This LG stack washer and dryer are pretty amazing. They have great up to date features and they are easy to use. The instructions are very clear and easy to understand. The tubs are very large and can hold my king size quilt with no problem. The front center panel is used for both the washer and the dryer. The washer does have a cycle modifier where you can adjust the wash size and soil and temperature of the water. They both connect to the internet with the LG thinQ app. It is easy to download and operate the units with. The do have a smart diagnostic which can tell you if there is a problem and how to fix it. The units are made together and are 6 feet tall, 261/4 inches deep and 27 inches wide. This is a higher end washer and dryer combo and it will spoil you and make you wonder how you got through wash day without them! The color is a great metallic gray color and is a nice change from the ordinary white color. The doors are made out of a tempered glass and even the washer has an internal light like the dryer!! So cool! LG got it right with this pair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed a new washer and dryer for a small hallway area and had trouble finding units that would fit into the limited space when my husband started looking at this LG model. It fit the niche we had and met all our needs. It is surprisingly intuitive in its operation. My 85-year-old mother mastered the controls in record time. The washer spin cycle works so well that our drying time is reduced by a third. The unit is well-balanced so any vibration is minimized. The control panel is easy to reach and navigate. We have not used the WiFi controls yet but it looks like a nice feature for more tech-savvy people.

The LG 27inch wash tower laundry center with 4.5 cu. ft. front load washer and 7.4 cu. ft. electric dryer is an impressive combination. Getting the two large capacity machines in a single unit makes an excellent choice for a laundry short on space. The washer has a stainless steel tub with plenty of room for good sized loads. The dryer tub is painted steel with plastic tumbler fins as a way to keep the cost down, but should not impact performance. The doors are both hinged on the left and open with the right hand. The controls are centrally located for both machines for an easy operation. The unit comes with ThinQ technology for connectivity with your smart phone. If you have other LG appliances, the same account can control them all. The app is easy to configure and connect to the device.

Very Clean Clothes, Gorgeous Tower!! This tower is beautiful ‘eye candy’ and our clothes have never been cleaner. It’s so amazing how the material now feels in our clean clothes that it’s hard to describe but they feel so fresh. Both the washer and dryer are quiet and it’s hard to hear if they are running or not. I love the center control panel which has several operational features and it is at the perfect height. The controls are easy to understand but if I need help there is a very detailed Owner’s Manual pdf file that I downloaded and there are ‘quick guides’ with suction cups that can be stuck on the side of the tower for reference. The tower has “Remote Start and Cycle Monitor” Wi-Fi so I can control the washer and dryer with my cell phone when I am not home. That’s an Awesome feature!! In fact, the washer and dryer send me text messages when they have completed their cycles. The washer does an excellent job of extracting almost all of the water out of the clothes and this shortens the clothes drying time which saves us energy costs. There is a small door on the bottom front of the washer to clean its drain pump filter. This helps to prevent flooding if the washer machine drain hose on the back of the washer gets clogged up with lint and hair. One of its best safety features is the “Flow Sense Indicator” that tells me when I need to clean out the lint that has accumulated in my dryer duct that extends up through the inside walls of my house to the roof. Cleaning my dryer duct of lint has always been a guessing game even though I try to clean it every 3-6 months to prevent the lint from catching on fire and to provide optimal clothes drying. We are extremely happy with all the great features and functions of this tower. Highly Recommend!!!

This LG Electronics 27 inch graphite steel wash tower laundry Center is everything I could have hoped for in doing my washing. It looks very sleek and contemporary and it works extremely well. It's very efficient and very quiet and has a great many features and functions. Nice blue lights come on that allow you many selections for washing and drying and it has a large capacity. I've even washed two sheepskins at once in it, with no problem. The washer is on the bottom and the dryer is on the top for easy access. The washer has a little lock sign that comes on when it's filling with water so you don't accidentally open the door. You can also program this from your phone to start your laundry when you're out of the house or if you are busy doing something else. It also has Speed Wash and wrinkle care should you not be able to remove your laundry from the dryer right away. I had a Teensy problem and both Home Depot and the manufacturer were awesome in handling it! I recommend both of them and absolutely do not hesitate to buy this. It's a great item and will make your life and your laundry doing so much more fun and easier!

This is our second LG washer / dryer set. This is our first washer / dryer stackable unit. We performed a DIY install and operation of the LG WKE100HVA including building a customer enclosure area (see VIDEO). When the unit arrived, the delivery folks were professional. They put it in the garage as were a few days from finishing the enclosure. We removed a garage wall and added a washer area, AC outlets for washer and dryer, hot and cold water inlets, drain and dryer vent into the ceiling and outside. The rest of the area was made into a doggie wash basin. Lots of work by DIYers. All good. We had some snafus with a hidden tripped GFI in the garage and a 30 AMP breaker that didn't have an auto bar. The box barely fit under our door to the laundry room. We could not tilt the box as it would be taller (hypotenuse of the box is longer). We had an appliance giant slider which was great. We unboxed the unit, found the instructions and reviewed them. We followed precisely. We used the rear vent so we didn't need to mess with side vent installation. We attached the dryer electric wire with four prongs. Remember to keep the unit's ground and the wire ground together. The wire ground attaches to the frame. All simple enough. We added a new hot and cold water line and labeled the hot line. We added the drain pipe U frame and connected all three water lines with a tie wrap. We tested the water. Check. Then we test the electric lines, check. We pushed the unit into place with some smaller floor sliders. We had to drop the back right of the unit as that part of the floor was higher. The LG washer dryer comes with a multi tool for taking off moving nuts and leveling the unit. Very clever. Next we installed the LG ThinQ app and followed the directions to connect to the washer / dryer (It has a built in access point and SSID that can be activated). We gave the unit our home Wi-Fi SSID and password and it was connected. Both the washer and dryer units have similar programming techniques. There are sets of pre-programmed buttons, such as Normal, that have settings for temp and spin, etc. You can override settings by selecting timed. See video again. You can also select from one other predefined setting and download it to the washer or dryer. Then simply push that Downloaded button to run that setting. The unit can also be controlled from the app, but only for one run. I am not sure why this is limited. The beep can be turned on or off. The app also receives notifications on unit times, errors, etc. This is convenient to know when the washer or dryer is finished and you are somewhere else - you don't have to go to the laundry room each time. Once you get used to the device and app operation, it is easy. The units have very large tubs inside, the washer being stainless. They can wash a lot of clothes. I noticed already that the drying is much fast than our old units. For a DIY project, it wasn't too bad. Three of us got the job done in about two hours. That included install and learning how to use the washer, dryer and app. Good product LG.

This LG ELECTRONICS 27 IN. WHITE WASHTOWER LAUNDRY CENTER WITH 4.5 CU. FT. FRONT LOAD WASHER AND 7.4 CU. FT. ELECTRIC DRYER is the most convenient unit I have owned in the past 8 years and the technology just keeps on improving. This washtower is replacing and older LG unit and with a little cabinet reworking and tweaking, I was able to fit this gem into my laundry room in no time. The units build quality is consistent with previous models I have owned and LG's reputation as a leader of innovative features is why my family continues to use this line of premium washers. In the past 8 years of LG product ownership, I have never had one service call by making sure I followed the manuals operation and care recommendations. I would like to offer a few helpful tips to consider when comparing this unit to other washers and brands. 1. My clothes have always come out clean using an LG front loader washer. They never smell musty and are never left soiled. 2. I have never had a mold issue with an LG washer. The allowance allowed to prop the door open (see pic) is adequate to allow airflow around the seal and the door does not protrude into the walkway. A simple wipe is all that is needed. 3. The clothes are always spun out extremely well reducing my dry time. This is the efficiency of a front load washer. They are designed to run longer at low energy usage, use less detergent and spin clothing dryer to reduce energy costs. Give this technology a chance and you will be happy with the savings in operation costs and it's effectiveness. 4. The sanitize and steam feature is a must-have for homes with children-especially for those sick moments. Moms will appreciate these features the most. 5. The unit is very quiet and with young children in the home, this is a plus. The unit is also quiet enough for use close to entertainment rooms. 6. These units are heavy and stay in place. This is not your mom's old top loader walking all over the place that needs constant attention. These units will self remedy most unbalanced loads on their own. 7. The lighted drums are a nice feature and can be accessed while the unit is in operation. 8. LADIES: My wife is 5 ' 2" and this unit is perfect height to load the dryer. The center controls are brilliantly laid out. Bravo LG. They got it perfect with this combo unit. My wife is very pleased. 9. The unit offers more features than you will probably ever use. That is the truth- but it is nice to have extra features if needed. 10. The gold trimmed glass door on this new LG washtower design is more flat, allowing more laundry space. Very helpful in tighter laundry rooms. The glass also adds more sound deadening properties. 11. The blue controls and drum lights incorporated in this unit are a talk piece in one's laundry. Simply awesome and very visible. 12. The quick start guide is helpful and can be attached to the side of the unit for quick access. Great for the men in the home. Cool! 13. The doors are not reversible but not a deal breaker. They do open with a wider range than most front loaders and allow adequate access. 14. The end of cycle melody can be turned off. Nice touch here LG. 15. Finally the unit has proven patented motor technology that is superior to all other brands. Google this tech-you will be amazed. LG has once again outdone themselves with the many features and innovations built into this quality machine. As a long term LG owner, I highly recommend this unit if it is in one's budget. You get what you pay for and more with this unit. Not to mention a long lasting and low maintenance unit. A very nice product!

"Beautiful Machine!", first comment out of the box. Unit is 27"w x 30 1/2'dx74"tall. Control panel is in center for easy operation. Many features. We love front load for capacity and ability to wash blankets. Also find these type of washers much gentler on clothes and more ecological. Our only caution is regarding the combo unit moving precautions. There are" no tip warnings" on box which compromises maneuverability. Recommend considering seller installation to maintain warranty. Contractors currently back logged

Great space saving wash TOWER! Full of features from a 16 minute Fast Wash to another that takes almost two hours to complete! Leveling wrenches, gas leak test kit and other hardware was provided to ease the installation. The one big box appears daunting when it arrives but it was actually quite easy to move around and set in place. The one goof was the gas line kit included was for a stove and not for a dryer. We simply sourced the correct one. We also found that this unit has an INTERNAL "Y" connection for the "steam" function in the dryer and an external "Y" hose was not needed, but provided. All and all, installation was easy and our first wash and dry was excellent!

This is our second set of LG washer/dryers. As you can guess, since we bought them again, we are more than happy with the quality of these machines. Installation was straightforward. The installation is extremely well documented in the Installation Manual. Maneuvering the unit is a just a touch more challenging than traditional separate units, but even on a regular dolly (not an appliance one) there were no problems. Pros - huge capacity for both the washer and dryer; controls seem simpler than on the separate units, but there are no features that we feel are missing; having the single set of controls in the middle of the unit is huge (as opposed to reaching up to control a stacked dryer; the unit is incredibly stable, even with both the washer and dryer running; the amount of space we saved in our rather small laundry room is incredible!. Con - reaching down and into the washer is a drag. We had our previous LG washer on a pedestal drawer which made loading and unloading very easy. That said - this con is very minor as compared to all the pros of this fantastic unit. Highly recommend.

This is the nicest appliance I’ve ever had. The tubs are huge. The options are many including steam. It runs quiet and got my cloths really clean. It has a pleasant signal when a load is finished. Home Depot was great. They sent men to deliver that knew how to hook everything up for me. They were professional and setup was quick. They even tested before they left. You will not regret this purchase.

So far, after doing 4 loads of laundry, testing different settings and doing different types of laundry, I am impressed with it all. I have had it for 2 weeks now and have not found anything I don’t like about it. I can’t wait to get the new cabinets installed to finish off the laundry room remodel. So much more space!!

The replacement laundry center is still working okay after about 1 month. The capacity is what I like about the machine - both washer and dryer.

This washer dryer combo was pretty nice and convenient for us and bonus, it was on sale. It was working great until the 13th month of ownership. That's right, right after the warranty expired, it started to sound like a jet engine when it would spin. Sure enough the main gasket and rear bearing failed. No-one has just those online, so it was a complete drum replacement. The drums cost almost 500 from LG. So my great deal is now not so great a deal. Should have bought US made Speed Queen.

The washer and dryer are nice. The dryer doesn't dry on the same setting as the washer though. I wash on medium load and have to dry on heavy. But it's nice to have a stacked pair. Makes enough room in my laundry room. They weren't allowed to hook up the washer because the valves in my house weren't right. Couldn't hook the dryer either because the vent didn't go straight to the outside. So they dropped it off in my laundry room and left. Wish I knew ahead of time. Must be a secret.

Buyer beware. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I bought an electric LG wash tower. I had a 240 watt plug installed, and I found out that I didn't have enough circuits on my circuit board with an electric oven and heating system. I had to pay $6,000 for an upgraded circuit board. The Home Depot delivery people left the cold water valve turned off, and they left the dryer vent disconnected because of a grounding issue that was giving them shocks. An upgraded circuit board solved this problem. The dryer's energy saver mode, the default setting for normal, starts without heat, and clothes do not dry. Clothes and sheets needed more than one cycle to dry on every setting until I discovered the dryness setting. The very dry setting on heavy duty dries clothes and the very dry setting for bedding dries sheets well.
