Great product, worked as advertised!

Simple, quick test to be sure your pairs line up. Small size & price lets you keep one in each tech bag.

I bought this tester for a project at my house where I installed Ethernet wiring throughout the house. I used it to test my final connections between two points. Being my first time terminating Ethernet, I thought it wise to invest in this tool to verify my work was done properly. I'm glad I did! It helped me confirm that I had everything pinned out correctly and displayed a message of "pass" on the screen when evrything was correct. Helped me quickly identify if I had a problem somewhere, which I did a time or two. Well worth the $50! As other reviewers said, it works quickly too. Seems well built and durable too. I plan to make patch cables next, and plan to use it to verify that they will work. I opted for his model, versus the more expensive Klein models, since I only needed to use it on Ethernet wiring. My only tip for use is that you need a spare patch cable (not included) if you need to test a female connection, so that you can connect the remote or the tester to it. I highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to test their wiring installations, or to test existing wiring.

Used this when re-wiring office - very handy, portable, and always accurate. I recommend this tester for small offices and home use!

Worked like a charm. Told me I had 2 bad wires/connections. Replaced connection and the cable is working fine now.

This is old type,the function is OK, but this display is not good,have dificult the see the digits ,the new type display is good.I think the manufacturers know the display issue.

very friendly to used

Great little tool but the battery pops out of place once in a while.

Needed this to check the right wiring for the cable on my boat radar. Worked perfectly. Rugged design and more importantly it told me which wires went to each connector.

Works great right out of the package. Found problem quickly. Would recommend

Good and economical LAN cable tester.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a tool that can do the job of more than 1. This tester will test continuity, tone mislabeled or unlabeled cables, and it map. The rubberized grips make it easier to hang onto and adds some protection. Any technicians that have done this for long has dropped their mod- tap only to watch it shatter into many pieces upon impact. I have knocked this off my ladder once, granted it was only 3-4 foot drop. It was not harmed in any way. The toner wand has the same type protection. The wand is very loud with decent batteries and if your work area is still too loud you can use standard earphones. The wand antennae is removable so it doesn't get broke in your tool bag or box. I have been a comm tech for 15+ years and this continuity tester is the best Ive ever owned. I recommend it to the new coworkers and try to convince the experienced ones to switch. It is well worth the money because it will outlast any of the others on the market.

The tester is easy to use and point to the problem I was trying to address. I recommend this product.

Excellent for the price. Obviously this is not a high end tester with all the bells and whistles but for the price is very nice. Easy to use, intuitive interface, and has helped me troubleshoot some previously installed wiring in my house.

Does a lot for the money. Wish it had an actual built in Tone Generator instead of having to buy a separate device to use in conjunction (the tool does have the capability, but not on its own). Also, better detailed instructions would have been nice for the novice.
