This flooring product was overall excellent. I had no issues...
This flooring product was overall excellent. I had no issues installing it and none of the pieces were defective in any way that I could see. If this is indicative of the general product line I recommend it without reservation.

serious color problems
I bought 80 cases of this flooring off of the ordered sample. Although I do understand there is going to be some color variants in the planks them selves, there was a serious problem with the actual stain or glaze that they use. It was complety different. We then returned it and ordered 80 cases of a significantly lighter color and when put against the original purchase the colors were absolutely the same. The two we ordered were see Cliff and Santa Monica.Love the quality of the product the saw cuts natural look is exactly what we were looking for but their color control process is horrible.

The French Oak Seacliff is a part of the Malibu Wide Plank Reclaimed Series which features a Prefinished Ultra-Low-Gloss Bona Finish, Elegantly Wire Brushed with Unique Circular and Straight Saw Marks. This product is constructed of French Oak Character grade hardwood which may include naturally occurring cracks, splits, knotholes, mineral streaks, filler for stability, and natururally occurring color variation which adds to the beauty of this hardwood floor. We LOVE our floors

the Malibu Wide Plank Reclaimed Series in French Oak Seacliff features a Prefinished Ultra-Low-Gloss Bona Finish, Elegantly Wire Brushed with Unique Circular and Straight Saw Marks. This ultra-low gloss in approx 8-10% gloss level is finished with Bona Low Gloss Urethane applied at the factory, The wirebrushed/distressed Straight Saw and Circle Saw marks are designed to look like a hand crafted reclaimed floor. Your boards should not have any splinters and as recommended with all hardwood flooring it's recommended your purchase a minimum of 8-10% overage for cuts & waste.

I ordered a box of this product because I want...
I ordered a box of this product because I want to see the color of my house and it is absolutely beautiful. It’s a little too light for what I’m going for but I would love to use it in another place. We laid out all the flooring to see how it would look And it went together amazing.

Looks fantastic... but the “engineered hardwood” is a laminate...
Looks fantastic... but the “engineered hardwood” is a laminate over particle board... not plywood.I’m was not willing to take the chance that it would hold up. Disappointed I had to pay for a full box verses a sample to find this out.

The entire Collection of 3/8" Malibu Wide Plank hardwood flooring in 3/8 in. thickness x 6-1/2 in. width x 15 in. to 48 in. random length planks with a UNILIN CLICK locking system are Constructed with a High Density Fiberboard (HDF) core, this is the 5th bullet point in the product overview description. Most Locking Engineered Hardwood Floors are constructed with an HDF core which is extremely durable, will not crack or fail when the floor is installed properly and provides excellent joint integrity. There are also several major manufacturers using an HDF core in their constructions of standard tongue & groove hardwood flooring. The HDF Core is preferred when manufacturing locking hardwood floors as it is easy to mill and provides a very durable locking joint that is easy to install.

Loving it
The color is true to the picture. I have been very pleased and have had many compliments on the flooring. Great for a DIYer. I wanted a light color for a lake house property where I had painted the walls a light grey. Looks great!
