Q:I just used them twice for a plumbing diy at home and after a few months when I want to use them again, it's rusted. I am not sure if this is normal.

    Answer This Question

A:  No, not normal. Package states, "Rust Protection." Have used mine for plumbing and tossed in bag without any signs of rust. Would guess the condition was right, water chemistry, etc. for surface rust to develop. Contacting Milwaukee directly would be best

        Answer This Question

A:  Definitely contact Milwaukee. As package states, "Comfort Grips WILL NOT PEEL." Milwaukee, likely Home Depot too, will replace the pliers. My experience has been they stand behind their products.

A:  You have 3 options. You can contact Milwaukee and send them back for replacement. Ask Home Depot if they will replace them. Or do like I did and take the handles off, clean them good inside and out then use some really good glue to reset the handles. I've been really happy with the the results, just make sure you use very good glue.

It's better than a lot but falls short.
I purchased these online on Augt 15th-22 and received them on the 17th. 4 months in and they are binding up on the lowest (smallest) setting as they close. It will be smooth then about a cm before close you hit resistance. Then it snaps shut. Super easy to pinch your fingers, happens all the time in small spaces. And they are starting to rust. I'd be surprised if they made it two years before the trash. Milwaukee is the best at a lot of things but pliers aren't it.

I won't buy this design of this product ever again
Man, I hate to say that I am an avid and loyal Milwaukee user and fan, but in regards to these pliers, I must say they are unfortunately some of the worst I have ever used! Truly, in comparison to the biggest competitor of yours, I even went and bought the 3 different size and very displeased with them all. As an electrician, the design of them to be able to use to ream emt, but I will not agree with they are good for this. Truly, truly disappointed in this product, as is the same from fellow electricians.

Great texture to the teeth of these straight jaw pliers. They allow a sure grip on the surface of what ever you are working with. The channels lock the jaws firmly in place and adjust easily.

The simply the best for plumbing!
I just got my hand on a set of this two combo. They will replaced my old Channel lock brand. I did not want to continue with Channel brand because a few times they locked on me several time; specially the small ones. I do not have time to be bothered with trying to unlocked them every time it did happen. Milwaukee brand they are great and they have extra uses built-in that will save me time while plumbing.

Great overall quality. Excellent when working with EMT and all around jobs where you need slip joint pliers. Only thing I would change is a more aggressive cut to the teeth for better grip. Other than that, these are perfect.

                                    Milwaukee 12" Pliers
Grabbed these because I couldn't find my primary pair of large pliers and I'm glad that I got these. The grip is great. I used these for ripping up some carpet, pulling carpet staples, pulling up adhesive strips, and some other odds and ends. I haven't been disappointed yet. They are comfortable in my hands and provide great leverage for pulling and removing material. These are now my go-to overs despite having found my missing set.
