Does the job but....
This seam tape does the job of connecting underlayment seams, however as you are taping I found that the tape ripped off the roll on several occasions and getting the tape off the roll was at times difficult. I spent extra time trying to get the tape going again

The beginning of the roll applies well, the last third of the first roll is impossible. The tape keeps ripping unevenly and is very difficult to find the end piece and correct, only to happen again and again. Second roll never was good from the get go, same problem. I switched to duct tape far more effective and easy to use.

Quality has decreased
Initially I kept thinking I somehow received a bad roll, but roll after roll it was the same. When I compared to a roll purchased probably maybe 8-12 months ago to rolls purchased recently, I could definitely tell the difference. The new rolls have have a terrible adhesive and/or less. They continually fail to stay adhered. Additionally they have become thinner; maybe that can be seen as a pro but less adhesive is definitely a big problem. I will no longer buy Roberts Seam tape.

Very questionable. I would have preferred a product that was not textured as this one is. It would seem that it could tear easily at the tapped seem, but unfortunately
this was the only choice HD had.

Thank you for taking time to review this product. It is unfortunate the Tape Texture and Tear performance did not meet your expectation. We would like to offer a bit of information to help lend a better understanding of product usage. For best performance: Unroll a few inches of tape and make sure the center of the tape is over the underlayment seam. Press firmly to secure the first few inches. Unroll a foot or two at a time, letting the tape lay over the seams. Press the tape over the seams for a secure bond. Repeat this procedure covering all seams. A sharp utility knife or quality tape dispenser is recommended to sever the tape to begin a new seam. We will be sure to consider this feedback when determining possible quality and performance upgrades to this tape. – Customer Care
