I paid someone to install this light along with the others I bought, so can't comment directly on ease of installment, but as far as I know, there were no problems. It's an attractive, reliable piece of outdoor lighting so far. The one I replaced was not as well constructed and the glass cover kept coming off. I've enjoyed the lighting which can be adjusted to aim high or low in a garden.

Very Reliable Spot Light
Easy to assemble. Draws only 11 watts but illuminates like a 50 watt spotlight. I have a string of 14 flood lights in my backyard and never had to replace a unit unless the gardener broke it at the base. Hard to do because the base is thick, but the weak point appears to be at the top of the stake where the threads begin. Another negative issue is that there is no apparent way to replace the LED bulb. Once it burns out, it's trash. This has happened frequently on the pathway lights, which makes me very unhappy.

Excellent lights, might be too bright
Nice lights, very well made. Solid metal housing and quality adjustment screw. Lights are very bright for landscape lights at 300 lumens. Light pattern is smooth and does not look unsightly against the house with a nice wide beam. These lights are borderline too bright, and I am thinking of downgrading to the the 20w equivalent LED.
I used the quick connectors for testing and placement to get the lights up and running in 20 minutes, but once everything is exactly how I want it I will be going back and removing those connectors and splicing into the low voltage cable so they stay connected through the winter.
The attached picture shows 4 of these lights and the porch light on at the same time

Nice lights
I have six of these in the front of my house including my light for my flag. I have them on a 300wt box and really get a lot of compliments.

Lighting up Old Glory
I recently upgraded to a 32-foot brushed aluminum flagpole to replace a gnarly old 20-foot steel pole. At the same time, I decided to install some lights for nighttime display, and after doing some research I settled on these LED floodlights.
I wanted something a little more quality/permanent than the cheezy plastic ground spikes, and the bases screwed right onto half-inch threaded PVC pipes, which are set in concrete bases. I also purchased a Malibu power supply with "electric eye" that turns the lights on at dusk, off at dawn.
I'm quite pleased with the results. But be aware - these are FLOOD lights; I wish they were more of a "spot" beam to focus the light in a smaller space. But these will do. The light color is nice - not that stark bluish-white you think of with LED illumination.
I anticipate these lights will last a long, long time... and that the savings realized in lower energy consumption will reward me for the higher purchase price of LED illumination over incandescent.
I've attached a photo of my new flagpole, and you can see the two lights about 6 feet out from the base.

Perfect with frosted film on glass
When I first plugged this in I liked how bright it was but I didn't like how harsh it was. it looked like a U shaped beam on the wall with a sharp edge cutoff. Sort of like a projector based HID headlight.
Adding film on it completely softened the lights I it doesn't look like a flashlight. it should of come like this!

USED BUT NOT ABUSED
I PURCHASED FOUR OF THESE LIGHTS, THEY WORK VERY WELL. BUT 3 OF THE FOUR WERE USED , THE WIRE CONNECTORS WERE CUT OFF LEAVING JUST A SHORT PIECE OF LEADIN WIRE TO WORK WITH. THREE OF THE FOUR WERE DIRTY AND HAD TO BE CLEANED UP BEFORE INSTALLING. THAT BEING SAID, THE LIGHTS WORK VERY WELL, AND ARE A GREAT VALUE, I PLAN TO BUY FOUR MORE, BUT I WILL CHECK THEM OVER TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE NEW. BEFORE I LEAVE THE STORE. THANKS DENNY HAMILL

Extremelly Satisified
These are extremely bright, I think more like 75 Watt. The light quality is excellent - very warm white. They are strong, they did not break as i pushed them into our clay soil. They look great. The wire connector is easy to use with large pliers. Also really happy with Malibu's 20 W and 75 W equivalent flood lights.

Bright and stylish
A little pricey but you pay for what you get. Good quality so should hold up for years. This really brightened up the front of the house.

beware these do not last
I installed 4 of these led spot lights in June and in just under ninety days 3 out of the four have failed. I should have read the bad reviews and listened to the complaints. Home Depot let me return them and I will try another brand. These are not worth the time and effort to install them. Five more days and I would have not been able to return them and would have had to ship them back to the manufacturer and that is not worth going through. Do yourself a favor and walk on by when you see these

Will not last
During the first three months, everything was great.
9-12 months every Malibu LED light has failed while Portfolio from another store is still working.
Warranty for Malibu is not good, will not answer the phone 888-295-7348
Do not buy this product!

Very effective garden lights
These lights were chosen because they are attractive, relatively inexpensive, bright and easy to install. We have tall evergreen trees along the side of our back yard. In order to see the beauty of these trees, we purchased these lights to form a "light" barrier along the length of the trees. At night, there appears to be lighted trees along the side of the house making the nighttime a nice time to appreciate the trees. With the 35W of light, the lights shine "into the sky" making almost the entire tree visible.
The 35WLED lights are just perfect for the job. We have 7 lights on wiring for low watt landscaping wire all controlled from dusk to dawn by a photocell.. Looks like a "photo op"!

Died after an hour of use
We installed it and it died after an hour. We will return it and try another. Went to a lot of trouble to install low voltage light so kind of committed at this point.

Disappointed with the life of the product
I bought 2 lights from Homedepot for my landscaping project. When installed it, I was very impressed with the light. Very bright light with solid construction, and warm light. but in one week, one of my light stopped working. I did not see anything wrong with the unit, but the bulb won't burn. When the light goes bad the whole unit goes bad. It is trash then. No bulb replacement is possible. I am returning both the lights to Homedepot.

Good at Start, Longevity Questionable
Product does exactly what advertised. Very bright illumination, warm soft brightness, solid feeling, like 50 Watts using just 11 Watts. Bought about 12 of them for my large yard, looks great overall, problem is after a few months, one burned out...Then another...At that point I looked at each and everyone one and noticed that the "diodes" on the majority of them were burning out. Each one has 4 diodes, and about 2 on each one are out. I've been able to take back a few to get them exchanged, but lets face it, warranty has run out on all of them about now. So now what?
Also be careful with the clips that allow it to connect to your power line. Because I had so many I had to go around moving them around and the clips with fall apart if you unclip them more than 5 times.

Good for up lighting
We bought this second set of lights to illuminate our backyard as we had used them for the front yard house lighting and were very happy with the light output. The downside of these lights is the bulky transformer needed. Ours was installed on an outlet that frequently loses power and we are having to constantly reprogram the timer on the transformer.

Great landscap light
great light but the attaching cord should be 6" longer.
Also, make sure the light cover is on tight. any moisture will kill the LEDs

Great outdoor light at a Great Price
These lights make easy work of either a new installation or replacing existing landscape lighting. Two of us installed two 300 watt transformers, each with 500 feet of wire, 250 feet per leg and connected 12-15 lights per leg. This system works beautifully and lights up the yard so the older owners are not afraid to return home late at night. The only drawback is the connecter... I see these push in connecters failing in the first year. I made all me connections directly with waterproof wire nuts... That is the correct way to install it.

Throws a lot of light
We have used Malibu low voltage lighting for quite a while and have never found fault with product quality. However, I am constantly frustrated with their connector design. It works well but I hope you never want to move a light from its original location. It's very difficult to remove the connector without damage.

Good Product and Customer Service
I have been a user of Malibu products for a long time.
Malibu’s timers & transformers and flooding lights are easy to install and work well.
My experience with Malibu services has been excellent. I recently found one of my Malibu’s timer & transformer and one of the LED flooding lights not working in my front yard. I contacted Malibu Customer Service. After only a few necessary questions and red tapes on their side, Malibu decided to send me replacement transformer & timer and floodlight. All now is working fine. The Customer Service contact person was very helpful and supportive. I am very happy with Malibu products and services and recommend them.

great light
I'm using these uplights to accent trees and the look is terrific. Most of my low-voltage lights are the lower wattage LED ones that are less pricey and they work well but these are really impressive.
