very strange. We got the correct one off Home Depot's website thankfully, but the one in the box was wrong!) The leaflet only shows some dimensional drawings and future care instructions, and just says to have it professionally installed. Um, okay. - NO hardware to secure the sink to the cabinet or anything else. We're figuring out how to do this ourselves, but thought it was very odd there is nothing included at all. We are using some basic bolts and washers to try and secure it, but it's a bit of a challenge due to the shape of the bottom of the sink -- very little to attach to! - The "cut out template" provided with the sink is a large piece of cardstock with rounded edges. Note that it is NOT the size of the full sink at all, but rather is only for under-mount installations and was therefore completely useless to us for over-mount or flush-mount installation types. The template makes no mention of the fact that it only fits the bowl sizes of the sink, and not the full measurements. No other templates were provided. We also felt this was a little strange, but the measurements and angles are very straightforward and we managed to cut our laminate countertops without too much trouble. Bottom line -- Very glad we bought this sink, and it absolutely seems worth the money. However, we wish the manufacturer had put a little more thought into their materials (besides the sink itself) -- definitely could have used at least some warning about the bad instructions, template and no hardware! I'm hoping that by writing this, some of the problems may be fixed in the future, or at least other buyers will know what they will get up front!

    Deep Apron Sink
I was looking for a quality apron front sink at an affordable price and this was it. I'm very happy with it so far. I like the strainer and wire bottom accessories it come with as well. Looks great and is pretty solid and not tinny. It is VERY deep, which I like, but fitting in a garbage disposal might be tricky, be sure to check the tolerances. We had a bit of a tough time fitting the piping in for the dishwasher.

    The best sink ever!
I absolutely love, love, love this sink. It is deep enough that water doesn't splash out easily. It has a strainer basket in one side that keeps food out of the drain. It cleans up quickly and looks amazing.

Love this sink! Had one in our previous home, and purchased it again. The large (33in.) single bowl is big enough to wash cookie sheets or large pots. Have had this current one for a few weeks. Easy to clean with white vinegar and baking soda.

    Infuriating
The water does not drain toward the drain. It drains to the four corners. Food from plates get stuck in each corner and with the grate, you can’t spray it out. It takes so much effort to get it all out and into the drain. A little testing would have been a good thing for this sink by the manufacturer. Good looking but it’s horrible to use. I wish I did not own this sink. I took the grate out permanently because at least without it I can push the food with a bush to the drain. Disgraceful.

Quality sink, dramatic looking & functional
We've had this sink almost a year and it's terrific. We were concerned given some of the reviews, but have seen no issues on our sink. You do need to make sure you use the grids at the bottom, and we do clean it weekly, but it's as beautiful as the day we got it. We like the offset look, it's dramatic, plus the larger side fits all our big pots and pans easily.

This is the worst sink ever. It does not drain easily so any scraps of food remain sitting in the sink. It scratches easily. I would not recommend it to anyone.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand your comments around this model’s extra deep modern designed basin, a feature for one person can sometimes be a hindrance to another. All of our sinks are engineered and designed slope along the base to help guide water toward the drain. A relatively flat sink bottom increases usable bowl space and allows dishes and glasses to be safely stacked. Please contact our customer service team at 1-800-775-0703 or customerservice@kraususa.com and we would be happy to review your concerns directly

          Everything I expected
This sink has lived up to my expectations in every way. It is a great size for my kitchen, quiet and easy to clean. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is that I think the included grid could be easier to clean. I think it should be made in 2 pieces so that it could go into the dishwasher. I may modify mine!
