Easy to install. fit exactly where I needed it to. No locksmith required to turn all your locks into the same key. Well made and clean finish. Love the shape and minimalist details of this piece. Great for the artful modern home. Would definitely buy again

I have had good luck with Kwikset knobs and locks in the past, and this was no exception. It feels very well built and secure and was easy to install. I have not had a chance to try out the SmartKey feature, but I am intrigued by it and plan to try it. Essentially you can rekey the deadbolt to work with another existing key you have, allowing you to match your locks to the same key yourself.

While I'm an experienced DIYer, I assure you, just about anyone could install this deadbolt. Fit: Excellent fit right out of the box. I didn't have to adjust the fit at all. Security: This is a very secure deadbolt. No issues or concerns there. Look: I like the aesthetic of this deadbolt. It looks great, but it's simple. SmartKey: The SmartKey system works just fine. No functional issues at all. Bottom line: This is a solid deadbolt that's super easy to install. Recommended 5 stars

This design is so clean, precise, and simple. Installation was so easy. If you follow the instructions this will be a fast process. This Kwikset deadbolt product is quality made, just as expected. I have a feeling this will last for years.

I've always thought we should have a deadbolt on the garage because you can never be to secure. It looks nice, and adds an extra layer of protection.

The smart key allows the owner to change the key pattern especially if you want it to match with the rest of the locks of the house. It is a very nice feature to have and the deadbolts also looks good.

I wanted a low profile, sleek look without the bulky look my parents had when I was growing up. My husband said it was easy to install and fit great into the hole already in the door. It looks great with my new door knob. Was tricky at first to key it to match my old keys but i figured it out with the help of YouTube. Instructions weren't as helpful. But I love it!

The added security from the long screw option on this lock helps me to feel even safer in my home. The set up is like most door handle installs. A bonus for this lock that I like, is the ability to re key the lock if I need to. A great by for the look and added security.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just installed the Kwikset Uptown Deadbolt in Matte Black on my door leading from inside the house out to the garage. The piece of hardware is very solid and was fairly easy to install. It has a contemporary look to it. This deadbolt features a half-inch projection off the door and a substantial lever to turn the lock. It is meant to be used on exterior doors with a keyed entry. It also features something called SmartKey Security which protects against advanced break-in techniques and allows you to re-key your lock yourself in seconds. We have not tried this feature yet but it sounds good. It seems like a very well made product and functions smoothly. It comes with a lifetime mechanical and finish warranty.

I was expecting the typical quality of a deadbolt, but this one has a higher end finish on it. Installation was easy and took about 10 minutes. The adapter plates included makes sure you will be able to use it on almost any door. The low-profile face looks much more sleek than the bulkier ones sold at the home stores. If you want a classier look with the same reliable security features, I recommend this one.
