Grey -Klean-Strip 1 Gal. Sprayable Remover and Stripper is a thin, convenient, sprayable product that works to remove most paint and coatings. We suggest applying this product in a thick coat while keeping it moist so that it does not dry out. Then allow time for the product to work before performing a test scrape Sealers often require different methods than stains, epoxies, or lacquers, which the sealer manufacturer could better address. I don't know if it was the spray bottle that came with the one particular can I bought, but the product won't spray through it and I ended up getting a bunch of the stripper on my bare skin and it burned me. I had bought three but did not open the other two due to my experience with the first opened can.
Do yourself a favor and just use the regular non-sprayable kind!

I used this stripper on a concrete patio. The patio had been painted a couple of times. I had to apply the stripper several times to get all of the paint off. It would start to bubble and I knew it was working. After scraping some of the paint, there were still small bits that were difficult to get up. I did a pretty good job but not completely satisfied with its ability to strip concrete. A different material I am sure would have been easier.

Works well on wood, not so good on painted concrete. I bought it for paint on both old wooden windows and cinderblock wall as it said it could be used on both surfaces. I am not sure the type of paint on the cinder block wall, but the stripper did almost nothing despite multiple apllications. It did however work decently on my wooden window sashes. The spray bottle is also not so useful as it leaks a ton.

Wasn’t having the best results with this stripper.
It takes off one coat at a time pretty easily, but having to reapply it often is kind of annoying.
Also the spray bottle really doesn’t work great, I ended up using a throwaway brush.

At almost $50- a gallon, I expected much more. ...
At almost $50- a gallon, I expected much more. "Sprayable" was the hook that made me think I could do a vertical surface. Product comes with a trigger sprayer & I bought a 2 different pump sprayers and none worked consistently enough to avoid frustration. Found no recommendations on the internet . So - save the extra $12 and get the original stuff.

horrid after smell
i was given this product in error by a home depot professional to strip paint from my deck ( they have been working with me to rectify the error) it didnt work btw. anyhow, now the issue that i have is that it has left a horrible foul odor that you can smell from my backyard all the way to the street, surrounding all of my house. The smell is beyond stomach retching. They have no clue at the moment how i can neutralize the smell. Does anyone have any idea what i can use to neutralize the odor that has apparently seeped into the soil beneath and around my deck.

Nicole, Klean Strip Sprayable Remover and Stripper is not made for use on decks (product is not to be applied to floors or any other large surface area). We suggest you use a deck stain remover.

While this product is convenient to apply, it has taken at least 3 applications in addition to multiple times sanding to remove the finish. The instructions state to wait at least 15 minutes after application before scraping the surface. While it also states it might require longer before scraping on some surfaces. After allowing the stripper to sit for longer, it only got gummy and no appreciable help in removing the finish.

JB, we are sorry the product did not work for you as labeled. When the product is applied with an even liberal coast to a small area up to 3 ft. x 3 ft. and left to work, it will remove multiple layers of latex and oil-based paint, polyurethane, epoxy, varnish, and shellac from wood, metal and masonry. We recommend test scraping a small area after 15 minutes to see if the finish is ready for removal. The best paint remover ever! Removed 3 layers of paint...
The best paint remover ever! Removed 3 layers of paint from my deck. The pate and liquid version of this product are surreal. No painter was interested to do this job and this product made it too easy for me to do! Highly recommend it.

However, without knowing how the product was applied, temperature, and how long it was left on the surface, it is difficult to determine why the product did not produce the results you expected. Sorry bottle broke within 1 minute. Squeezed trigger and the sprayer just collapsed. The product itself works good some paint started coming up in a few minutes. Needed to record in some areas though.
