It was better than expected, because the dimming light level can be set at any degree, and then when you touch the light switch it gradually brightens to the set level and then when you touch the light switch for off - it gradually dims to off. Cool !

Excellent product with top notch customer support. Even if you know next to nothing about replacing a switch, their electrician-trained support staff can walk you through things step by step. You'll end up with a high quality new switch, and learn a bit in the process.

Dimmer causes lights to flash, problem since 2015
I purchased the "Maestro LED+ Dimmer Switch" and the "Maestro Companion Multi-Location Dimmer Switch" to dim (4) HALO Canless Recessed lights. Once the dimmer has been unused for a period of time (e.g. overnight) and I turn on the light (from either switch) I get a full brightness flash, and a second or so later the light comes on to the dimmed setting. I did some searches on the internet to try and find out the cause and I found a discussion thread that indicates these dimmers have been experiencing this problem since 2015. Why are they still being sold? Stay clear of the Lutron dimmers unless you KNOW they are going to work!!!

We also suggest making sure your bulb has been tested and approved by Lutron to provide the best dimming performance with your dimmer. There is currently no industry standard in LED manufacturing; since not all LEDs are designed the same, performance will vary with different dimmers. The Lutron dimmer switches work as expected and do the job. Shopping at Home Depot is frustrating however, as I had to go to multiple stores to find something as simple as this dimmer switch in stock.

Homeowner friendly!!!
These dimmer switches are easy to install and look great. Home owners really seem to like their ease of operation and the fact they "remember" the last setting used. It is helpful at times that there is no need for a neutral wire. These are the style dimmers i recommend when i do remodels.
