I love this little pick. You never really know how useful it is until you get your hands on it. I used it most recently to install an alarm system where there were tons of little wires coming in and you need to grab a few or fish them around a little. It’s great for Ethernet wires and phone wires too. Any small wires in tight spots and this is the tool for you. Makes things so easy.

There are a lot of things that I need to pick away from other things. Usually crochet hooks in the larger size are made of plastic and aren't strong enough to do the job. This has a nice metal hook with enough strength to take on the jobs that I have for it. It has a few other things like the plastic like end that is suppose to pry open covers and be able to push wires back into the box.

This pick is very easy to use and can be used in tight areas. It slides easily into spots where electrical wires are so that they are easy to pull out. It is made of good, durable materials and is easily stored without taking up a lot of space. It is a must have for anyone needing to do electrical work. I would definitely recommend this item to anyone.

This tool is actually very useful. It has a durable plastic handle that insulated it. It has a hook for snagging small wires or fish tape on one end and a spurge at the other end for pushing wires back into the box box after connections are made. It appears to be well made, durable and comes from Klein, a company with a good and longstanding reputation for quality tools for the electrical and associated trades. This tool is no exception.

Great little tool. Comes in real handy when doing punch downs on cat 5 cable or similar type connections. Great for clean out any dirt or debris in the connector and positioning the wire to be punched. I even found it handy if you're running a new wire and need to sneak it into a cable tied bundles. Makes a nice opening to feed the new cable through without having to cut the old ties all away.

Great pick if you are regularly digging through patch panels full of twisted pair. The precise front hook is excellent for grabbing the exact small wire needed, and the rear hook is good for larger wires. Spludger end makes a good light duty, non conductive pryer / #2 flat head screw driver. Overall compact, slim design fits nicely in screw driver slots on tool belt. Definitely a must have tool when working in small spaces with lots of wires. Larger back hook accommodates wires up to 14ga without a problem. Overall a very handy tool.

This tool is 7.25" long. At its thickest point the handle is about 5/16" in cross-section. It is eight-sided with alternating flat ribs and a pattern that together ensure a good gripping surface. It is ideal for pulling, manipulating or tracing fine wires and can also be used to pick up bits of wire or insulation debris that may fall behind a populated distribution block. This is the perfect tool to deal with fine wires in restricted spaces. It sure beats clumsy fingers and hands that are all thumbs.

The Klein Tools VDV WIRE PICK is exactly what you need when working with wires. What I like about the Klein Tools VDV WIRE PICK is that is very easy to grip and manipulate when working in tight spaces. The hook end is small and precise when you need to grab wires and I even used this side to pull out a piece of paper that was stuck in my copier! The spudger end is also easy to use and I would advise keeping the original packaging so you can simply hang up this tool on your workbench.

The kit is great good price and quality

Its better than most that are available in stores. And it is a great tool. The problem is I have bought 6 of them in the last 4 months because the spring keeps breaking. And now that Home Depot no longer swaps them out to replace them, you have to go through the hassle of dealing with Klein directly, and you have to wait 4-6 weeks to get a replacement from them, once they receive the broken one. I just don't have that time to wait for replacements, i use it on a daily basis for work and need it.

Its works great never seen one before bought it anyway I love it.

Excellent product worth every penny

I really wanted to like this punch down based on my past experiences with Klein tools; unfortunately this item falls way short. I’m a commercial telecom technician that uses a punch down on a daily basis and after just a few months of regular use this tool flat out failed. I thought it may be a dud so I bought another... same exact results - within 3 months it was completely inoperable. The best part about this item is the pouch it comes with. Super disappointed.

The blade works exactly as intended.

The product appeared to be well-constructed, but I returned it shortly after buying it. I incorrectly assumed that it would be similar to other punchdown tools that I've purchased and include both cutting and non-cutting heads. This only included the ones that cut the wire, which wasn't suitable for my needs. If you only attach wires to a single post (rather than daisy-chaining them to multiple posts) then this will work just fine. I needed more flexibility than that.

The punch down felt good in my hand but when I went to house it not sure if my spring broke or not but the tool wouldn't engage so I ended up having to jab at the jack a few time in order to make a cut. I've used better punch down tool.

This is the nicest punch down tool I've used to date! Smooth operation with nice cuts every time. I may buy another as a spare!

Normally I'm all about Klein tools the hype was real when I purchased this punch... extremely dissatisfied with how cheap the blade is. I punched 450 paired phone cable 30 pair in and the blade was wore out and had an indention in the tip of it...

Good sharp blade. Punches hard and reliably. The hook is extremely handy.

Very comfortable grip and the tool works well. The case is nice, lite and fits the product well.
