This fridge makes me question lgs quality.
Have had refrigerator for 5yrs now. 2 compressors and now a water leak from the ice tray area damaging my floor.... this has to be the worst fridge ever designed. Honestly I own 2 lG CX tvs and the quality here makes me wonder longevity for any of their products.

    Not our favorite
    Nothing is made like it’s intended to last more than a week. The ice maker seal is crap and so the ice is always clumped up in the dispenser. The door shelves are not durable at all. We have already broken one with two grown children at home. It is NOT print proof. The whole set always looks like garbage because we don’t wipe it down every time we touch it.

      Almost perfect
      Almost everything is perfect - ice maker works as advertised and when the ice does clump a bit, its easy to break it apart and all is well again. Temperature settings are on the money and the frig seems to be quite efficient. Only one issue we've found - shelf adjustability could be better - the shevles must be at the same position across the width of the refrigerator which makes some shelves to narrow for tall bottles. Also the shelf depth means a lot of food can be stored but its behind others so it can easily be overlooked.

        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this fridge in early 2019. In 2023 the compressor failed. LG repaired and the refrigerator and replaced the compressor at no charge to me. The fridge has functioned very well since the repair. I am very impressed LG. The process was cumbersome and took about 1 1/2 months to complete but we'll worth it!

            Wonderful Refrigerater But..........
            I have had this unit for several years. I functions well, but the ice maker and dispenser has never worked right. We have had numerous service calls about the problem but it continues. the dispenser jams and I have to take it apart to make it work again. Hopefully they have preconfigured the unit for later models.

                [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this Frig two months back. It is an excellent frig and has large capacity The door shelving provides enough room for all our needs The veggie drawers and the extra wide pull out shelf provides. More room for eggs, etc. Cold water and hot ce dispenser work as designed The frig is extremely quiet and the compressor comes with a 10-year warranty

                  Refrigerator is not cool enough
                  have had this refrigerator a week, and cannot get the temperature below 38.5 degrees. It spends most of the day over 40 degrees, and this is before we have loaded any significant amount of food. A technician is coming to check it ( 5 day wait for that), and if he can't fix it we will return it. Disappointed because it was a replacement for an LG fridge that failed within warranty. I like the space and design, but it the optimum fridge temp is 37 degrees we are not getting there.

                    Good when it worked
                    Less than 5 years of operation and it’s dead. Most of major systems replaced, ice maker stopped producing ice lot of times, finally developed a gas leak that couldn’t be repaired. Salesman told us we’d be lucky to get 5 yrars. Didn’t. No more LGs for me without drastic improvements

                        The tech was at my house on time, as scheduled. He came in look for the new parts and proceeded to do the repair. In a few minutes he had the old parts removed and installed the new ones. After activated the water to the fridge, he checked for leaks inside and behind the fridge and completed the job. In and out in a heart beat.

                          Loved this model so much I bought it for two different houses. Second model has had ice maker problems but otherwise love it.

                            Great features.
                            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this LG since Sept. 2020. We love the side by side features and the freezer. The bottom line is it's extremely independence. We don't know if it's going to run for 3 weeks or 3 months. We've had 3 compressors installed. The last tech put a large scratch/deny in it when it was moved in/out against the countertop.

                                    Very poor service. Ice maker has never worked.
                                    I bought the fridge & ice maker has never worked. Notified company & their action was telling me to go on their website & search for solutions. I am very disappointed and I’m not happy with this fridge.

                                      It's good. A part had to be replaced after 5 years. And the ice machine and water dispenser stopped working after 1 year.

                                          Worst purchase ever. Two years into the purchase I’m on the second compressor and hundreds of dollars on spoiled food. Repair technicians have been to my house a dozen times. Is there a lemon law on refrigerators? There should be.

                                            Great fridge with wonderful features.
                                            [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy I bought this fridge, however being an open box purchase it didn’t come with a water filter and Amazon products say they have some to fit, but they didn’t work and I had to research other options. I find that the flap on the left door doesn’t always catch causing the fridge to run constantly. I will call for service to look at this - possible adjustment needed ?? Very hard to find a water filter on line that actually fits this fridge.

                                                  Nice fridge though slightly annoyed
                                                  This fridge has great space and overall has very good features. I bought it because the water and ice maker were only on the door and the rest of the fridge and freezer are wide open. There are two things that keep me from thinking this is the perfect design. 1) There is a large glass main shelf over the two produce drawers. At the back of the shelf is a slot that receive a plastic piece that runs along the back of the fridge. My shelf keeps shifting forward ever so slightly and falling off the back track. The shelf then bows under the weight of the items on the shelf. There needs to be some sort of snap\clip to keep the shelf firmly in place. I may need to add some tape to keep it from moving around, which is a bit disappointing. 2) This one is very nit picky, but I wish the deli drawer was slightly taller. We put a lot of our random stuff in ours and a large tub of Philly cream cheese is about a centimeter or two too tall to fit in it. An alternative would be to use the shallow shelf on the right door, but it is way at the top and the kids can't reach it. If one could rearrange those shelves (you can't) and put the small one at the bottom, it would also solve our problem.

                                                    I would give it a zero if I could
                                                    I have spent a lot of money getting this 2 year old refrigerator repaired, unbelievable. AND it is still not working properly. At this point I may just trash it and buy another brand, not sure what to do. It was brand new when I bought it. DON'T BUY IT

                                                      [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] All the tape on the veggie drawer was not removed and I couldn’t open the drawer. I ended removing the glass shelf to reach and remove the tap to free the drawer. The refrigerator has good after that.

                                                        LG French door 28cu ft fridge is great
                                                        [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the fridge in September and installed in February (kitchen remodel fell behind). Fridge was easy to move and install. Great space and very versatile with shelving format. Door has cracked in the first month of use. We called into LG and customer support had a repair company out same day. New part was ordered and installed in a week and it is good as new. Great support and a great product.
