Good quality reel. No problems.

A good sturdy unit. Better than those crappy plastic ones. The materials appear to be first class and the reel winds easily. The only complaint is the way the hose attaches to the reel. It attaches at an awkward angle that does not allow the hose to feed into the reel well.

I ordered this hose reel a few days ago. The only assembly was putting on the handle. I'm not mounting it on the house so I also installed the rubber feet. The powder coat on the reel looks pretty thick, which I hope will stop the rust for awhile. I have a couple issues with this reel. The first was the frame the holds the reel was spread too far a part causing the reel to move excessively between the frame. This caused the handle and the water connection to rub the frame when reeling the hose in. Rather than take it back, I took the reel off and made an adjustment to the frame and reassembled it. Works pretty good now. For 76 dollars I probably should have returned it rather than re-engineered it. The second issue, which might not bother some is the leader hose is a little too short and is a really cheap grade of hose. That hose will definitely not last long.

The reel would fall off the hose connection every time I would unwind the hose because it is only connected by a couple of threads. Buy the 709 model instead since it works fine

Am replacing the same like Liberty Garden Hose Reel, which is 8 years old. Received the new hose reel but it's defected. Word of advise is check out hose reel before installing onto wall.... Am waiting for new shipment to arrive.

well made & easy to install

Works great, no complaints.

Easily holds 150' hose. Well built.

I have had a Liberty hose reel for 19 years, it didn't start leaking until 6 months ago. I could of gotten the repair parts, but new is nice.

Reel works as designed. The only issue is the side play on the spool could be tighter to keet the handle from hitting the frame when reeling. Other than that it works great.

I got tired of replacing plastic wall-mount hose reels every few years so finally spent double for all metal construction. With brass fittings, it looks like it will last a lot longer. See my follow up review in a couple years to see if this is so...

jUST WHAT WE NEEDED- A GOOD BUY

Very strong, well-made reel. It holds 200 feet of stainless steel garden hose, and winds smoothly. I'd buy it again.

The quality of the metal design is very good however it would only hold 100 foot of the good quality Home Depot hose. The sealing ring between the Tee and the reel leaked bad and had to be tightened to the point of squeezing the rubber sealing ring almost out. Perhaps 200 foot of a small gauge poor quality hose that kinks would fit on this reel. The short hose segment of hose that came with the reel is a good example of poor quality hose. Even with no pressure on my hose and careful reeling up to ensure even coverage I could only get 100 foot of hose on this reel. Also the design requires the hose to be hooked up outside of the reel and the hose must go through the spokes of the reel before reeling the hose making it difficult to reel the hose evenly. I am back to the drawing board to find a quality hose reel that will hold 200 foot of good quality hose.

The reel comes with a short hose that connects to the outside faucet. When I turned on the water, the hose dripped around the connection to the faucet. I thought the faucet leaked. After a year and a few months, I had a plumber inspect the faucet. He determined that the dripping is caused by the hose, not the faucet. The collar where the hose connects to the faucet is defective. I contacted the manufacturer, Liberty Garden. Because the hose was defective when I bought it, I assumed they would send a replacement hose. However, because the 1-year warranty had expired, the company refused to send a replacement. The company was inflexible and difficult to deal with. Anyone who buys this reel should promptly determine whether the hose is defective.

Do not buy this model! The model 709 improves upon this one in a number of ways: - the hose attaches to a port located within the hose "wheels", so the hose doesn't kink going over those wheels. (Several reviewers, here and on Amazon, noted they had to buy hose couplers to route the hose attachment to between the wheels - not necessary with model 709.) - the wheels are solid, not hollow with holes that (as other reviews have mentioned) tend to rust - the handle attaches differently.

All made of steel seems can last a long time. Wheel is easy to crank and I truly glad to get such strong wheel with such bargain.

The reel is a good idea, however unless you anchor the unit to a surface, it falls over when reeling up the hose. In addition, the edges started to rust after having it in use for only a month.

Gift recipient was happy.

Did not come with components to mount to the wall.

this is an awful product. It doesn't hold 200ft of 5/8 hose that's heavy duty. After only 2 months of use, it was leaking from all connections. I returned it.

Product did not meet our expectations. The handle keeps coming off. I had to go purchase lock lug nut to stop the handle for falling off.
