Modern. Sleek. Beautiful. BUY A VALVE!!!!
This is a beautiful, clean, modern looking, minimalist trim kit. I adore the look which is why I decided to keep it despite the problems I encountered. I know now that "valve not included" is really marketing speak for "beware: you are about to spend a lot of money to complete this purchase"! Not only was the valve another $94 but it had to be special ordered which delayed my bathroom reno almost a week. Translation: I was MOST inconvenienced. I was NOT happy. I suppose Home Depot gets a pass on this as they did alert me that it did not come with a valve. That being said, I am not a plumber, so like most end users, I purchase what appeals to me aesthetically. This did. I temporarily suffered. Lesson learned. All in all, I like this. It has great water pressure and it fits the style I wanted. Just be sure to order your special valve at the same time.

Looks nice but has absolutely no water pressure and we have 80psi home water pressure

The Moen Align Posi-Temp Single-Handle Tub and Shower Faucet Trim Kit in Matte Black (Valve and Shower Head Not Included) does not regulate pressure. This trim kit was mis-labeled and failed to fit onto...
This trim kit was mis-labeled and failed to fit onto our shower. This is not a moentrol valve, this is an incompatible posi-temp valve. I paid a plumber to come out to install this kit and ended up paying for his time with an incompatible valve. This product needs to be re-named!

This is not a MOENTROL!!!!
I have the Moen Legend with cartridge 1225, which looking for a trim kit is called "Moentrol". It seems like there are hardly any good options to upgrade as far as design and color option goes. So when I found this "Align Moentrol", i was excited and despite the high price, purchased it. I followed the instructions, tried it over 10 times, but failed to properly install. Finally called Moen and they advised met that it is not a Moentrol... Back to squre one in finding a black chic trim kit for Moentrol. There are so many positemps but not enough moentrols....

Looks great and easy to install. Does collect water spots easily, so if that bothers you, choose a finish besides brushed nickel.
