Wow, just took our new Yellow Tandem Manta to the water with my son. We had a great time and we can't wait to go again. It really was a lot of fun. I was even able to fit it on my Hyundai car roof top to transport it.
Thanks for helping our family to make memories. Love the Lifetime brand and very proud to be a part of it.

Lots of fun!
My husband and I bought this as a fun way to get outdoors and exercise. We've really enjoyed it. It's a little heavy for me to lift by myself, but the two of us manage it just fine.

One stable ride!
I purchased this kayak two years ago and have enjoyed every minute I have spent on it. It holds 3 people comfortably and is very stable. I also use it to fly model seaplanes and boats. I load all my equipment and even use the handy channels to put up a shade umbrella. Although I store it in the open all summer the color has not faded. I was a great addition to my hobby of boating and I tow it or strap it to my boat's swim platform. Great way to get to the beach when I'm anchored off shore. Overall a very useful kayak with plenty of room for passengers and gear.

What a great review! Thank you for taking time to post. One of our best features on the kayaks is the stability. We are glad to hear you are getting such great use from your Manta. Hope you and your seaplanes have many safe trips. Happy yaking! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IbVz5KqcUGM

Great flat water kayak
I am a share holder in a private water ski lake and ski club in northern Utah. Our lake and club has been in operation for 13 years. We currently own 2 of the Manta Kayaks and have truly enjoyed them. They are great for a paddle around the lake. They are stable and easy to paddle. Everyone from kids to adults enjoy these boats. They are very durable and our ski club members use them almost daily May-Sept. Being a club with approximately 25 members and their families you can imagine the abuse these kayaks take. They are constantly in the sun day after day, they are typically not well cared for and they have proven to be up to the daily abuse. We have owned several brands over the years and we think these are the best. Great, affordable, fun boat!

Awesome Kayak!
I bought this kayak Bc I wanted a stable kayak that I could take my 2 kids, 4 & 3, in with me. The 3 of us fit in it fine and it was super stable in the water. This kayak allowed us all to enjoy the water together.

Best value
I started with 2 but now have 4 lifetime Kayaks and I love them. They are light weight yet durable. Taking my grandchildren with me on the tandem is such a fun bonding experience. I was surprised at how stable they are on the water and very easy to maneuver. The price made them affordable so we can take the whole family out on the water. The adjustable back rest provides support and comfort for all sizes.

I've had my Lifetime kayak for about 4 years
We've hauled our Lifetime fishing kayak around the country, either in the toy hauler or the bed of the truck - mine is forest green in color and only came with one paddle. And we needed to get floaty cushions for the seats, never did use the back rests. We fished with it in IL, WI, LA, TX and FL. I'm sure it will last forever, great value for the price.

My first kayaking experience
My sister-in-law bought this lime green double person kayak about a month ago and just recently took my two daughters and I up to Pineview reservoir for an evening out . This was our first experience in a kayak and I must say, I'm in love! The kayak was comfortable and I love the backrests. They were so comfortable and supportive. I can't wait to go kayaking again!

Love this Kayak!!!!
this was a birthday gift from my sons. Wanted this for the nontip feature. I wanted it especially because I wanted to take my rottie kayaking. And I must give the highest rating because it proved its worth. Took my dog out for the first time and she jumped over board. We were in the middle of the lake And the dog is months old and 70 pounds so it took some work but I was able to pull her back on board and my kayak did not fail me. Love my kayak !!!!!

Made paddling the lake a breeze!
My wife and I borrowed a friends Manta last weekend, and now we want one for ourselves. We weren't sure how it would handle the weight of both of us, but we were pleasantly surprised how stable and smooth it was in the water. Now we just to need to save enough money to purchase one for ourselves :)

Strong & Reliable!
The Lifetime Manta Kayak is one of a kind! Very comfortable for 2 adults & a small child or 3 children. I call it my tank because it's indestructible!
This sit on top kayak is extremely safe for children or novice kayakers since it does not take on water & will never tip over!! Don't hesitate for years of reliable kayaking!

Great Boat!
We bought our Manta Kayak about 3 years ago. We love it! The only change we made was to buy better backrests with a bit of seat cushion on the bottom and higher back support. I am 250# and my wife 150# and no problems whatsoever. The third seat between front and back let one person paddle at the right balance point. I wish there was a rudder option for traveling longer distances.

Simply the best
This is the most stable kayak we own. The back rests on the seat make riding comfortable and the craft sits high enough out of the water that you do not get wet. Cup holders and bungee cords make this kayak just about perfect for a day on the lake. We own 4!

Great Family Fun!
Our whole family loves our Manta. We have had two adults and a child on it with no issues. Great to transport, light enough to haul most places, but very durable. We use it regularly for general family fun and also for fishing. Two adults can easily fish from it. It handles nicely in various conditions and is stable on the water. I highly recommend this Kayak!!

Exactly as advertised !
Received new green Manta Tuesday afternoon, Saturday we unwrapped and took it out...and it was great! I was hesitate, but the hesitation quickly left when I lowered myself into the sitting position. The stability is wonderfully secure, no tipping or rocking..I am 68 yrs. young, 5'9, 230 #s, female. That says a lot in regard to my hesitation! Plus, I cannot swim...I wear a life jacket at all times.
My husband has great respect for the water, and is a strong swimmer..those things plus he is very agile..althought he weights in at 207#, we seated ourselves comfortably, manned our paddles and around the lake we went.
Easy to maneuver in the water, easily pulled on shore. The seating is quite comfortable with the backrest , and the assorted feet wells allow you to choose the comfort level you want, plus sturdiness for your body.
Yes, I would recommend this product to all, I found the advertisement to be true, considering how hesitate I was beforehand, I feel very secure sitting on top this kayak. Thank you for a great USA product! GMC

My Bugout Kayak
Third seasons owner and still loving it. Took it out to Huntington Beach Harbour every summer for salt water fishing. Add a trolling motor with a 12V deep cycle battery on it and it works for 5 hours. We couldn't believe it can care both of us. I am 185lbs and my friend is 275lbs. The battery weight 55lbs and the motor weight 50lbs. It exceed the weight limit. Unbelievable. We need another one soon to convert it to catamaran.

not your traditional Kayak
So not traditional kayaks by any means...but my family can stand on them like a paddle boat, jump off them, get back on them in water over their heads as well as paddle along comfortably and not flip over, even in choppy water. I had rented the sit-inside kayak and my daughter tipped hers. If we had been in deep water there was no way she was going to dump out the water and get back in. We wanted something to paddle in but have fun in as well without fear of tipping over. I bought this tandem kayak, the small lime green single kayak for my 10 year old (has a little swim up platform on back) and the blue lotus/calypso for my 14 year old. The tandem was for me and my other daughter or husband...but now I guess it will be me and the hubby as my 12 year old wants a blue calypso as well. My husband says their ugly but looks certainly aren't everything! Looks kind of funny with 4 stacked on top of my kia soul but there is no way to put them in the vehicle...

Best value in Kayaks for a big guy, or even a family
I've had my Manta now for a couple of months. It has been in both saltwater & freshwater lakes. Great to fish out of by myself, and equally fun to run tandem. I fished Galveston Bay with no issues at all. She fits INSIDE of my Toyota van!
I'm no small guy, but with my wife aboard, we easily paddled around our 8 acre lake. My 6'2 .. 240 lb son took his THREE kids out for a ride a few weeks ago!
This is a do-all craft. I've owned over 25 boats from 27 ft sailboats on down. This is the smallest boat of all and so far, the most fun. I am 72 yrs of age and I love this yak!

Great family kayak
This kayak is not meant for speed, but does fairly well. Windy conditions will cause it to go left to right more.
Good quality for the price, and the kids love it. I enjoy taking solo rides as well. Love that it doesn't tip, especially when the kids are with me. Would be nice if the backrests were slightly taller. And a storage compartment is needed. But very impressed with this purchase. Great exercise for the entire family.

Perfect!!!
It long and wide enough for my 5yrs old son and I to get out to the ocean with 12v Watersnake motor in the back. I also pimp my kayak with a single aluminum tube run across attached on each end with the flat aluminum 24"X 10" sheet with 8" 90% angle to stablelize when sailing along the coast of southern california. I don't know how fast we were going but it felt likes over 10 knot per hour when the wind was blowing.

A Hidden Gem For The Price
I have kayaked for 15 years. The Manta is my favorite! PROS: Made in US!The length is perfect for the roof of my Ford Escape, the accessories are durable, the features built into the kayak are plentiful. No product is 100% perfect but I'm rating this 5 stars because it has worked perfectly on all my kayak adventures without want or wear. I am 6'1 and 220 lbs and I comfortably fit 3 adults in my kayak (me included) without any fear of tipping. The 3-seat configuration is especially handy, and multiple footrests make restless legs a thing of the past. I also love the multiple seat back configurations - it's quick to change from solo to tandem and back. Molded features are beyond plentiful. Cup holders are large, scupper drains are thoughtfully placed, both the back and front easily carries cargo, and THE MOST CLEVER (BUT UNINTENDED) FEATURE is you can sunbathe comfortably in the prone position by putting your head at the front of the kayak! I also love the fishing rod insert, and did anybody notice the paddle inserts which double as strap guides when transporting the kayak? I did. CONS: The kayak drifts a little left-to-right because of the size and the bottom layout. A mild keel (maybe 2") down the middle for stability would solve that. The inevitable location of seat backs negate most lumbar support. The hull drain could be more thoughtfully placed - a little water is always left behind. Having only one side handle is pointless without the other. If the sail works with the Manta, I would be extremely happy. The motor mount seems expensive for such a simple function, as do the other motor accessories. The front paddle rest is impossible to use if you have forward cargo. Although aesthetically displeasing, it would be nice to have parallel paddle rests (or inserts) going the long way, as the paddles tend to unseat upon embark/disembark. CLOSING: Honestly, although I have some small cons, I am extremely happy with this product. I can't wait for version 2.0!

Great value - tons of fun with the family!!
I absolutely LOVE this kayak and for the price I really don’t think you can lose. It is big enough for me my 2 6yo twins, their 4yo brother and their 6 you cousin, still with plenty of room for me!!!! I have to agree with EVERYTHING said in the new youtube video. This kayak is VERY stable, the kids use it to jump off and climb back on with no fear of tipping. When I take it solo and sit in the middle seat it tracks relatively well. And you can EASILY stand up and use it as a SUP!!! (I plan asking Santa for a SUP paddle for Christmas to use with this yak), ever at 200+ lbs I have no problem pulling myself up out of the water when I jump in to cool off!!! I ONLY have 2 suggestions/recommendations; 1) add a storage hatch like the one offered on the Fishing yak, (there is room for a small cooler/bag on the back platform, but something to put under the deck in a wet bag would be nice). 2) a carrying handle on the both sides., (would give 5 stars if it had these 2 features) YES this is light enough for one person to carry, but due to the width it gets a little awkward when carrying it by yourself. I would DEFENITELY recommend this kayak for someone looking for an entry level SOT to paddle around with the family or by yourself (including fishing from it). I was looking at other brands that were easily TWICE the price (and up) and slightly longer.
