Really does provide a gentle shower for my plants. The regular water hose leaves a pool of water in one spot or damages the leaves. This does neither. It offers a range on the handle to allow you to provide a lot of water or a trickle. Even if you open it wide up the water comes out gently. Which is exactly what I was looking for.

Saves my back watering the raised beds.

I like this watering wand very much. The grip is comfortable and the shut-off valve is "thumb friendly". I have four hose lines for watering my property, so I water a lot. The only weak spot for this watering wand is in the threaded hose connection to the handle. I must be an animal when I am watering my property sections as I have broken off two hose wand bases over the last two years. The assembly to this part of the wand handle could be a little more beefed up for durability. Otherwise, if you are a casual gardener and not too aggressive while watering, it should last a long time.

I had wanted a wand with a trigger, but I chose this one (only one in stock) and am glad I got this instead. The thumb control for the water pressure is wonderful. It's the perfect length to water without bending, and I love the variable water stream settings. I realized as I swapped out my nozzle for the wand that I have the same Melnor brand hand nozzle which I also love. Good quality, long lasting, no leaks!

Great product. No leaks. The on/off "switch" is smooth and perfectly located to easily adjust with the thumb.

Very light and easy to use especially when watering in between big bushes/plants.

Watering products take a beating. Face it. I've bought some pretty expensive items through the years, but when they handle water, including hard ions in the water, and then stay out in the sun and UV, they take a beating. For the price, this is fine. Do I expect it to last 7 years? No. I expect a few. I would have given it 5 stars except that the flow valve is very stiff. The flow pattern (see photo) is very good.

I like to use long watering wands because they are versatile and do a good job of watering the plants. Unfortunately, I have never had one that has lasted longer than a year before malfunctioning. This model comes with a seven year warranty so, in theory at least, it should be better made than the others I have owned. This is a nice tool to use and it delivers water form a trickle to a healthy shower. The water volume control on mine is very stiff and I hope it will ease up over time. The video shows the wand in use. The special pulsating effect is not a feature though – there was air in the hose pipe.

Some things in life are so simple and yet so very useful. That describes this product. If you have plants hanging under your patio or tree or wherever, this device is SOOOOOOOO useful! It truly puts out a gentle rain of water - just like its title. It is just the right length and delivers a stream of rain-like water. It is so gentle on your plants in how it delivers the water - it caresses the plants. Such a pleasure to use. There ya go.

This is my 3rd wand style tool and I really enjoy using it. Simple, no bells and whistles. Easy to use flow control at your finger tips. Easy to take apart and unclog if necessary. Light weight and built with quality material. This is one of those garden tools that will last for years. I really like Melnor products as they are built with quality material.

I realize this is a pretty economical watering wand and is not much in $$. The quality of the build is actually pretty decent and the fact that it is very light but still solid is a plus. The water valve is stiff at first but I've had many of these and that is typical and I don't detract anything for that. It is nice that the head screws off to allow easy cleaning if you get debris in the head since many of these don't do this. That is a good touch. And the materials seem solid even though lightweight especially at the low price. That said, though the water stream out of it was too weak for my tastes. If you have higher water pressure and want a very gentle stream maybe this might be perfect. Or if you have some very delicate plants and need water directly on them maybe it would be OK. My water pressure is "fair" but the flow out of this is just too weak compared to another wand I have using the same hose and same flow rate. I suspect the reason for this is the smaller tubing used. Note how much smaller in diameter it is compared to the other wand I have that has stronger flow. I had thought this might be a nice change because it is lighter and we have a LOT of plants to water every day an dragging around less weight might be good. But the low flow rate might just mean watering will take longer. Since it takes over an hour now that is not desirable for me. For the low price the value is fair but it is just not what I expect from such a tool. I think some minor changes (tube size) could make this a much better tool.

The wand is well made and does a great job at not damaging my wife's flowers because the end piece is large so it reduces water pressure to make a gentle sprinkle. The end cap can be removed to clean out any water deposits plus the trigger can lock and there is a dial if you want even less water pressure. I would not suggest this wand for cleaning a deck or walkway that would require more pressure but for gardening use it's great.

This is a well make waterer, wand is made of aluminum and the controls are made of plastic which makes it very light which is a really big help if you have a lot of watering to do. The Gentle Rain Shower has a trigger and a water flow control that makes it easier to handle. I like the shower type the best, because it doesn't beat up my plants and blow my mulch everywhere.

I'm really happy with this product. After attaching it to the hose, you can use the trigger to turn it on, then there is a dial to adjust the strength of the water. Even the highest level isn't so strong that it would hurt the plants. It's pressure at it's highest is like a strong rain, for maybe more durable plants. For seedlings, simple turn the pressure down and you can give it more of a light watering (not a mist, just less water coming out at once). I'm very happy with this product, the handle is easy to hold and doesn't tire my hand out like a traditional nozzle. I would definitely recommend it!

Has a gentle flow that waters exactly where you want it. Will not blast pedals off your flowers or blow dirt away from the roots. I like that it has an adjustment for the flow on the wand also!

Works great for my current need.....I use it to reach the top and back shelves to gently water my greenhouse plants in the winter time.

I purchased this watering shower wand for my father, who is now in his over 83 years young. I was noticing he was bending down to water some of his plants in his garden to trying to reach up for handing flower baskets with a bit of a stress. The mentor watering wand has provided flexibility, accuracy and less bending on the back for my father. No more reaching to get the house or over spraying of water trying to shoot water into the planters or pots. Water pressure control at the thumb is easy to use. Lever works well and just makes watering more efficient.
