There's no way to hook this up to a drill and it does not say on the packages that it does not hook up to a drill. It's just got female threads so you need some kind of attachment to even use it. I did not know I was buying part of a tool. I have a photograph below.

I bought the 1-1/4" hole saw, with spindle, to mount Moen grab bars in a tiled shower, using Moen's SecureMount system. The key to using this hole saw successfully is to create a divot in the surface of the tile for the pilot of the hole saw to lock into. For that, I had great results with a small silicon/carbide grinding stone in my Dremel tool. The saw cuts through tile easy-peasy. Keep the speed fairly low and don't push hard, or the cutter will get very hot.

Very impressed. I was worried it would take some time to cut a 2” hole but cut quickly. Used a spray bottle to keep the bit cool and showed little wear after cutting through 1 1/2 “ granite. The key to these is to keep them cool.

Needed to drill a few holes in porcelain tile. I did not get through a single hole before it was completely dull.

I bought this bit to drill through granite. I could only get 1/4" in and the bit was junk. I stopped every 20 seconds or so to give it a break. It still was useless. I am returning it.

key point with all bits, especially cutting stone, don't try and cut at 500mph. Yake your time and let the bit do the work for you. I cut granite for RO hook up in the kitchen for culigan tech. I started as a dry cut at about a 45 angle on medium speed. It helped with the bit to not skip across the counter. once i had it in i started to angel it up right slowely till bit was perpindiclar to counter. Used vacumme to collect dust while drilling. once up right I used a tiny bit of water to help keep bit cook and dust down. All the drilling was at med speed. Time was about 5 min to complete. This was my first time ever cutting into granit and this tool worked great. Sorry for grammer as reviewed using phone.

Great tool, it function very well, I did a new hole to granite quartz counter in few mins with proper procedure. I have to purchased: Milwaukee Tool Retractable Starter Bit with Large Arbor (For this Diamond Plus Hole Saws) in order to make it happened. It can be used for hard marble, tile etc. Let see how it stick in quality for long terms usages.

Was looking for a good quality drill bit for putting a 1in hole in a large ceramic tile for a shower arm. I actually made a 1 1/4 diameter hole. This worked flawlessly. I used light pressure and a dipping can of water to put the bit in after 10 seconds of cutting to cool it. the adjustable retracting pilot bit is excellent at keeping the bit from walking. I was looking for something of quality. When I saw the Milwaukee name, and it mimics the design of high quality core cutting bits, I was all in. I would recommend it for what I did.

Made nice 2inch hole in 1 1/2 in thick granite

Make me easy to make a prefect hole on my kitchen cabinet without too much mess definetly pretty sharp cause the hole is smooth not like if I use the normal drill bit. I'm will buy more of this hole saw in different size cause this is actually a great tools to have at the house.

It’s so easy and doesn’t rag the edge of the hole. It did not punch out the bottom of the tile either. I can’t wait to get more sizes. The core removes from the bit easily. Milwaukee is a trusted name in my life for many, many years.

I used this Milwaukee 1-3/8 in. Diamond Plus Hole Saw to drill holes for both the shower head and the tube spout. The shower surround was made of some type of very hard plastic with reinforcing and the instructions said to use a diamond hole saw, and this worked great. I hope sometime in the future I'll need it for something else as it's quite pricy for 2 holes, but then again it's $975 less than one plumber wanted to trim out the shower...really! Another two wanted $500...So it's a bargain in my book! LOL. BTW You'll also need to buy Milwaukee's Retractable Starter Bit with Large Arbor For Diamond Plus Hole Saws Model # 49-56-7135 Store SKU #1000043590 (for hole saws larger than 1 1/4") I see in the pics now on the HD website that Milwaukee has changed the back of the hole saw to include access holes for easier clean out, nice...Milwaukee is always improving their tools, which is cool!

I bought this Milwaukee diamond hole saw to drill out a hole for a one hole shower controller. The material I had to drill was a plastic resin shower surround rather than fiberglass, and the instructions said to use a diamond hole saw, & this worked perfectly with no chipping or cracking of the surround. Looking back I really should have used a larger hole saw like a 4", but this actually did work, I just had to make a little cut on either side of the valve with my carbide M18 multi-tool for the screws for the cover plate.

The 1 1/4 inch Milwaukee diamond hole saw with the diamond cut arbor cut through the bathroom tile very easily along with spraying water onto the drill to keep the heat down. Only took a few minutes to drill the holes. I was then able to install the wingits plates to install the tub grab bar. Worked like a charm. Thank you.

Bought this to drill a hole through our sink to fit the supply lines of our new faucet after duliing a wood hole saw bit. Thought the sink was porcelain when we got this but found out it was cast iron after the hole was drilled so it worked super well. Be aware that you need to buy an arbor bit to attach this to your impact driver as this product doesn't come with it.

I used this to drill a hold for a bathtub drain.The project went perfect. I used some plumbers putty to make a little pond on the tile and drilled right through.

I will recommend this product if the job is on cement blocks but no for brick work.

Drilled 18 holes 3/4 of the bit depth and it cut great to the last one. At $35 price tag I was glad it completed the job

Worked perfectly with no chipping.

See the attached picture. A 2 1/2" circle was first laid out on four ceramic tiles. The individual tiles were then clamped onto a drill press and cut using the Milwaukee 2-1/2" Diamond Hole Saw and a little bit of water to keep the saw cool and the kerf clean. The trueness of the saw made for effortless and precise tile cutting.

Easy to handle and use

For the cost. These bits are awesome. 18 years I've been in the tile industry and I Highly recommend them.

I used this on my Brick Ranch house to run electrical conduit through for an outdoor hot tub, worked like a champ! Make sure you keep the blade wet with water and it drills through like butter!

Worked great need to remember to start at a angle.

Like so many other little DIY jobs, I needed a special tool that will only get used once or twice. In this case, a diamond hole saw to drill 2 holes through tile and backer to mount a shower bar. $40 combined between the hole saw and arbor is a bit steep for 2 holes but it was the only way to get the proper results. I toyed with the idea of buying 2 regular hole saws at $8 each and just ruining them but wasn't sure it would get through the tile.

I purchased this drill to make holes for the tap in the 3/4" thick quartz counter-top. Drill went through easily within about 20 seconds. Works great, it was easy to use. Very pleased here from the product.
